KOH SAMUI, THAILAND (2023) | 10 Incredible Things To Do In & Around Koh Samui
Koh Samui is located in the southern Gulf of Thailand. It’s the largest island of the Samui Archipelago and the second-largest in the country. In this video, we’ll highlight 10 top things to do in Koh Samui.
10. Relax at the beaches
Our favorite beach in Koh Samui was Lamai, which is more relaxing than Chaweng but still has lots of tourist facilities and entertainment around.
9. Discover the Secret Buddha Garden (Tarnim Magic Garden)
Hidden high up in the hills in Koh Samui’s center, this garden is filled with unique statues and structures amid lush jungle surroundings.
8. Visit the Na Muang waterfalls
The Na Muang 1 waterfall is close to the parking lot and easily accessible on foot, while Na Muang 2 requires a short steep hike if you want to get closer to the falls.

7. See Koh Samui’s most mysterious rocks
At Lamai Beach, you can find two distinctive rock formations. Discovered by locals many years ago, these rocks were described as Grandpa (Hin Ta) and Grandma (Hin Yai).
6. Go island hopping to Koh Phangan or Koh Tao
Koh Phangan and Koh Tao are the sister islands of Koh Samui, and you can easily visit them on a boat tour. While Koh Tao is a great place for diving and snorkeling, Koh Phangan is home to pristine beaches and the famous Full Moon Party.

5. Eat and Shop at Bophut Fisherman's Village
Located at the north coast of Koh Samui, Bophut Fisherman’s Village is a beautiful walking street filled with cafés, boutique shops, and restaurants.
4. Watch a Muay Thai Boxing Match
Koh Samui offers Muay Thai boxing matches on almost every day of the week and the most popular place to watch them is the Samui International Muay Thai Stadium in Chaweng.
3. Explore the colorful temples
Some of the most beautiful temples include Wat Ratchathammaram in Lamai, Wat Plai Laem, and the Big Buddha Temple.
2. Go on a boat tour to Ang Thong Marine Park
A must-do day trip from Koh Samui is Ang Thong National Marine Park, an archipelago made of 42 small islands. It’s possible to do this by speedboat or larger boat tour.

Koh Samui is a stunning tropical island located in the Gulf of Thailand. It's known for its pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, and lush green forests. But with so many areas to choose from, it can be challenging to decide on the best place to stay.
First up, we have Chaweng. This area is perfect if you're looking for a bustling nightlife scene. Chaweng has a wide range of bars, clubs, and restaurants to choose from, and it's also home to the island's largest beach. You'll find everything from luxury resorts to budget-friendly accommodations.
Next, we have Lamai, which is located south of Chaweng. Lamai is known for its laid-back vibe and stunning beaches. It's a bit quieter than Chaweng but still has plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy. Lamai also has a great night market that's perfect for trying out local food and picking up souvenirs. Just down from Lamai is a beautiful secluded beach, Silver Beach. It doesn't offer a large range of accommodation options, but if you like a small quaint beach that in the evening feels like you have it to yourself - this may be the perfect place for you.
If you're looking for a more secluded area, then Bophut might be the perfect spot for you. This area is located on the northern coast of Koh Samui and is home to Fisherman's Village, a quaint town filled with boutique shops and restaurants. Bophut is perfect if you're looking for a quiet retreat, but still want to be close enough to the action.

ครั้งนี้พักที่โรงแรม Santiburi Samui ที่นอกจากจะสบายก็ยังรักษ์โลกอีกตังหาก ดี๊ดี

Koh Samui, 3 nights in Chaweng! Video Series- Vid #2! Darren & Randi Thai One On!
In this video, we share our next three days in Chaweng and the busyness! We walked up and down the streets of Chaweng and checked out some beaches. This was our first time to this part of the island and we chose to stay right in the midst of the busyness because we never have and we thought it would be nice to deal with our jet leg here and be walking distance to everything we need versus scootering to everything. We stayed at the Nora Chaweng hotel, which was nice but very loud from the bars so no sleep. The staff there were amazing and the breakfast was great too! After Chaweng, we went more south in between Chaweng and Lamai to stay at Samui Bayview to have a nice quiet place to get better sleeps and get our scooter!
Definitely recommend eating at Baan Ya Jai in Chewang, the food is authentic Thai and so good!

From Buddhas to beaches to bike breakdowns, we had a bit of everything in Koh Samui. It’s a great island to explore by bike and despite it being very touristy, I still feel you can get a good insight into the Thai culture.
