Saudi Arabia’s $1 Trillion Transformation | 2030 Future MegaProjects and Proposals

Saudi Arabia is investing $1 trillion in infrastructure projects across the country. The majority of the megaprojects should be completed by 2030.

King Abdullah City:
With a total development area of 173 km² (66.8 sq mi), the city is located along the coast of the Red Sea, around 100 km north of Jeddah, the commercial hub of Saudi Arabia. The city is also approximately an hour and 20 minutes away from the city of Mecca, 3 hours from Medina by car and an hour away from all Middle Eastern capital cities by plane. The total cost of the city is around SR 207 billion, with the project being built by Emaar Properties. A Tadawul-listed company created from Emaar Properties, a Dubai-based public joint stock company and one of the world’s largest real estate companies, and SAGIA (Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority) which is the main facilitator of the project.[citation needed]

The city, along with another five economic cities, is a part of an ambitious 10x10 program to place Saudi Arabia among the world's top ten competitive investment destinations by the year 2010, planned by SAGIA. The first stage of the city is completed in 2010 and the whole city is planned to be fully completed by 2020. The city aims to diversify the nation's oil-based economy by bringing direct foreign and domestic investments. The city is also aspires to help create up to one million jobs. Upon completion, KAEC is said to be larger than Washington DC.

Riyadh Metro:
The Riyadh Metro is a rapid transit system under construction in the city of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. It will consist of six metro lines spanning a total length of 176 kilometers, with 85 stations. The project will cost $22.5 billion to build. It is scheduled for a light opening in 2019, and the full network is expected to be fully operational in 2021.

Jeddah Economic City:
Jeddah Economic City, is a 5,202,570 m2 (56,000,000 sq ft) project approved for construction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The project is designed by the Kingdom Holding Company, a firm owned by Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal. Jeddah Economic City will host both commercial and residential development including homes, hotels, and offices.

The centerpiece of the development will be Jeddah Tower, planned to be the tallest building in the world upon its completion. The entire project is estimated to cost $20 billion (SR75 billion). Jeddah Economic City is a three-phase project. Jeddah Tower will be built in phase one, infrastructure for the project will be created in phase two, the third phase will be the profits.

Al-Haram Mosque Expansion:
In 2008, the Saudi government under King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz announced an expansion of the mosque, involving the expropriation of land to the north and northwest of the mosque covering 300,000 square meters (3,200,000 sq ft). At that time, the mosque covered an area of 356,800 square meters (3,841,000 sq ft) including indoor and outdoor praying spaces. 40 billion riyals (US$10.6 billion) was allocated for the expansion project.

Jubail City Center:
The redevelopment of Jubail City Center will revitalize the city and bring 100,000 jobs. Upon completion, Jubail City will be the largest industrial city in the world, slightly larger than Shenzhen, China.

Taking off to the future

A short film that takes us on one of SAUDIA’s flights in 2030, where the current 2030 vision has become a reality and is narrated by the people of this country.

The film sheds light on the most important pillars of the vision including the economic and urban lifestyle in future cities, the advancement and nationalisation of the military industries, the sophistication of Hajj and Umrah services, the shift from dependence on oil revenues to the production and export of renewable energy, and the cultural invigoration that will competitively position the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the world.

The inspiration of the film comes from the interviews and quotes of HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and aims to conceptually visualize the kingdom according to HRH’s vision.

Saudi Vision 2030 Timeline

How far along is KSA towards Saudi Vision 2030? Here’s a timeline to keep track of the progress made since 2016. ????

Mexico Future Mega Projects (2018- 2030) That Will Change Latin America's Face Forever

Mexico Future Mega Projects (2018 - 2030) That Will Change Latin America - The New Super Power In Latin America ?

This is what we hear about Mexico in news : crimes, poverty drug trafficking and other horrible news.
Yes, in the past Mexico was a third world country and Americans dislike so much this country. Many think Mexicans are desperate to go to the U.S and that the country has nothing good to offer. You also heard that Trump wants to build a wall that will prevent Mexicans to enter into the United States or for Trump promising to break the Nafta deal , because Mexico abuses from U.S.

But here is the truth that many will be shocked to learn: Mexico is an emerging economy with a bright future.

The economy of Mexico is the 15th largest in the world in nominal terms and the 11th largest by purchasing power parity, according to the International Monetary Fund. The Mexican economy has had an unprecedented macroeconomic stability, which has reduced inflation and interest rates to record lows and has increased per capita income.

As an export-oriented economy, more than 90% of Mexican trade is under free trade agreements (FTAs) with more than 40 countries, including the European Union, Japan, Israel, and much of Central and South America. The most influential FTA is the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which came into effect in 1994, and was signed in 1992 by the governments of the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The electronics industry of Mexico has grown enormously within the last decade. Mexico has the sixth largest electronics industry in the world after China, United States, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. Mexico is the second largest exporter of electronics to the United States where it exported $71.4 billion worth of electronics in 2011.

