Ho Chi Minh City Nightlife Area, Clubs and Bars - ???????? Vietnam [4K HDR] Walking Tour

Walking around the infamous Ho Chi Minh City Nightlife area in District 1. Click here ▶ to see highlights and guide.

(From Wiki):
Ho Chi Minh City also known by its former name of Saigon , is the most populous city in Vietnam with a population of 8.4 million as of 2017. Located in southeastern Vietnam, the metropolis surrounds the Saigon River and covers about 2,061 square kilometres (796 square miles). From 1955 to 1975, Saigon was the capital of the Republic of Vietnam, commonly known as South Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh City’s nightlife scene varies from one district to another, though venues that play live music close soon after midnight due to Vietnam’s rather strict laws. If you’re looking to party in style, District 1’s rooftop bars and swanky nightclubs stay open until 03:00 or later, offering excellent service, dance tunes, stylish ambience, well-dressed crowds, and panoramic views of the vibrant city.

See Vietnam's Biggest City Like Never Before - Ho Chi Minh City is Now Open!

Vietnam is now open for the first time in over 2 years. The most popular visas, either 3 months or in the case for Americans one year, as of yet are still not available. Most citizens however can now enter the country on a 30 day evisa available online. In this video, Ho Chi Minh City Ready For The World, I revisit the country's financial heart and largest city for the first time in 9 months. I walk through some of my favorite districts that have inspired me over the years. While areas that primarily cater to locals are as bustling as they ever have been it's evident that the last year in particular has been devastating to the tourist centers of the city. What were once vibrant places where foreigners from around the world could be seen walking, shopping, partying, and enjoying the continuous motion of the city have now settled into a comatose state. Many famous bars, restaurants, and hotels are now shuttered. Does this mean that Ho Chi Minh City or Saigon is somewhat less of an exciting destination it once was? On the contrary, this city is still one of the most exciting destinations in Southeast Asia if not the world. It may be awhile before some of the places frequented and familiar to regular visitors will make a comeback but there's plenty to see. In fact it's a perfect time if you're a long time visitor to break free from your comfort zone and get out to some new areas and explore. In my opinion that's what traveling is all about!

HCMC READY FOR THE WORLD EXCERPT

2021 AND 22 HAVE BEEN SOME OF THE MOST CHALLENGING YEAR’S IN RECENT TIMES IN HO CHI MINH CITY. WITH A PANDEMIC THAT JUST WHEN YOU THINK MIGHT BE ON IT’S LAST BREATH COMES BACK WITH EVEN MORE INTENSITY, AND FURTHER SETBACKS. IT’S BEEN 9 MONTHS SINCE I WAS LAST HERE. I’VE COME BACK TO EXPLORE, TO SEE WHAT’S BEEN SHUTTERED AND WHAT’S SURVIVED AND STILL THRIVING.

ONE THING THAT’S CLEAR, DESPITE THE TOLL THE PANDEMIC HAS RAGED ON THIS CITY THE DYNAMIC ATMOSPHERE AND THE DRIVING, PULSATING FORCE THAT SEDUCES MOST EVERYONE WHO VISITS HERE HAS NOT BEEN LOST.

I WANT TO SEE THE NEW, THE OLD, AND EVERY DISTRICT THAT’S LEFT IT’S MARK ON ME WITH CHERISHED MEMORIES THAT WILL LIVE ON AS LONG AS I’M AROUND.

FROM THE STREETS THAT ARE LITERALLY GIANT WHOLESALE MARKETS WITH THEIR BUSTLING ALLEYS TO EVERYTHING FROM FASHIONABLE NEIGHBORHOODS, CAFES, TO ANYTHING ELSE THIS CITY CAN THROW IN FRONT OF ME, I’M READY FOR IT.

THE NEVER ENDING EXPANSION OF CITY LIMITS AND SPACE IN THE SKY, THE NEW BUILDINGS. THE HISTORIC LANDMARKS, AND THE TROUBLED TOURIST SPOTS.

WHAT CAN I SAY, I’VE LEARNED ALOT HERE, AND I’M READY FOR MORE.
I’M JOHN SABOE AND THESE ARE MY FAR EAST TRAVELS.

IT’S THE CHRISTMAS NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY SEASON AND I’M BACK IN THE CITY I’VE SPENT THE MOST TIME IN THAN ANYWHERE ELSE IN VIETNAM FINDING MYSELF DRAWN TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE AREAS OF THE CITY, DISTRICT 5 AND ONE THE MOST INTERESTING ALLEYS IN SOUTHEAST ASIA, TONG DUY TAN OTHERWISE KNOWN AS HABERDASHERY ALLEY. FILLED WITH JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO SEW UP A SUIT, DRESS, OR COSTUME PLUS ALMOST ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF.
IT’S CLUTTERED, CLAUSTRAPHOBIC, MAYBE EVEN A LITTLE DANGEROUS, AND I LOVE IT.

JUST LIKE I LOVE AND FIND MYSELF ALWAYS DRAWN TO THE GIANT BINH TAY WHOLESALE MARKET JUST OVER IN DISTRICT 6. ALMOST ANYTIME OF THE DAY YOU’LL FIND BUYER’S HERE STACKING UP THEIR MOTORBIKES WITH ALMOST EVERYTHING FROM CLOTHING TO BOTTLED SAUCES, NUTS, DRIED SHRIMP, FOR THEIR SHOP OR RESTAURANT. THEY’RE NOT THE LEAST BIT PHASED BY A MENACING FOREIGNER PEAKING IN ON LIFE HERE, CURIOUS AND SOMETIMES CLUMSY.

