1/ Start your tour at the Abbesses metro station.
2/ Walk up the Rue des Abbesses and enjoy the charming and colorful street with its shops and cafés.
4/ Take a right turn onto the Rue Lepic, and follow it uphill to the Moulin Rouge cabaret, where you can take a quick photo.
5/ Continue walking uphill and turn left onto Rue des Trois Frères. Follow this road until you reach the famous Montmartre vineyard.
6/ Turn right onto Rue Saint Vincent and enjoy the stunning views of Paris as you make your way up the stairs.
7/ Continue climbing up the stairs and take in the beautiful surroundings as you make your way towards the Sacre Coeur Basilica.
8/ Once you reach the top of the stairs, turn left and walk along the perimeter of the basilica, taking in the breathtaking views of the city.
9/ After exploring the basilica, descend the stairs towards the Place du Tertre, the famous artist square.
10/ Stroll through the square and check out the various street artists and their work.
11/ Finally, end your tour by walking down Rue Norvins and enjoy the many quaint shops and boutiques.

Sacré-Cœur Basilica Paris - Climbing Up and Walk Tour | Explore France
Going up to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre can take a while but there are plenty of souvenir shops around just outside the Anvers Metro Line 2 station.
Once you've reached the top of the Sacré-Cœur, you will definitely enjoy the view overlooking the city of Paris while relaxing and chilling outside the Basilica.
Note: TAKING PICTURES, FILMING, OR CAPTURING VIDEOS INSIDE THE BASILICA IS NOT ALLOWED. Cameras are not allowed to be used while inside. The security officers are very strict with this policy. Please don't get caught sneaking to take a shot of what's inside the sacred place your devices might get confiscated if you persist.
Going down returning to Anvers or going up the hill, you have the option to use the inclined elevator if you don't like using the stairs, it costs the same as a Metro ticket or T+ ticket of 1.90€.

???? Ernest Hemingway said it best, Paris is a moveable feast, and if you're lucky enough to visit once you carry it with you for the rest of your life. The Sacré-Cœur is located in the heart of Montmartre and is built on the top of the highest hill in the city and it reaches 213 meters above sea level. But it is only the second-highest point in the city can you guess the first? Good guess! Since the tour of Montparnasse is 210 meters above sea level and the Eiffel tower is 325 that leaves Sacré-Cœur in second place. If it hadn't already occurred to you Sacré-Cœur means Sacred Heart in French and it's a direct reference to Jesus Christ and his divine love for all of humanity. One of the first things you'll notice when you enter the Sacré-Cœur is the immense mosaic that decorates the ceiling above the altar.
The same architect who was responsible for the rehabilitation of Notre Dame after the revolution was the same man who was responsible for this beauty. His name was Paul Abadie and in 1875 he won the competition held by the city of Paris to find the right man for the job. He took the gig, and he planted the seeds knowing full well he would never see the fruits. He died 40 years before construction was complete in 1914 which when you think about it in terms of all the other churches in this town it's like yesterday. A new church for an old town but just as beautiful and equally profound with all the bells and whistles and speaking of bells inside that bell tower is the largest bell in France. One of the coolest things about the church is its incomparable view of the left bank and all of the surrounding buildings.

What's Up Folks,
Here is a special video from our family trip to Paris France. This was our day 4 of 12 days. In this video we show you a full 4K walkthrough of the 2nd most visited Monument in Paris - Sacré-Cœur Basilica or The Sacred Heart of Paris. This building is on the Montmartre hill which provides you a breath taking view of Paris from above. In fact, you can only get a higher view from the Eiffel Tower.
The video starts with our family leaving the Airbnb unit we rented, to using the public metro (subway) station to get to Sacré-Cœur (Aka Sacre-Coeur). I am hoping it gives you an idea of what to expect when you travel to Paris. The Metro system is a very mainstream means for transport, you can easily get around the city without a car.
We did end up stopping mid way at a place for Candy. It was called the Pirates Candy. They had a large variety of candy which is good, but a little on pricey side. For budget choices, you can hit the convenience store and get a bag of Haribo candies for cheaper. Candy might actually be fresher because it would be sealed. Try not get the hard candy, might be due to age, kids ended up throwing it away.
When we get to the bottom of the hill. the full walk up is also shown. This is to give you a first person view of the walk. You will be able to gauge if this walk is okay for you or not. There is a paid option where you will be brought up by a cable car of some sort. So anyone of any age can enjoy this spot in Paris.
I do a walk through of the Church and tried to voice over some historic info. For the paintings and statues I tried to keep it to a minimum and let the art speak for itself. My wife thinks it is boring, but I really feel there is value in showing the art in pure raw form.
In the end we exit the Church. It is raining so I switch to my Insta360 X3 Sports Action camera to give you an interesting view on the way down. We end up grabbing some pastries and some amazing Pizza at the end of this tour. We didn't show the Pizza footage but we will in the future video!
Just an FYI, there is a Popeyes Chicken at the bottom of the hill. If you are are wanting some familiar North American food for some reason, you can go there. Sometimes kids can be picky and it is not a bad option if you need to feed them something familiar. Just a dad tip..
