PINOY FOOD TOUR!!! (Crocodile Lechon) in Davao City, Philippines

In this Pinoy Food Tour I dive into some of Davao's classic dishes. Dishes that include:

Balabcua: A savoury stew made from cows trotters and skin. the perfect hangover food

Deep fried Hito: Whole catfish, deep fried to perfection. Every piece of the fish is edible

Satti: a dish that originated in Zamboanga, Mindanao and quickly becomes one my favourites. Yong's Satti is the place to find it in Davao City

Lechon buwaya or lechon crocodile: You won't find this in abundance and only one is made every two weeks. I was lucky enough to take part in this for this food tour.

About This Episode:
In my ongoing quest to search out all of Asia's and the world's Boner Foods, I've arrived in the Philippines prepared to hunt down the mysterious Soup #5 in order to see if it's the real deal. Along the way, we fell for the oldest con in the book, The Penis Soup Scam. We paid a van driver 500 pesos contingent on him finding us Soup #5, but I never expected what would happen next.

About Sonny Side:
I’m not sponsored. I’m not rich. I’m just some guy who wanted to make the type of travel videos that I would want to see. This show is completely self-funded so thanks for patiently watching that five second advertisement (and read below how you can support this channel).

I am a video director by trade. Each time I travel to a new country I bring a cameraman with me, usually a friend, to shoot as many episodes as possible in a short amount of time (usually a week). The rest of the time I’m working as a video director/videographer in Vietnam and editing the crap out of these videos.

Much love and remember, Don't Think, Just Chew.

Ang Master ng Lechon Iloilo ( Vlog Para Sa mga foodie na mahilig sa masarap na Lechon )

Hello Road trip friends.

This Vlog is for foodies and Lechon lovers.

Meet my new friend. A hog farmer from Iloilo and a master in the Lechon Iloilo style.

Ang Sabi niya, the secret to a great tasting meat is to grow the pigs in a stress free healthy method. His pigs grow in the mountain countryside of Iloilo. Breathing cool fresh mountain air and drinking pure clean spring water. A healthy pig results in a tasty pork.

Let us hear Josh's story. The story of a master Lechonero of the Iloilo style of roasted pig.

Lechon: National Dish in Philippines | Filipino Birthday Celebration | Filipino Dish #Lechon

Lechon: National Dish in the Philippines
Lechon is a famous pork dish that begins with a suckling pig that is roasted over charcoal. It originated in Spain and spread throughout all the areas where had former colonial powers. The word lechon comes from the spanish word, lechón, which means suckling pig. Lechon is a favorite food in the Philippines, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Hawaii (where it is called a Kalua pig), and Spanish Latin American countries. It is the national dish of The Philippines and Puerto Rico. Cebu is considered to have the best Lechon on the Islands of The Philippines. It is delicious! It is unique! It is Lechon!
