Yes, they've had rough times in the past -- just like dozens of other countries in the region and around the world. But Sudan has moved on to be a VERY SAFE COUNTRY, with some of the friendliest people I've ever met.

Truthfully, I am a little bit shocked by how great of an experience I've had over the last 5 days in Sudan. I did not expect things to be this smooth and amazing, but they were, and now I'm spreading the message so you can understand the truth about this country.

The route from Wadi Half a to Khartoum is 1000 kilometers. On the way to Khartoum, I was amazed to see small villages of Sudan in the Sahara Desert, small restaurants, and the lifestyle of the people who live in small villages in the Sahara Desert.
