SOLOMON ISLANDS: Forgotten WW2 Japanese War memorial, Battle of Guadalcanal

Battle of Guadalcanal, Island of Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, Pacific Ocean - forgotten second world war (WW2) Japanese war memorial from the Battle of Guadalcanal also known as the Guadalcanal campaign. Let's travel to the island of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands and let's visit a forgotten (and very neglected) WW2 Japanese war memorial built to honor the dead soldiers during the Guadalcanal campaign in 1942 and 1943. This forgotten WW2 Japanese war memorial, from the battle of Guadalcanal, was difficult to find but it was well worth the effort!! Guadalcanal is the principal island in Guadalcanal Province of the nation of Solomon Islands in the south-western Pacific, northeast of Australia. During 1942–43 it was the scene of the Guadalcanal Campaign, and saw bitter fighting between Japanese and US troops; the Americans were ultimately victorious.
