Tafaoga - Experience Our Beautiful Samoa - Episode 9

We start our tour at the Mataolealelo Pool where Seti tells us about Sina and the eel legend and later about the myth of Dwarf's Cave, a 1km long lava tube cave in the village of Paia. From there, we'll visit the Saleaula lava fields and later will take you for a canoe ride at the crystal clear fresh waters of Asaga reserve. City of Apia, Samoa - the beautiful Samoan buses in the city of Apia in Samoa. Let's travel to the island of Upolu, the main island of Samoa in the Pacific Ocean and let's view the Samoan buses of the main bus station of the capital city of Apia and to the main bus station in the island of Savaii. Here, we can admire the very unique, very colourful and very pretty buses of Samoa, each one painted in a completely different way and a choice of colours and designs.
Samoan buses are old, slow, colourful, bright, uncomfortable but a great way to meet the friendly locals and to experience the local Samoan life.
Catching a public bus in Samoa is done by waving one down as it approaches. All buses are named with their destination, but you may ask the driver if you are unsure. Generally there is a cord to pull when you’re nearing your destination. It’s not unheard of for buses to stop at supermarkets and wait while passengers do their shopping.
There are no bus stops in Samoa, but you can board a bus at their main terminals. In Apia, it is located behind the food market in Fugalei and opposite the flea market at Savalalo.

Samoa Perimeter Relay 2021
????????♀️???? Litres of sweat, 106km, 10 hours and 9 minutes squeezed into one minute and 30 seconds. It has been three days since this incredibly remarkable relay race happened here in Samoa on the island of Upolu and I am still full of emotion and admiration. ????????♀️????????
???? This was certainly one of the life time experience and I feel so blessed that I could be a part of it. Even though I did not run I put my heart into the spirit of our incredible team and would jump off the truck and slap myself on the road just to get the shot. (I do not recommend it, surely not in flip flops.) ????
????????♀️ I can't express in words how proud I am of our DELICIOUS GLUTES team for their achievement and the physical exhaustion they put into this to fundraise for the worthy cause. Our team as a part of the Apia Hash House Harriers ran this year again to support the only mental health service in Samoa the Goshen Trust. Finishing second, beating up all the men teams and holding the record of the youngest perimeter runner.
✨ Our FUNdraising efforts will continue for the next two weeks! Every penny counts towards fighting stigma, speaking up and raising awareness on #mentalhealth.
