Our hotel was in imerovigli. We stayed in Santorini (Greece) for 6 nights from 4-10 june 2016.
We were visiting the skaros rock, oia, fira, old port, red beach, black beach and of course imerovigli.

Breathtaking and remarkable views of Santorini's most famous settlement of Oia (Ia), a small town overlooking from its steep cliffside, the sunken caldera of a supervolcano. The settlement is famous for the blue-domed Church of Panagia, its windmills in the northern part of the town and the ruins of a Byzantine Castle hanging off the cliffside.
The settlement is also known as: Pano Meria, Apano Maria (Απάνω Μεριά, Επάνω Μεριά).

Ѝа (на гръцки: Οία) е село на остров Санторини, на Цикладските острови, Гърция. Население около 763 жители (2001). До 2011 година Иа е център на самостоятелна община. На върха на стръмната скала къщичките са вградени в порьозната вулканична скала. Сред тях има много луксозни златарски магазини, невероятни кафенета и ресторанти. Силно впечатление правят църквите със сини куполи.
Das Dorf Ia (griechisch Οία); im Norden der griechischen Insel Thira hat 665 Einwohner, zusammen mit den umliegenden Siedlungen 1226 Einwohner. Die Bewohner werden noch heute als Apanomerites (Απανωμερίτες) bezeichnet, nach der früheren Bezeichnung Apano Meria (Απάνω Μεριά, auch Επάνω Μεριά) des Dorfes. Der aus der Antike überlieferte Ort Oia war einer von zwei Häfen Alt-Theras und lag beim heutigen Kamari im Südosten der Insel.
Η Οία είναι παραδοσιακός οικισμός της Σαντορίνης και αποτελεί έδρα της κοινότητας Οίας, όπως αυτή διαμορφώθηκε με το Σχέδιο Καποδίστριας. Ονομάζεται και Απάνω Μεριά ή Ανωμεριά και οι κάτοικοι Απανωμερίτες. Βρίσκεται στο βόρειο άκρο του νησιού, σε απόσταση 11 χιλιομέτρων βορειοδυτικά από τα Φηρά και σε υψόμετρο περίπου 121 μέτρων. Με βάση την απογραφή του 2001, ο οικισμός έχει 763 κατοίκους.
Oia ou Ía est une localité de Santorin, petit archipel grec relevant des Cyclades, en mer Égée. Elle est située à 11 km au nord-ouest de Fira, en surplomb de la caldeira, sur la côte constituant la pointe nord-ouest de l'île. Elle est reliée à ses deux ports par des escaliers.
Oia (Grieks: Οία) is een klein stadje en voormalige gemeente op het Griekse eiland Thera (Santorini), een van de Cycladen, in de bestuurlijke regio van de Zuid-Egeïsche Eilanden. Het is als zelfstandige bestuurlijke eenheid sinds 2011 opgegaan in de fusiegemeente Thira. De voormalige gemeente besloeg het hele eiland Thirasia en het uiterste noordwesten van het eiland Thera. Bij de census van 2001 bedroeg het inwoneraantal 3.376 en met een oppervlakte van 19,4 km² had Oia een bevolkingsdichtheid van 174 inwoners per vierkante kilometer.
Oia (in greco Οία, pronuncia: /'ia/) è una ex comunità della Grecia nella periferia dell'Egeo Meridionale (unità periferica di Santorini) con 3.376 abitanti secondo i dati del censimento 2001. È stata soppressa a seguito della riforma amministrativa, detta Programma Callicrate, in vigore dal gennaio 2011 ed è ora compreso nel comune di Santorini.

Fira and the Caldera in Santorini (Greece) - October 2016
The main town of the island of Santorini lies on the western cliffside, overlooking the Santorini Caldera's Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni volcanic islands. The settlement is home to dozens of churches, most notably the Orthodox Municipal Cathedral.

Santorini Sunsets in October, Greece, 2016
Santorini is more than 3,500 years old, and the traces of ancient civilizations now and again remind us of the rich past of the archipelago. But here you least want to think about time: when you are surrounded by volcanic landscapes, amazingly blue sea, beaches with colorful sand and postcard views of houses with white facades. Being here you should admire the sunsets, enjoy the moment, restore inner harmony. And hardly anyone will dispute the guesses of scientists: perhaps exactly Santorini was that once part of the lost Atlantis.
Most of tourists visit this wonderful island as part of a day trip from Crete, and cruise ships also stop here for a day: but one day is so little for Santorini! And what about its beautiful sunsets?! We stayed here for a week and had a great time.
