Welcome to Soneva Fushi, Maldives, one of the most incredible resort in the world. With slightly more than 70 ultra luxurious villas, Soneva Fushi offers the best of barefoot luxury. In 2022, it is definitely among the most notorious resorts in the Maldives, and so, mainly for its incredible villas, both beach and overwater. Located in Baa Atoll, a Unesco Biosphere Reserve, it also offers amazing snorkeling as you'll be able to discover in this video.
We had the chance to stay 4 nights in a 2 bedroom overwater villa which was just incredible and by far the most amazing water villa we ever stayed in. With just 857sqm, we had just enough room for the 2 of us (kidding, of course !).

- The insane villas
- The snorkeling
- The barefoot luxury
- The breakfast buffet
- The natural surroundings
- The quality of the massages
❌What can be improved at Soneva Fushi :
- The service in some restaurants
- The roads / bikes
- The gym (very disappointing for a resort that size)
Please note that the Spa was under construction during our visit so the Spa Tour you see in this video is not the actual one. It was just 2 beach villas allocated for the spa, hence the pretty small and dark room.
If you are looking for a great place to spend your honeymoon or some quality time with your family, you can't really go wrong choosing Soneva Fushi. Among the many resorts we visited in the Maldives, it really ranks among the best.

Soneva Fushi is known as one of the best resorts in the Maldives in 2022. We had the chance to stay 4 nights in an incredible 857sqm 2 bedroom overwater villa with pool and get to discover this huge island which counts a bit more than 70 villas.
Located in the very well-known Baa Atoll, a Unesco Biosphere Reserve, Soneva Fushi offers a unique environment with all the shades of blue you could dream of and some 5* snorkeling near Out of The blue.
If you're looking for a luxury vacations or a beautiful place to spend your honeymoon, Soneva Fushi Maldives is an excellent option.

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. This property is 6 minutes walk from the beach. Spacious luxury villas at Soneva Fushi are hidden among dense foliage on a private island, located within the Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It is a 30-minute seaplane transfer from Male International Airport.
At this eco friendly resort, all the villas and rooms are extraordinarily spacious and enjoy direct private access to the beach. Signature bathrooms are built within a large private garden setting with outdoor showers and separate bathtubs.
You can explore the island with complimentary bicycles. Intuitive service is provided by Mr./Ms. Friday butlers. Highlights include the open-air Cinema Paradiso, counting Saturn’s rings in the high-tech Observatory, the home-made chocolate and ice cream rooms, five hundred wines to choose from and six different restaurants.
