P&O Britannia Transatlantic Cruise - Day 3 - St. Kitts - Cruise Port Walkabout
This was our third cruise port stop during our P&O Transatlantic Cruise in March 2022, stopping at St. Kitts. We really enjoyed our day here, and unusually for us, we did actually go on a local tour excursion. We don't really like being in enclosed mini buses with loads of other people, but this tour was in a nice open air bus, so we decided to go for it. It was with a lady called Veronica, who was quite persuasive in the port, but all very friendly and polite. We are really glad we did as she looked after us during the tour, and gave us beer and Rum Punch.... and really anyone who gives us beer and Rum Punch gets our vote :)
Also the prices in St. Kitts were some of the cheapest that we saw on any of the islands that we visited, so if you want to stock up on T Shirts and Caps, get them here ;)

What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. Freedom of The Seas | Day 3 St Kitts | Deluxe Catamaran
Freedom of the Seas stops in St Kitts for port day 2. The Ohana arrives and after a quick workout they head out for an open bar catamaran to take them snorkeling around the island.

Definitely worth the money, and an amazing experience.

St. Kitts - Catamaran Sail & Snorkel - What to do on Your Day in Port
We were on a 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas when we stopped in the port of Basseterre, St. Kitts. We purchased this shore excursion onboard for $119 US. The name of the tour was Catamaran Fan-Ta-Sea to Nevis. Nevis is the neighboring island to St. Kitts. They took us through the shopping area of the port to another dock to board the catamaran.
We sailed first to the southern tip of St. Kitts to snorkel around the rusted wreck of a small ship.The water was very clear but there wasn't a whole lot to see. There were some very large schools of very small fish. We re-boarded the Catamaran and sailed on to Nevis.
On Nevis they put out a lunch for us on the beach. We had about an hour to walk around or swim. We went down the beach a short distance to the Four Seasons Resort. The beach was OK. The sand there is grey because it is volcanic I think. There are a lot of shell on the beach.
We left Nevis and headed back to the ship. We laid on the netting above the ocean at the front of the catamaran for most of the tour. On the way back we both dozed off only to be awakened when the waves started to break over the bough.
This was one of our favorite tours ever. Many times on sailing tours, they don't use the sails. We went on one in Mykonos, Greece that didn't. When I asked the captain if he was going to hoist the sails he said maybe next time, Ha Ha Ha. Port Monkeys highly recommend this tour.
By the way, you could possibly purchase this tour privately onshore from Blue Water Safaris for less money.

OUR FIRST TIME IN ST. KITTS! GRAND TOUR | Harmony of the Seas Cruise Vlog
What's up AK Family! In this vlog, we are in St. Kitts for the first time! We want to say THANK YOU to Mr.Grey for having us on the Grand Tour of St. Kitts. He took great care of us during this excursion and we learned SO much! Truly one of the best tour guides we've ever had. The Grand Tour is $65 per person for 3-4 hours of sightseeing and 1-2 hours of optional beach time. This was all about sightseeing and history which was a nice change of pace for us, but if you're looking for something with more adventure they offer that too! Next time we visit we might climb the volcano :)

St Kitts is one of the most popular Caribbean islands to draw people seeking the sun.
This St Kitts Guide covers the port, and the town with a view from the church tower, the beach by taxi, the fortress, and a boat trip out to shipwreck bay.
The port has two jetties that can take four ships, and they also use the nearby container port and shuttle you in. That means it can be busy. The port area is colourful and charming, the people are amongst the nicest you will find in the Caribbean, and it is easy for your day to drift by without having gone anywhere. Busy! It can also be a tender port.
However, the town square and a walk to the church with the viewing tower should not be missed. However, please watch this video, and share it before you go as the climb is narrow and the rook unusual. If walking is not easy for you, there is the electric street train. We see the local fishermen cleaning their catch.
We have two trips to the beach, the first by taxi and we walk to Shipwreck Shack, and the other is a boat trip in the other direction to the very different Shipwreck Bay which has better sand.
