SAS Scandinavian Airlines A350 Business Class - Chicago to Copenhagen
SAS recently acquired the first of many Airbus A350-900 aircraft and seeing the opportunity, I jumped on for an Atlantic crossing in business class from Chicago O'hare to Copenhagen. It was a pleasantly surprising experience both in the seat and the service, with a well-designed seat/bed combo, and fun crew.

Scandinavian Airlines A330 Business Class offers an amazing Business Class cabin! The flight was originally supposed to be between Copenhagen (CPH) and Chicago (ORD).
Join me on this Trip Report with Scandinavian Arilines (SAS) A330 Business Class. This flight video also covers Copenhagen airport, also named Kastrup Airport. The flight between Denmark and USA was a difference experience. The seat and cabin was amazing. The food and IFE was also pretty good! But this turned out to be a long flight.
I started my experience at Terminal 3, at Copenhagen Kastrup International Airport. After check in I continued to the Scandinavian Airlines Gold Lounge where I had some Cava. No real Champagne is offered in the SAS lounge.
The SAS Business Class on board the A330 gives a lot of privacy and offers a great seat. During the flight I had tasty Charles Heidsieck Champagne.
SAS overall food and drinks sortiment is great!

This was probably one of the most emotional flights I’ve taken since it was my FIRST INAUGURAL FLIGHT.
I start with a visit to the recently upgraded SAS Gold Lounge at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport.
The lounge is quite big, with a whole new dining area, all-day barista, relaxation rooms, meeting rooms, phone booths, guest offices, and even a light room!
After snacking a bit at the Lounge, I went through passport control (YES, the lounge is BEFORE passport control, so if you have a tight connection make sure to check how many people are queuing for passport control, otherwise you might lose your flight!
The assigned gate was C37 and SAS was hosting a welcome reception and event at 14:00 at the gate. SAS sent an SMS message to all passengers the day before with the invitation to this event, so I wanted to cover it! There was food, drinks (refreshments and beer), and SAS and CPH executives gave a speech regarding the
Boarding was smooth. Occupancy was about 50%, so it was relatively quick. After takeoff the service was EXCELLENT. Welcome bags were waiting for us already at the seat. The crew was very friendly and kind. Seats were comfortable, with nice footrest and recline, big entertainment screen, and power outlets. The food was amazing (some people might consider it bland, but it was very well prepared!). Wifi onboard was on-trials so it took a while until the crew is available.

In this video, we'll explore the Copenhagen Airport, the Scandinavian Airlines A350 in Business Class and Economy, as well as all of the celebrations that accompanied the excitement surrounding the first day the Scandinavian Airlines A350 took to the skies.
