Hia Boon Seafood (ร้านเฮียบูรณ์ซีฟู้ด) is a 1 table Thai seafood restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand. The family run restaurants is originally from Yala province in southern Thailand, but they lived for many years in Trat. Trat has some of the best seafood in Thailand, and when they moved to Bangkok, they wanted to bring top quality organic seafood to Bangkok. At first, the family just distributed seafood and did delivery, but their son Andaman, who is 20 years old, loved to cook. Customers were asking them to open just a single one table restaurant, and so they did. You have to book ahead and order ahead, but you can be guaranteed the seafood is fresh and top quality. It was a fun experience, and delicious seafood. The massive tiger prawns were delicious, but probably my favorite dishes were the steamed barramundi and the barracuda stir fried in chili garlic butter. #Bangkok #Thailand #ThaiFood

Here are the dishes we ordered:

Steamed fish, lime juice (ปลากะพงนึ่งมะนาว)
Shrimp salad (พล่ากุ้ง)
Barracuda, chili salt (ปลาน้ำดอกไม้ผัดพริกเกลือ)
Cuttlefish (หมึกหอมย่าง)
Grilled shrimp (กุ้งลายเสือเผา)
Pickled crab (ปูไข่ดอง)
Shrimp cakes (ทอดมันกุ้ง)

Total price - 4,350 THB ($143.40)

Seafood was fresh and delicious, and the taste of Chef Andaman’s cooking was wonderful. I also like how the entire eating experience is family style, and cooked and run all by their family.

Giant FRIED GARLIC SHRIMP!!! Best Food From The DEEP Sea!

???? Epic Pomfret Hot Pot -
????️ Nong Joke Restaurant in Krabi (ร้านน้องโจ๊ก) -

KRABI, THAILAND - For a long time now, Nong Joke Restaurant (ร้านน้องโจ๊ก) has been one of our favorite all around restaurants in Krabi. My wife is originally from Krabi, and went to the same school at Joke (owner of the restaurant), and so it’s always a good time to meet up with Joke and eat amazing seafood at his restaurant. #Krabi #Thailand #seafood

Today, we came early to see a bit of the fresh seafood - which they get directly from the local fishers right off the boat, just a few meters from the restaurant. You can be guaranteed that when you eat at Nong Joke Restaurant (ร้านน้องโจ๊ก) you are getting extremely fresh seafood. Along with a host of southern Thai food dishes and seafood, one of my favorite dishes to order is the king mackerel, deep fried and drizzled in soy sauce. I’ve tried this dish at so many restaurants throughout Thailand, and for sure this is my favorite version. It’s perfectly salty and fragrant. Along with king mackerel, we had crab sour curry (gaeng som boo), and special deep sea tiger prawns deep friend with garlic - recommended special of the day since they got shrimp today.

It was a huge and delicious seafood meal with southern Thai food, and I highly recommend Nong Joke Restaurant (ร้านน้องโจ๊ก) when you’re in Krabi, Thailand!

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Huge DEEP FRIED River Shrimp - Thai Food at Legendary Kui Mong (กุ่ยหมง) Restaurant!

Watch more from Bangkok food tour:
Best of Bangkok food tour with The Hungry Tourist:

During the Best of Bangkok Food Tour with The Hungry Tourist ( and Puppup ( one day for lunch we drove out to Kui Mong (กุ่ยหมง), a legendary restaurant that is the original restaurant in Thailand serving deep fried river shrimp (prawns).

In order to get the largest size, Puppup had to actually call the restaurant to order them one month in advance. If you just walk in you can get 400 or 600 gram shrimp probably, but the 800 gram single shrimp are hard to come by these days in Thailand.

Kui Mong (กุ่ยหมง) is very well known among Thais, mainly because most restaurant grill their river shrimp, but Kui Mong (กุ่ยหมง) is the first to deep fry them, and serve them in a ridiculously delicious oily shrimp sauce. The sauce is one of the greatest things you’ll ever taste on rice, combined with more chili garlic sauce and an alternating bite of succulent river shrimp.

They owners family are very nice, but unfortunately since it’s such a secret recipe, we weren’t able to see the cooking - so that’s why this is just a short extra Thai food video - only showing the massive deep fried Thai river shrimp and eating them.

