While the Pandemic of Covid-19 ravages the world and all yachts and people here in Fiji are in lockdown, a severe tropical cyclone is coming towards us, in Viti Levu island!
Filizi is inside a relatively safe cyclone pit in Vuda Marina but still the danger is great. This is our first and hopefully last experience of a severe tropical cyclone.

Sailing from Tahiti to Moorea | Episode 181

We are off the dock and ready to sail to another island in the Societies of French Polynesia. World famous Moorea. We welcome back our most frequent visitor and family member, Jacques, Erica's dad for some exploration on the most beautiful island. (at least in our opinion...see for yourself)

We sail to the stunning island for a few days, only scratching at the surface of what this beautiful island has to offer before Warren leaves Erica all alone on the boat to fly back to LA and sort out his Long Stay visa.

We both have been captivated by French Polynesia and work at making sure we get to call this place home for a while.

Join us on our sailing adventures throughout the Pacific Ocean!

Sailing to Tahiti and Moorea

In this video, we sail from Rangiroa Atoll to Tahiti. After anchoring and then getting a slip, we venture into the Tahitian island to do some exploring and hiking. Our adult children fly in and then we sail from Tahiti to Moorea for the Tahiti/Moorea Sailing Rendezvous and have a huge party with all of the other Pacific Puddle Jump sailors.

Sailing forbidden! Exploring Nuku Hiva by car - EP 131 Sailing Seatramp

We are still not allowed to sail around Nuku Hiva, so we decide to rent a car and discover the island. There is not so much to see, but we have great fun discovering the island together with 2 friends.

Kevins Yacht Service is a well known place for sailors who cross the Pacific as u normally can do your check in to French Polynesia with him, but during Covid-19 its only possible in Tahiti. Anyway, his lovely wife had birthday and they invited all crusiers in the bay for a beach BBQ

French Polynesia was one of the highlights of my ongoing trip around the world. The boat is a Jeanneau Sunkiss47. The video was filmed using the DJI Mavic Pro and a GoPro Hero4.
