It seems like once I left the city of Marrakech, Morocco became much more inhabitable. Hopefully this will help you avoid scammers in Marrakesh.

It's my first time in Morocco and also my first time to visit the Africa continent that's why this Morocco travel guide is quite long! hehe Booked a trip to Marrakech for Martin's birthday and I must say, it is one of the places you should definitely visit! Shopping in Marrakech souks is a no joke, you can easily get lost because there are no street signs but hey! I think getting lost is the best part. Here's a complete travel guide to Marrakech for first time travelers! The how to avoid scammers in Morocco, places that you can visit, what the famous shopping area jemaa el fnaa looks like in daylight and at night! We did a little shopping and boy, we sure had fun! We also triet different Riads in Marrakech and I highly recommend you to stay in a Riad than booking a hotel because it's the ULTIMATE MOROCCAN EXPERIENCE!

MARRAKECH, MOROCCO (2023) | 10 BEST Things To Do In & Around Marrakech
Marrakech is located in the center of Morocco. With its vibrant colors, buzzing atmosphere, mix of tradition and modernity, and aromatic smells, it’s a city like no other: Marrakech truly stimulates all your senses at once.
10. Explore the Marrakech medina (free walking tour)
The medina is the heart of the Marrakech, packed with shops, traditional houses called “riads”, restaurants, and many of the historic sites.

9. Try the traditional local food
Some staples you have to try include couscous, meat brochettes, and the most iconic dish of all: tagine.

The Saadian Tombs are a 16th century burial ground of the Saadian dynasty, which ruled over Marrakech between 1524 and 1668.
7. Find peace at the Majorelle Gardens
Located in Marrakech’s new town, these lush botanical gardens are filled with cacti, palms, and other colorful trees.
6. Stroll around Mellah Jewish Quarter
There are still a number of Jewish places here, including the Lazama Synagogue, the Miara Jewish Cemetery, and the Spice Market.
5. Get lost in the souks
What makes the souks in Marrakech remarkable is the wide variety of exotic items you can buy, such as babouches, lanterns, ceramics, carpets, and leather goods.

4. Check the ruins of El Badi Palace
The Saadian Ruler Al-Mansour who was buried in the Saadian Tombs built this grand palace in the 16th century.
3. See the beautiful Bahia Palace
After El Badi Palace, it might be interesting to see the contrast with the beautiful Bahia Palace, which was built in the late 19th century.
2. Go on a day tour to the Ouzoud Waterfalls
With a height of 110 meters or 360 feet, these are the tallest waterfalls in the country. A day tour from Marrakech includes a hike down to the river, do a short boat ride to get closer to the falls, and hike up again.

Always TROUBLE in Tangier - Scammers and Hustlers - Streets of MOROCCO
The streets of Tangier, Morocco, are wild and somewhat intimidating. Scammers and hustlers unfortunately make life as a tourist harder than it should be. But the city is also beautiful and with lots of cool and nice people who live their normal lives and appreciate the tourists who want to see this city. Best thing to avoid these hustlers and scammers is just to wear sunglasses, look tough, move on and keep conversation to a minimum. These hustlers and scammers play mind games on tourists and are master manipulators. The good people of Morocco need to deal with these guys. They should not be free to roam the streets like this.
