A beautiful sunrise over the Caribbean, as seen from the deck of the Carnival Glory cruise ship... set to the music of an obscure old Seals & Crofts song from 1978. (From the Seals and Crofts album Takin' It Easy)
Watch in real time as the sun rises up out of the clouds. It was one of the most beautiful sunrises I had ever seen!
You may notice the view shifting up and down very slowly... that's from the rocking of the cruise ship in the water.
This video was not enhanced or slowed down in any way. What you see here is exactly what the camera saw in real time as the sun rose that morning. I know the water looks fake or somehow computer generated... but this is exactly the way the camera captured it.
The camera was a Canon EOS 70D. Watch in 1080P resolution for best quality.

BAY CITY ROLLERS I Only Wanna Be With You
It would be remiss of me not to post one of the many hits that this incredibly popular Scottish boy band of the Mid Seventies achieved. Beginning with Bye Bye Baby in the middle of 1975, their run of Australian hits lasted until the end of 1977, with Give a little love, Money Honey, Rock n Roll Love Letter among the many chart placings they scored, not to mention the massive Rollermania that occurred when they made a promotional visit to Australia.
Perhaps one of the first true 'boy bands', the Rollers were a phenomenon, although not as huge in America - The United Kingdom and Australia were their biggest markets. But by 1978 band divisions and changes signposted the end of a feverish period for the group. They certainly left their mark on popular culture, with the squeaky clean image and tartan motifs - the Bay City Rollers are a 70's icon.
My favourite of their many hits was I only wanna be with you, and at the time this 12 year old did not realise that it was a cover of the iconic Dusty Springfield track. Its catchy tune and lyrics made it a radio staple, and it was a Top 15 Aussie hit in the Spring of 1976.
