Douglas Station then under steam and a nice fast run at Port Soderick then arriving at Port soderick station, then departs then we go to Goorga woods for a fast pass under full steam and a slight incline makes this shot one of my favorites.
The ducks at Waterworks road hear the train coming as yet again unfull steam it make easy work of the incline..then running down hill into Santon Station then we see the train pass Santon Station non stop. Next wev see the train are at Ballasalla and depart, Then the train arrives at St Marys Port then departs. The next clips is the Pie and Mash late night train pass Castletown on its way to Prt Erin where the train departs and makes its way back to Douglas

Isle of Man Steam Railway No. 13 Kissack

Isle of Man Steam Railway
No. 13 Kissack
Built 1910 (Beyer, Peacock & Co. Works Number 5382)

Named after a company director, Kissack has been one of the mainstays of the Isle of Man Steam Railway's fleet since being built in 1910, until withdrawal in 1992. It had an extended period out of traffic from 1993 to 2006, when the locomotive returned to steam. The locomotive carries an attractive Holy Green livery and is seen operating on the Douglas to Castletown and Port Erin line during the Easter 'Rush Hour on the Railways' event in 2018 and summer 2021, on both passenger and dining trains.

1984 Isle of Man Railway

In June 1984 I visited the Isle of Man for their Vintage Transport week and during that most enjoyable week I took some cine film of 12 'Hutchinson' and 13 'Kissack in service at Port Soderick and Balasalla.

I apologise for the poor quality of the scans and for the lack of sound. I was only able to have a silent film scanner on loan for one week so it was all done in a rush :(