Price - 2,000 THB ($63.44), per 800 grams shrimp

Read my full blog post review of Ruean Panya (ร้านเรือนปั้นหยา):

SAMUT SAKHON, THAILAND

Ruean Panya (ร้านเรือนปั้นหยา) is a Thai seafood restaurant about a 1 hour drive from Bangkok that recently received 1 Michelin Star. It was one of the restaurants I had not ever heard of, so finally, one fine day we drove out to the restaurant to taste their food - specifically their seafood.

Here are the dishes I ate at Ruean Panya (ร้านเรือนปั้นหยา):

Shrimp fried with salt (กุ้งทอดเกลือ) - These massive shrimp are a must order, huge and so fresh and firm. They are deep fried with salt.

Black pomfret (ปลาเต๋าเต้ยทอดกระเทียม) - This was one of the best dishes for me, a massive black pomfret, deep friend to an ultimate crisp, with tons of garlic.

Crab relish (หลนปูเนื้อ) - Another one of the most famous dishes at Ruean Panya (ร้านเรือนปั้นหยา) is their entire crab in a coconut milk thick relish. It’s a traditional Thai dish, and it’s a bit on the sweet side, but really extraordinarily delicious.

Crab chili dip (น้ำพริกเนื้อปู) - This simple de-shelled crab dip was fantastic.

Snail curry (แกงคั่วหอยขม) - This was ok, but not the best version I’ve ever had.

Long-whiskered catfish (ปลาอีกงราดพริดสูตรโบราณ) - This was a unique dish, very good deep fried catfish, covered in a thick and oily chili sauce.

Fried pork fish sauce (หมูทอดน้ำปลา) - Finally, my wife ordered the fried pork with fish sauce.

We ordered a lot of food, and all the Thai food at Ruean Panya (ร้านเรือนปั้นหยา) is served family style. So although it’s very expensive, we could have easily had 3 - 4 more people eating this entire meal to make the costs more manageable.
Total price - 9,765 THB ($298.74)

Ruean Panya (ร้านเรือนปั้นหยา) is an amazing restaurant, especially the seafood is what stood out. They are a 1 Michelin Star Thai food restaurant, well deserving. Well worth the drive!

???? Mae Hong Son Street Food Tour:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:
???? Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง):

BANGKOK, THAILAND: Easily the best all around seafood restaurant I’ve been to in Bangkok is Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) a restaurant where owner and chef P’Note sources his own seafood and also often goes fishing himself in Southern Thailand and brings back the catch to serve at the restaurant. Tonight we’re eating a huge seafood meal, and along with the best ever Thai pepper crab, P’Note served us an omakase meal of all the parts of a 40 kg. Giant grouper fish! #Bangkok #Thailand #seafood

Also in the video, I was hanging out and eating with friends P’Tan ( and P’Tape (

???? If you’re in Bangkok, Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง): is located in Bang Na, and they are also doing delivery across Bangkok. Seafood is the best of the best and they might have fresh seafood specials of the day.

We started this Thai seafood meal with the fresh giant grouper. P’Note and staff are highly skilled at parting and slicing fish. They parted it out, and actually for our meal we enjoyed some of the lesser known parts of the giant grouper, but some of the best tasting - like the collar, cheeks, and face. The pepper crab was loaded with green pepper, garlic, and kaffir lime leaves. Another favorite dish here are the penshells, or sometimes razor clams if available cooked Hong Kong style with tons of garlic, green onions, and mung bean noodles - the best!

Usually we eat at Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) at least once a week because the food is so incredible good, and fresh, and consistent. Come to Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) for the best seafood meal in Bangkok!

GIANT LOBSTER TOM YUM!! Insane Thai Street Food at Night Market in Bangkok, Thailand!

Talad Rot Fai Ratchada (ตลาดรถไฟรัชดา) - Also known as the train market, is one of the most popular night markets in Bangkok. It’s especially popular on the weekend when a younger crowd flocks to the market to eat the latest Thai street food trends, and hang out with friends.

The train market has in recent months become famous for its giant food - you’ll find a number of giant Thai dishes to try like egg noodles, pork bone soup, and now the massive lobster tom yum - possibly the world’s biggest bowl of tom yum?

