Sailing across the Pacific on a million dollar sailboat (pt 1)

Pacific Crossing Part 1 - Hunting the wind

We start one of our biggest journeys yet, crossing the Pacific Ocean.
Ahead of departure we feel all sorts of emotions from excitement to nervousness.
The excitement levels are high as we are going to experience some incredible things along the passage and at the same time I sense a slight amount of nervousness amongst all of us. It is understandable as we will be on a 40 foot catamaran alone and far away from help.

In this video we depart from the Las Perlas Islands in Panama and head towards the Galápagos Islands. We show you what life is like onboard Mokara in the Pacific Ocean.

Adios Mexico, Setting Sail Across the Pacific Ocean | Episode 113

We learn how to sail a multi-million dollar sailboat! We have move aboard the Wolfhound and are learning the ropes, literally! This is the first time that we sail a 74 foot completely custom schooner sailboat and we set sail for Hawaii in just a few days.

The experience is priceless and once in a lifetime. We have provisioned and stocked up on everything we should need for the next few weeks and are ready to leave Mexico.

Come along as we start our voyage from the Sea of Cortez across the Pacific to Hawaii!

Day 1 Sailing Around The World! [Ep1]

It's a really odd feeling when you leave your dock knowing your boat will not return unless you sail all the way around the world to get there. It's a combination of very exciting and scary at the same time. It's also quite normal feeling, like we're just going for a day sail - but also quite a relief that after years of planning, the day of our departure has finally arrived.

In this episode we check in on everyone's feelings and expectations. A small group of friends and family see us off the dock and we have one of our best nights ever at anchor. It was truly beautiful that evening, which helped all of us soak in the excitement for what lies ahead. What a wonderful world - to see!

ABOUT US: We are a family of five sailing around the world on a performance catamaran named Archer and sharing our adventures in family-friendly episodes on YouTube!

OUR ROUTE: We departed the Boston/Cape Cod area of the United States and sailed down to the Caribbean and through the Panama Canal. We have dealt with massive repairs in the South Pacific, the Coronavirus lock down in New Zealand, a Category 5 Cyclone in Fiji, and now we are cruising in Australia.

OUR PAST: You may remember us as SV Honeymoon? Ten years ago (before kids), we sailed a Lagoon 380 named Honeymoon halfway around the world to Sydney, Australia. Along the way we shared our experiences via YouTube and, by happenstance, created one of the very first sailing channels. We also realized what an incredible experience we were having and that someday we wanted to do it again, only this time with kids.

FAQ: More questions? Check out our Frequently Asked Questions page on our website or answers to many of your questions in this 40 minute episode:

PLEASE COMMENT!: As a channel with kids on-board, we are required to actively monitor all comments, but we still want to hear from you. Tell us what you think!

Palma, Mallorca to West Palm Beach, FL, USA across the Atlantic over 12 days.

Sailing Pacific Crossing 1, Sailing Around the World, Ep 45A, Off the Starboard Hull

This video is about Sailing Pacific Crossing 1, Sailing Around the World, Ep 45A, Off the Starboard Hull Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran.
A Canadian Couple from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada left from Parksville July 21, 2016 to sail around the world in their Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran. See how they get along, who they meet and where they end up going. They have a 10 year estimated time line, but a very open agenda.

Ocean Crossing in 25 days on a sailing catamaran. Daily life of 2 people on an ocean passage Part 1

Sailing in 35 knots of wind and with very little wind, 5 meters of cross waves and beautiful ocean sunrises. 25 days of offshore ocean sailing and just the two of us on our sailing catamaran. Everyday life on an ocean passage. What is on our daily menu. How we make drinking water. How we use the different sailes. How we get weather forecasts. How we manage sleep and watch time.
Everything what you wanted to know about ocean crossing in a sailing boat.

Love, Peace and Ocean Breeze

A documentary portrait of Tomas and his nomadic lifestyle on his Karaka boat /1 dollar $ boat/.
We recorded this movie during a time when I've lived on a boat for a few days - the period of time when I first time arrived to French Polynesia (Tahiti) . I know that this short movie can be inspirative for many beautiful people - travelers, nomads all around the world, who love to live in different ways. Some of the benefits of being on a sailboat, of being a sailor, is that, well, you have incredible freedom, you can go anywhere you want on the oceans. Traveling is much easier for all kind of paperwork and things like that, you can explore islands and coasts that very few people get to go, and stay there as long as you want and be free as a bird, that's one of the big things.
You do remove yourself, somehow, from the rest of the world.
Follow sailing stories of Karaka journey:

-------------------------------------------------------------
I became in contact with Tomas for first time by platform: . It is a great travel - platform helping to connecting travellers all around the world.
