BUSY Day Plane Spotting at MADEIRA AIRPORT - The 9th MOST DANGEROUS AIRPORT in the WORLD
Today's video is from my recent visit to the beautiful Portuguese island of Madeira, in the shape of a forty-four minute compilation of all the action seen on a busy Monday during the summer season, at the worlds' ninth most dangerous airport.
Madeira is famed for its difficult visual approach to runway 05 to avoid the high terrain located next to the airport. This high terrain presents many challenges such as wind shear and changing weather. During my visit, in about an hour the weather changed from sunny skies to a heavy downpour from nowhere. Departures also aren't exempt from the dangers of this airport, with them required to make a very early right turn after departure to avoid the terrain ahead.
I spent around 4 hours spotting at Funchal from this spot located parallel to the runway up a public path. In this video you can expect to see a multitude of Boeing 757's from TUI and Jet2, TAP A320 & A321 NEO's, and a Portuguese Air Force CASA C295MPA on a Medevac flight, to name just a few.

Just pass by the Madeira LPMA Airport on the afternoon of 18/08/2019 to check 3 landings. The wind was strong, but straight, so airplanes landing normally, despite some turbulence when passing by Santa Cruz Valley.

✈️ Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport is famous for one of the world’s most challenging approaches and landings.
Located right at the edge of the island just north of Funchal and all the planes basically slam on the brakes as soon as they land so they don't run off the runway into the ocean.
The airport’s runway is often buffeted by Atlantic winds, while its proximity to the mountains and ocean present yet more difficulties. Pilots scheduled to arrive here must undergo additional training, studying the approach in detail.

TUI BLUE LIVERY Boeing 737-800 with my new camera
This is my first video with my brand new camera, the Sony AX53, handheld, and just started to learn how to use it!
The plane is a Boeing 737-800 operated by TUI Fly hosting the TUI BLUE livery. The flight X32838 arrived from Dusseldorf and the flight X32839 departed to the same city.
Sorry for the not perfect footage, I promise to get used to the new camera in the following videos!