Diaw Goong Rot Fai Restaurant (เตี๋ยวกุ้งรถไฟ) - This is the name of the restaurant, and when we ordered they started preparing the lobster.

Giant Lobster Tom Yum (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวต้มยำโครตกุ้งมังกรยักษ์) - They serve it in a basin, like a mini bathtub, not even a bowl. And it’s HUGE. They layer in the fish, squid, mussels, shrimp, and finally a giant lobster goes on top, followed by all the tom yum soup broth. Honestly, the seafood isn’t the freshest or best quality, but you don’t really go to eat a bathtub of seafood for the quality - you go for the insaneness of it.
Price - 2,800 THB ($89.27)

Here are the other Thai street foods we tried on this tour:

Seafood griddle cakes (ขนมครกทะเล)
Price - 60 THB ($1.91)

Green mango crab egg salad (ยำมะม่วงไข่ปูทะเล)
Price - 150 THB ($4.78)

Watermelon shake (แตงโมปั่น)
Price - 60 THB ($1.91)

Thanks again to Ramon for joining me on this Thai street food lobster tom yum food challenge! Again, check out Ramon:

Thai Street Food Michelin Star - GIANT CRAB OMELET at Jay Fai (ร้านเจ๊ไฝ) in Bangkok, Thailand!

►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week:
►T-shirts available now:

Congratulations to Jay Fai (ร้านเจ๊ไฝ) who recently was awarded a Michelin Star!

Jay Fai (ร้านเจ๊ไฝ) is no doubt one of the most legendary Thai street food restaurants in Bangkok - some people are loyal fans, others say that it’s overpriced. It’s a Thai restaurants in Bangkok that I had been wanting to eat at for a long time, but never got around to it - partly because it is so expensive. So finally one day for lunch, Ying and I drove over to central Bangkok to try Jay Fai (ร้านเจ๊ไฝ) for the first time.

But really quickly, about the name....

In Thai, Jay (เจ๊) means a Chinese Aunty and Fai (ไฝ) means a mole, yes a mole. What I can tell you first about the restaurant is that the owner is absolutely awesome. She wears ski goggles and a snow cap while she’s cooking, and she cooks over huge fire charcoal, fanning the flame as she expertly cooks. She’s also quite a character, and she loves to chat - so while I was filming she shared all about herself, and how her method of cooking her legendary Thai crab omelet ensures that it doesn’t soak up very much oil. It’s indeed the most amazing omelet you might ever see in your life.

Crab omelet (ไข่เจียวปู) - You can either order the 800 THB or the 1000 THB crab omelet, I went with the 1000 THB. It’s huge, but only uses 2 eggs, but it’s packed with shell less crab nuggets. The omelet is cooked burrito style, and it’s massive. It’s a must order when you eat at Jay Fai (ร้านเจ๊ไฝ).

Drunken noodles (เส้นใหญ่ผัดขี้เมาทะเล) - Her version of Thai drunken noodles (pad kee mao sen ya) is the dish I would come back for over and over again. Again, it’s not cheap, but the quality of seafood and the seasoning that she uses is superb. The balance of flavor will blow your mind - it’s really the best plate of Thai drunken noodles I’ve had in Bangkok.

Tom yum goong (ต้มยำกุ้ง) - For our final dish we tried Jay Fai (ร้านเจ๊ไฝ) tom yum goong. Again, massive prawns and seafood were used, and she cooked it over charcoal. It was awesomely delicious, sour, and flavorful.

Conclusion:
Eating at Thai street food restaurants like this can be all about expectations. You have to go in knowing the prices are very high and you’re going to spend way more money than going to any other corner Thai street food restaurant. That being said, it’s a one-of-a-kind historical culinary legend of a restaurant in Bangkok. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience eat at Jay Fai (ร้านเจ๊ไฝ), and it was an honor to stand there and talk with Jay Fai (ร้านเจ๊ไฝ), and then eat her cooking.

Giant SHRIMP BUTTER TOM YUM!! ????️ Spicy Thai Food in Phatthalung, Thailand!

???? Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว):

PHATTHALUNG, THAILAND (พัทลุง) - Welcome to Phatthalung, located in Southern Thailand, it’s one of my favorite provinces in Thailand. The people are amazing, it’s so peaceful and quiet, and the food is spicy and powerful. Today we’re going to eat at a small family run restaurant, where they serve ultimate Southern Thai food and specialize in local seafood, especially freshwater shrimp. #ThaiFood #Phatthalung #tomyum

Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว) is in Phatthalung, near to Lake Songkhla. And something to note is that there’s not ocean front coastline in Phatthalung, but they do have lakefront. And so there is a different variety of seafood available than other parts of Southern Thailand.

From the look of Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว), I already knew it was going to be my kind of restaurant. The family was friendly and they took care and pride in their dishes. We ordered a mix of different dishes, including tom yum goong, and some Southern Thai curries.

It was a spectacular meal, one of the best meals that I’ve had in a long time in Southern Thailand. The tom yum goong was huge and so incredibly tasty. And their gaeng som, or southern Thai sour orange curry was one of the best versions I’ve ever had in my life.

Highly recommended. Don’t miss it when you’re in Phatthalung (พัทลุง), Thailand!

Total price - 2,005 THB ($66.76)

Thai Food - 1.5 YEARS WAITING LIST! (Hardest Reservations in Thailand)

????Ultimate Bangkok Late-Night Street Food:
????Follow P’Tan ( and P’Tape (

????Banana Chips available now!!
????T-shirts:

Ruen Jarung (เรือนจรุง) also known as the Ayutthaya Real Chillin' House, is the hardest to book restaurant in Thailand, and has one of the longest waiting lists of any restaurants. Last year when they opened up bookings, they sold out for an entire year in 8 seconds. I had heard a lot about it, and I wasn’t just interested in trying the food, but seeing the location and atmosphere and finding out just why Ruen Jarung (เรือนจรุง) is in such high demand for Thais. #ThaiFood #Thailand #Food

Thanks to my friend P’Tan ( for inviting me to eat at Ruen Jarung (เรือนจรุง) for lunch one day, and since P’Tan had eaten there a few times, he chose a menu of only his favorite Thai food dishes that they serve - only the best dishes.

Ruen Jarung (เรือนจรุง) serves home-style Thai food, dishes people remember from childhood. Most of the dishes are pretty common, but some are more creative, and presented on big communal plates and platters so they really stand out. I found most of the Thai dishes to be delicious, well flavored and very comforting. Not many of the dishes were really stand out, but they were all just solidly good. Another reason I think so many people love Ruen Jarung (เรือนจรุง) for the atmosphere, communal food, and having a chance to spend time with friends and family. Also, it’s the type of restaurant that brings back great memories.

Here are all the Thai dishes we ordered, that I had a chance to try:

Shrimp paste chili dip (น้ำพริกกะปิ)
Stink beans with shrimp (กุ้งผัดสะตอ)
Sour curry bamboo shoots (แกงส้มหน่อไม้)
Winged bean salad (ยำถั่วพลู)
Roasted river shrimp (กุ้งเผา)
Dried fried pork (หมูแดดเดียว)
Dried fried beef (เนื้อแดดเดียว)
Beef soup (ต้มแซ่บเนื้อ)
Fried squid (หมึกทอด)
Bengal currant dessert (มะม่วงหาวมะนาวโห่)
Snail curry, climbing wattle (แกงคั่วหอยขม)
Fried pork belly (หมูกรอบ)
Congee (ข้าวต้มเรือโป๊ะ)

There were actually even a few more dishes, that I didn’t even have a chance to try, we had 26 different dishes.

Overall, I thought the food was fantastic, especially since P’Tan chose the best of the Thai dishes that they make. The atmosphere was great, but really the best part of eating at Ruen Jarung (เรือนจรุง) was hanging out with friends.

Total price came to about 2,000 Thai Baht ($65.17) per person

Thank you again to P’Tan ( for the invitation.

$10.88 Seafood Buffet!! ALL YOU CAN EAT BBQ at Your Table!

HAT YAI, THAILAND - Along with fried chicken (watch the full tour here: Hat Yai is also famous for its massive all you can eat seafood buffets! And let me tell you they have perfected the art of the all you can eat experience. #HatYai #Thailand #ThaiFood #seafood

Rim Rua Kratha Ron Buffet (ริมรั้วกระทะร้อน) - There are probably a dozen or so massive seafood buffets around Hat Yai (หาดใหญ่), but I chose Rim Rua Kratha Ron Buffet (ริมรั้วกระทะร้อน), a nice leisure restaurant that’s gigantic. It’s a huge Thai family restaurant, and you can choose to sit outside in the yard, under the seafood area, or in the gymnasium sized meat area.