The design and manufacture of flat panel plasma, LCD and LED televisions is the single largest sector of the Mexican electronics industry, representing 25% of Mexico's electronics export revenue.[ In 2009 Mexico surpassed South Korea and China as the largest manufacturer of televisions.

The automotive sector accounts for 17.6% of Mexico’s manufacturing sector. General Motors, Chrysler, Ford Motor Company, Nissan, Fiat, Renault, Honda, Toyota, and Volkswagen produce 2.8 million vehicles annually at 20 plants across the country, mostly in Puebla. Mexico manufactures more automobiles of any North American nation.

Future -

With an average age of 27 yearsfor the average Mexicans, the mexico could enjoy a bright future. Yes, they are still a lot of issues to be solved like drug trafficking, poverty in suburbs, corruption and an alarming crime rate. But the progress of the country is really visible.
Mexico has some outstanding future mega projects that will change its face and even the face of Latin American countries.
Mexico is evolving for the best.

Mexico future mega projects :
-Torre Mitikah
-Elite Residences Bora
-Torre Insignia
-Reforma Colon

2- Mexico New International Airport

3- Mexloop ( Mexico hyperloop)

4- Cancun Eco Platform

5- Mexico's Space Mission to the moon

6- Mexico's solar plants

7- The 2026 Fifa World Cup

8- Ambitious Political Programs

Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) s a Mexican politician who is the President-elect of Mexico until his inauguration as President on 1 December 2018. He has an incredible agenda for Mexico.

He voys to fight corruption and drug trafficking like never before, he has nationalist economic policy that would prioritize Mexico first. Amlo wants to reduce poverty by giving new opportunity to young to study at college and university and plans to invest more in poor suburbs. He wants to create a new special police at border to prevent migrants from poorer neighbors country to enter in Mexico.

He also promised to Trump that less Mexicans will enter in U.S thanks to his ambitious economic programs. Mexicans will stay home and will stop to cross the U.S border . For many he's controversed and for other he's a real hero who will change Mexico's future.

Another big problem for Mexico, is the unclear future of World's economy due to a possible trade war. Trump imposed new tariff of 25% on steel and 10 % on aluminium. Mexico answered with the same tariffs against Americans goods entering to Mexico. If a trade war was to start, Mexico will suffer a lot ,because it's a export oriented economy. A trade war will only causes losers and no winner. A real trade war can jeopardize Mexico's future. Other american countries and even the entire world's economy is at risk.

A trade war like in the 1930s will be dangerous for the entire world.

Qatar's $500BN Transformation | 2030 Future MegaProjects & FIFA World Cup

Qatar is investing over $300 billion in infrastructure megaprojects across the country before the 2022 FIFA World Cup. A few of the projects, however, will not be finished until after the World Cup due to troubles from the Qatari government at securing loans.
The megaprojects examined in this video are the following: Lusail City development including the Katara Hotel, the Amphibious 1000 Resort, the Silver Pearl Hotel, the Doha Metro, Hamad International Airport, and New Port Project.

Amphibious 1000 is a 500 million dollar project by Giancarlo Zema Design Group (GZDG) for the construction of a semi-submerged island in the protected area off the coast of Qatar. At the futuristic resort, you can stay at one of 80 Jelly-Fish floating suites. The suites can accommodate up to six people comfortably, with 5 floors connected by a spiral staircase. On the lower level, 3 meters below sea level, you can enjoy a submersed panoramic room, overlooking the sea.
The resort features 20-meter yachts, equipped with hydrogen engine sand underwater viewing globes. The lowest level, at 3.00meters (9.8 ft) below sea level, guests can enjoy their very own private aquarium lounge.

The Silver Pearl Hotel A deluxe hotel resembling two half moons on the horizon will be built a mile off the coast of Doha in Qatar at a cost of just over £1billion.
The Silver Pearl Hotel, designed by New York-based firm M. Castedo Architects, is set to have more than 1000 rooms and an adjoining expo center, has been scheduled for completion ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. But most stunning will be its stainless steel and glass exterior, which will reflect in the ocean to sparkle like a pearl at night.

Hamad International Airport's renovation involves the expansion of Hamad international airport passenger terminal located at Doha, Qatar. The project includes annual capacity from 24 million to 53 million passengers per year. Meinhardt is providing engineering design services for 3-storey terminal building expansion, concourse D&E, expansion of baggage handling, terminal metro station, substructure for future connection to satellite terminal, underground services tunnel, and utilities.

The Doha Metro is a rapid transit system currently under construction in Doha, Qatar's capital city, that is scheduled to become operational by the end of 2018. It will have four lines with an approximate overall length of 300 km and 100 stations. It will be an integral component of the larger Qatar Rail network, which will include a long-distance rail for passengers and freight, linking Qatar to the GCC, and the Lusail LRT. Capable of reaching 100km/h, the Doha Metro will be one of the fastest driverless trains in the world.
