L'immensité saharienne ne peut laisser personne indifférent. L'homme ne s'incline que lorsqu'il rencontre ce qui le surpasse.... Et c'est bien ce qui lui arrive dans le Sahara.

Algerian Sahara Camel Trek
In January 2013 four of us trekked along the base of the Tassili plateau from Djanet to Essendilene canyon and back, covering about 200km in 2 weeks.
The music is by the late Djanet musician Othmane Bali - 'Kel Akalin' which I believe translates from Tamachek as 'Countryman' or 'People of [kel] the Country'. I came across it on the mostly great 'Desert Blues' double CD several years ago.
After the camels we also walked for a week with donkeys up on the better known plateau among the prehistoric rock art galleries. That's a slideshow for later.

Over the past few months of having a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition, I'd say we racked up a decent amount of gnarly footage that it was about time to throw together this video. Starring the crew with Taylor Fischer, Kanoa Nartatez. All footage was shot on the island of Oahu, ranging from the sickest and funnest spots here, including but in no specific order, Waimea Bay, China Walls, Dead Mans Cat Walk, Spitting Caves, High Dive, Haiku Stairs, Pu'u Manamana, La'ie Point, Maunawili Falls, Kapena Falls, Waimano Falls, Ehukai Pillboxes, Sandy Beach Park, Haleiwa Bridge, and other random spots!
All footage was shot using a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition, in 1080 resolution at 60 fps, mounts included the telescopic model from GoPole, and The Bobber. Or just a wrist wrap. Edited by yours truly.