TO THIS DAY I’M STILL SURPRISED EVEN IN A BIG CITY HOW PEOPLE HERE CAN BE SO WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY. IT’S AMAZING HOW YOUR MOOD CAN BE IMPACTED BY A FEW PEOPLE SMILING AND SAYING HELLO EVERY FEW MINUTES YOU SPEND WALKING AROUND HERE. ONE OF THE MANY REASONS WHY FOREIGNERS END UP STAYING LONGER THAN PLANNED.

We went back to one of our favourite countries in the world - Vietnam! Last year we traveled through North and Central Vietnam, but this time round we visited the South, Saigon aka Ho Chi Minh.

If you enjoy theater productions filled with culture, acrobatics and traditional live music then visiting the Saigon Opera House in Ho Chi Minh to watch the A O Show will be right up your alley.

You're not allowed to take photos or video the performance but we reached out to the team and were granted a special backstage sneak peak for our channel (with permission to film) before watching the full performance that night. Make sure you check when the sessions are beforehand. You can pick up your tickets from the Saigon Opera House rather than buy it online too.

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), the Largest City in Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly named Saigon is the largest city in Vietnam. The city center is situated on the banks of the Saigon River, 60 kilometers from the South China Sea and 1,760 kilometers south of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The metropolitan area is populated by more than 9,000,000 people, making it the most populous metropolitan area in Vietnam and the countries of the former French Indochina.

The city was once an important Khmer sea port prior to annexation by the Vietnamese in the 17th century. Conquered by France in 1859, the city was influenced by the French during their colonial occupation of Vietnam, and a number of classical Western-style buildings and French villas in the city reflect this.

Under the name Saigon, it was the capital of the independent state of South Vietnam from 1955-75. In 1976, Saigon merged with the surrounding province and was officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City, after the pre-eminent but by-then deceased North Vietnamese leader. However the old Saigon name is still used by both Vietnamese and foreigners, especially when referring to the most central part of the city to which most tourists flock.

Today, the city's core is still adorned with wide elegant boulevards and historic French colonial buildings. The most prominent structures in the city center are Reunification Palace, City Hall, the Municipal Theatre and Notre-Dame Cathedral. Some of the historic hotels are the Hotel Majestic, dating from the French colonial era, and the Rex and Caravelle hotels are former hangouts for American officers and war correspondents in the 1960s/70s. The city has various museums, such as the Ho Chi Minh City Museum or the Museum of Vietnamese History.

Saigon Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Tour 4K

This is a virtual travel tour around the Saigon area of Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. In December the weather in South Vietnam is warm but not terribly muggy. This is virtually how Saigon looks headed into 2020. If you are planning to visit Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam but not the capital. Welcome to Saigon Vietnam for the tour around the city.

SAIGON, Vietnam ???????? - 4K 60fps (UHD)

Ho Chi Minh City / Vietnam , commonly known as Saigon is the largest city of the country. Saigon was the former capital of the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam). Today Saigon has a population of around 9 million (2019).

We start our walk of HCMC in the District 1 where most tourists stay. The Bui Vien walking street is open for motor vehicles during the day. We walk most of Bui Vien which comes to live mostly during nighttime with clubs and bars.

As we exit north we head to the Huyen Si Church - Cho Dui Parish. As a mass is going on there we soon get to some sights eastwards.

We check out the Ben Thanh Market and are soon in downtown Saigon. We see the People's Committee Building with the statue of Ho Chi Minh in front and the Opera House nearby. Our round continues via the Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon which was under construction.

As the sunset is under way we head back to our starting point. We see the Independence Palace from a distance. Passing the Saigon Centre Shopping Mall we soon are back at Bui Vien, now with more lights on. After 100 minutes our walking tour finishes.

Bangkok กรุงเทพมหานคร (Thailand) vs Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) | Drone Footage 2020

Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, is a large city known for ornate shrines and vibrant street life. The boat-filled Chao Phraya River feeds its network of canals, flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district, home to opulent Grand Palace and its sacred Wat Phra Kaew Temple. Nearby is Wat Pho Temple with an enormous reclining Buddha and, on the opposite shore, Wat Arun Temple with its steep steps and Khmer-style spire.
Traditional teak buildings like the Jim Thompson House and M.R. Kukrit's House, both residences turned museums, contrast with the city’s skyline of modern high-rises. Shopping options range from the upscale mega-malls of the Ratchaprasong district to the thousands of tiny stalls at overflowing Chatuchak Weekend Market. The city’s renowned food scene spans traditional street-cart snacks – spicy, sour, sweet and salty – to upscale international restaurants. Bangkok is also known for its exuberant nightlife, with venues ranging from swanky rooftop lounges to basic backpacker bars and nightclubs of the notorious Patpong district.

Ho Chi Minh City (commonly known as Saigon) is a city in southern Vietnam famous for the pivotal role it played in the Vietnam War. It's also known for its French colonial landmarks, including Notre-Dame Cathedral, made entirely of materials imported from France, and the 19th-century Central Post Office. Food stalls line the city’s streets, especially around bustling Bến Thành Market.
The story of wartime Saigon is told at the War Remnants Museum, the tunnel network at Củ Chi and Independence Palace, where North Vietnamese tanks famously breached the gates in April 1975. The Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens are home to elephants, tigers and rare orchids. Native plants and animals may also be seen at the Cần Giờ Biosphere Reserve, a mangrove forest at the mouth of the Saigon River. The Jade Emperor Pagoda is filled with incense and carved figurines, and features elaborate statuary and a turtle pond.
