Today we venture further North and further up into the highlands of SAPA. It is a very popular tourist destination for locals and foreigners alike because of the beautiful surroundings and as it's home to Vietnam's tallest mountain, MT. Fansipan (3100m).

SAPA, VIETNAM (2024) | 3-Day Hiking Overview in Sapa (+ Honest Review & Tips!)
Sapa is a charming mountain town located in northwestern Vietnam. It’s a popular trekking destination, with trails leading down the Muong Hoa valley and to the summit of Vietnam’s tallest peak (Mount Fansipan). We opted for a 3-day hike into the valley, offering a unique blend of stunning mountain landscapes, rich ethnic culture, and beautiful rice terraces. In this video, we share our entire hiking experience in Sapa so you know what to expect. We booked our trek with the Sapa Sisters, a company entirely owned and run by ethnic Hmong women. In this video, we spend 48 hours exploring the breathtaking resort town of Sapa, located in the northwestern region of Vietnam. This place is well-known for its cool weather and stunning landscapes, including Fansipan Mountain (the tallest point in Indochina).
We decided to take a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi to spend some time in the serene and misty mountains of Sapa. We stayed at the glamorous Hotel de la Coupole in the heart of Sapa Town, and we were blown away by the exceptional design of the hotel and the five-star service we received. It was by far the most elegant place we've stayed in Vietnam.
We had a few things planned for our romantic weekend getaway. We took the world's longest vertical cable car to the very top of Vietnam to explore the impressive Sunworld Fansipan Legend at the highest elevation in the country. We also explored the magical Cat Cat Village as we marveled at the serene waterfalls below the clouds in the Moung Hoa Valley. Though it was touristy, the village was one of the highlights of our trip, and we're glad we didn't skip visiting this beautiful place.

Epic Trek + Homestay In Sapa, Vietnam | What To Know BEFORE You Go
Sapa is one of the most beautiful regions of Vietnam that has rolling mountain rice terraces, waterfalls and lush valleys. It is also home to some very interesting ethnic minorities like the Hmong Tribe which originally came from China, but has settled in northern Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar. If you are looking for a culturally rich experience you can join a hiking trek lead by a local guide and stay in homestays along the way. I did the 3 day / 2 night option and had an absolutely incredible time. But having said that, it was significantly more difficult than I was expecting and there are some things you should know before you go and even decide if it's really the right trip for you to do. Sa Pa is a small, mountain town in Lao Cai Province. It is one of the best places to visit in Vietnam. It is located about 350km northwest of Hanoi, close to the Chinese border. Home to different ethnic tribal groups, Sa Pa is very well known for its rice patties and mountain treks. My friend and I spent 3 days at Topas Ecolodge. It was such an unique experience that I had to share this.

Sapa Vietnam: An Experience of a Lifetime
Sapa is a town in Northwestern Vietnam, near the border of China. Home to the country’s largest mountain – Mt. Fansipan, Sapa is characterized by panoramic views of terraced paddy fields cascading down the slopes of towering mountains.
Only 3kms from the center of Sapa town, lies my peaceful home for the next few days called The Mong Village Resort. The resort is inspired by one of the ethnic tribes called Mong and this is easily visible in the style of the construction that is a beautiful blend of traditional and contemporary style. Being away from the towncenter gives a chance to live upclose the quintessential panoramas of the valley. And the way the resort is build gives a feeling of staying in a quaint European village amidst the clouds while romancing the nature.
