Join us for a day at St Maarten (Sint Maarten/ St Martin in the Caribbean Sea) as we stop on our Wonder of The Seas by Royal Caribbean cruise! St Maarten is a unique Caribbean Island which is Half French and Half Netherlands. We enjoy some breakfast before disembarking the ship and exploring the shops in the Port. We then take a private taxi tour with Movements Taxi Service around the Island including the French and Dutch sides.
We make a nice stop at Maho Beach which is near St Martin Princess Juliana Airport to see some of the famous plane landings right over our heads stood on the beach! We felt the full force and Jet Blasts as planes were landing and taking off right above us!
To round off a fantastic day exploring somewhere new, we had a lovely stop at a local beach which has breathtaking clear waters and was not overcrowded!

In today's video, I am going to give you a tour of Philipsburg St. Maarten cruise port and city. This Philpsburg cruise port and city tour can be used as a guide for what to do at the cruise port and things to do in walking distance of the cruise port in St. Maarten.
I haven't done to many port tours because usually it's my first time there and it's hard to make a cruise port video and city tour while I'm still discovering the place myself. However, I think I came up with a cruise port tour format that not only gives you useful information but allows me to explore and learn more about the area without having to worry about shooting a video explaining where I am in the moment.

Tour Of St. Martin (St. Maarten) / Exploring The Island On Your Own
We recently took a trip to St. Martin it was one of the stops on our Princess Cruise. This country is known for its beautiful unique beaches and has some great shopping areas. St. Martin or St. Maarten, is divided in half with one side being the Dutch side and the other side being the French side. If your cruise port is in Philipsburg, it is located on the Dutch side. We rented a Jeep for the day and toured both sides of the island. We want to give you a look at both St. Martin and St. Maarten to show you what there is to do here, some of our recommendations, and the overall vibe of the island and residents. WHAT AN AMAZING PORT!! Our First Time in St. Maarten - Harmony of the Seas
I love visitng a cruise port we have never been to before!! Today we are in St. Maarten for the first time! We did not make any plans, no excursions, so we just decided to hop off the ship, take the water taxi into town and go explore.
Let me say, this was such a better experience than we expected!! The water shuttle was a fun ride and the port was great! There was beach access with beautiful water... and a breathtaking view, lots of shops and restaurants... and bars. It is the perfect port to meader for the day and just enjoy the town!

Saint Martin (French: Saint-Martin; Dutch: Sint Maarten) is an island in the northeast Caribbean Sea, approximately 300 km (190 mi) east of Puerto Rico. The 87 square kilometres (34 sq mi) island is divided roughly 60:40 between the French Republic (53 square kilometres (20 sq mi)) and the Kingdom of the Netherlands (34 square kilometres (13 sq mi)), but the Dutch part is more populated than the French part. Harmony of the Seas - Day 4 - St. Martin / St. Maarten - Royal Caribbean Cruise Line
Join Zach & Collin in St. Martin / St. Maarten for Day 4 of their Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas 7-Night Eastern Caribbean & Perfect Day cruise from Port Canaveral! Zach & Collin toured the entire island of St. Martin beginning in Philpsburg. They then took a taxi over to Maho Beach to watch the airplanes take off and land. They also ate lunch at Sunset Beach. They then traveled to the French portion of St. Martin to explore Orient Beach and made their way back to the port. Back on Harmony of the Seas was meant for some pool time and relaxing before getting ready for evening activities. They saw a show at the Aquatheater and then went to the Royal Theater to see juggler and comedian Billy Prudhomme. Zach & Collin had dinner at Chops Grille before turning in for the evening.

St. Maarten is known as the friendly island. Today we are at the Philipsburg St. Maarten cruise port and will tell you everything you need to know about the port. We are going to review the port atmosphere, what is near by and how you can prepare for your day in St. Maarten.
Philipsburg St. Maarten has two docks. They are able to accommodate the largest ships at sea, like Royal Caribbean's Oasis class. If both piers are full it would get pretty busy at the cruise port. When stopped at St. Maarten we were the only cruise ship there and we were not at full capacity so it was not pretty quiet.
The name of the St. Maarten Philipsburg cruise port is Harbour Point Village. The atmosphere is really about shopping. There are lots of shops and a little market area. You have all your typical cruise port shops like Diamonds international. There were lots of souvenir shops that were locally owned and had a good variety of gifts. St. Maarten what to do is a question we got asked a lot. As the port area is mainly shopping we recommend heading into town if you are looking for a restaurant or beaches. The water taxi is only $7 which will get you into town and back.

ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE VLOG: Allure of the Seas Sint Maarten ATV Island Tour Maho Beach Orient Beach
We've never had this much fun on an excursion before! After several days at sea, we make our first stop in the Caribbean port of Philipsburg, the capital of Sint Maarten, on our first ever cruise with Royal Caribbean International Cruise Lines and we want you to join us virtually as we embark on a 7 Day Southern Caribbean cruise onboard Allure of the Seas, an Oasis Class ship. In this video, join us for an island tour of both the French and Dutch side of Sint Maarten & Saint Martin with Johnny's ATV & Scooter Rentals featuring stops at the world famous Maho Beach where we watch the planes and grab a drink at Sunset Beach Bar. Then we're off to the French capital of Marigot, Saint Martin where we shop at the local markets and grab a drink from the Coconut Man. On our final stop, we explore the beautiful Orient Bay Beach and have lunch at the all new Kontiki Beach Bar.

Sint Maarten/Saint Martin in November (2018) is Beautiful!: Our Last Royal Caribbean Oasis Port
So far, the Caribbean has been amazing (even though it's Fall). Saint Maarten/Saint Martin was beautiful! Although we didn't get to go to the originally-planned beach, the Great Bay Beach was still gorgeous and was lots of fun. Again, if you want to save some extra cash, you can head over to the beaches on your own, which is what we did once again.
Since this was our last port from our Royal Caribbean Cruise, we decided to just take it easy and just relax on the beach. If you like this video, don't forget to like and SUBSCRIBE!