You have 2 options, the seafood buffet costs 339 THB (which is $10.88) for all you can eat crab, shellfish, fish, squid, shrimp, horseshoe crab salad and many more. And the 199 THB option (หมูกระทะ) which is lots of pork, meat, hot dogs, all the vegetables, some Thai food dishes, desserts, and more. If you choose the seafood option, you get both the seafood buffet section and the meat buffet section.

The best thing about this street food buffet is that you get to cook everything in front of you on your table - grilling and boiling seafood right in front of your face while you’re eating it. It’s a similar experience to buffets across Thailand, but Hat Yai has truly perfected the art of the all you can eat Thai seafood buffet.

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

AYUTTHAYA, THAILAND - One of the greatest delicacies in Thailand are giant freshwater river prawns - they are some of the biggest and tastiest in the world. Today we’re going to one of my favorite river prawn restaurants in Thailand and we’ll also eat at a few Thai food gems in Ayutthaya.

Baan Ta-Koh-Rai (บ้านตะโกราย) - - This restaurant in Ayutthaya was featured in the Michelin Guide and it’s a fantastic place to try local central Thai dishes that especially revolve around freshwater fish and shrimp. I tried the Cartilage Pork Ribs with Tree Basil (ผัดกระดูกอ่อนใบยี่หร่า) , Shrimp relish (แสร้งว่ากุ้ง), Fish choo chee curry (ฉู่ฉี่ปลาเนื้ออ่อน), Jungle curry fish balls (แกงป่าลูกชิ้นปลากราย)
Total price: 1,410 THB ($38.99)

Rimnam Restaurant (ร้านริมน้ำบางไทรอยุธยา) - - This is one of the best places to eat huge Thai river prawns (freshwater shrimp) in Ayutthaya. Don’t miss the Grilled prawns (กุ้งเผา), Prawn claws with lotus stems (ก้ามกุ้งผัดสายบัว), Crab relish (หลนปู), Choo chee fish curry (ปลาน้ำเงินฉู่ฉี่). Price - 1,500 THB ($41.77) per kg

Bangkok Street Food | Grilled Giant Tiger Prawns and Crab BBQ

This is definitely the best street food in Bangkok for giant tiger prawns lover! This food stall sells all kinds of seafood for BBQ including tiger prawns, fish, shells, crab and others. Subscribe if you love street food, street drinks, and any of our videos!

Tiger prawn hotpot. Street food. Bangkok.

Steamed prawns with vermicelli is a popular dish in many Asian cuisines, particularly Chinese and Southeast Asian. It is a light and healthy dish that combines the sweetness of prawns with the delicate flavor of vermicelli noodles.

To prepare this dish, the prawns are first cleaned and marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, ginger, and garlic for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the vermicelli noodles are soaked in water until they become soft.

Then, the prawns are placed on top of the vermicelli noodles in a heatproof dish or bamboo steamer. The dish is then steamed over high heat for about 10-15 minutes until the prawns turn pink and the vermicelli noodles become translucent.

The steaming process allows the prawns to retain their natural sweetness and flavors, while also keeping them tender and juicy. The vermicelli noodles absorb the delicious juices from the prawns, creating a flavorful and satisfying meal.

Some variations of this dish include adding vegetables like carrots, snow peas, and mushrooms to the steaming dish to make it more nutritious and colorful. Some people also prefer to sprinkle some chopped scallions or cilantro on top of the dish before serving.

Overall, steamed prawns with vermicelli is a simple yet delicious dish that is easy to prepare and perfect for a healthy and flavorful meal.

Popular Thai and Chinese style menus. The deliciousness of vermicelli comes from various fragrances. So many ingredients are put into the pot together with seasoning and then baked with prawn for about 10 minutes. Prawn should be put win with shell. Prawn shells also add aroma. This particular stall is found in Bangkok, Samyan area. #uncleroger Uncle Roger.
