Visit Germany - The DON'Ts of Visiting Germany

Read the Blog on What Tourists Should Not Do When They Visit Germany:

Germany is an amazing country to visit & travel through, this video covers the things that tourists and travelers shouldn't do when they are visiting Germany.
Filmed in Munich, Germany

The Don'ts of Visiting Germany
1. Don't Assume German Are The Cold Stereotypes You Have Heard of Your Whole Life.
2. Don't Jaywalk, so follow the rules in Germany.
3. Don't Forget the Pfand or deposit that you may put down for beer mugs, bottles, cans and other things. You can get that money back.
4. Don't forget to bring flowers or a small gift when visiting a German's home. Also, don't wear your shoes inside their homes.
5. Don't be disrespectful at the Nazi concentration camps and memorials around the country.
6. Don't Wait: when at restaurants or bars order as soon as you can as waiters do not come through to check on tables as often as they do in other countries.
7. Don't Experiment on Driving on the Autobahn. It can be very dangerous for first time drivers.
8. Don't Expect to Shop on Sundays in Germany.
9. Don't forget to bring cash. Germans love to pay in cash and some places will only accept cash. So be ready.
10. Don't expect to see just half timbered houses in Germany. It is a thriving modern country with tons of amazing culture, architecture and technology.

We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here

Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

Come with me as we explore the best Christmas markets in BaWu, including:

My favorite little town in Germany - Tübingen. When I imagine fairy tales and my inner six year old dreams about the 'olden days' I can't imagine a more perfect example than this university town in Germany's Baden-Württemberg. Each year they host the biggest chocolate market in Europe - chocolART. They've got chocolate in every imaginable form - hot chocolate, spicy, chocolate covered fruit, chocolate mulled wine, chocolate EVERYTHING. I was also completely delighted by the light-up buildings at night.

The medieval market in Esslingen - think handmade wares, a feeling of being transported back in time, and on-theme games and eats.

The Königlicher Weihnachtsmarkt at Hohenzollern castle! Steaming hot punch, bubbles, and baubles - What’s not to love?

The amazing Christmas market at Ravennaschlucht in the Black Forest. This market takes place under a train bridge that changes all the colors of the rainbow!

Stuttgart's Christmas market, which is the biggest of the bunch with dazzling light displays, ice skating, and lots of handmade crafts and ornaments.

Heidelberg, Bad Wimpfen, and Ludwigsburg all make appearances too! These are the best and most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany. Check them out!

Rothenburg ob der Tauber | Germany | Bell Tower | Xmas Market | Burggarten | Walking Tour

Hello everybody!
It is late autumn in Germany, and it is a 2nd lockdown period. I could not travel anywhere since then so I am sharing with you my previous travel video in the most charming and romantic fairytale town in Germany, Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It is located in Nothern Bavaria which is popular for its medieval architecture. Half-timbered houses line the cobblestone lanes of its old town. The town walls include many preserved gate houses and towers, plus a covered walkway on top. The medieval Town Hall has a tower with panoramic views. Oh yes, do not pass over to follow us climbing up the narrow steps to get to the bell tower for a breathtaking view of this fairytale town. Street food at traditional market and beautiful Burggarten.

Important Note:
Please make sure you visit the correct Rothenburg because there are several Rothenburgs in Germany.

If you like my tour, please give a thumbs up and hit Subscribe if you have not done so.

Cheers

The Best of Rothenburg ob der Tauber

One of my favorite small towns in Europe is Rothenburg ob der Tauber. This magical town is lined with cobblestone streets and the old town is surrounded by an impressive medieval wall.

Join me as I walk the city walls, visit the Church of Saint James, taste some amazing German food, and sip on some local wine.

Rothenburg is on the itinerary for WTT's Tour of the German Christmas Markets. Join me this December for an amazing experience in Germany.

GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKETS – Wiesbaden & Rüdesheim - Best Places to Visit at Christmas

We visit the German Christmas markets in Wiesbaden and Rüdesheim.
Wiesbaden is a spa town with amazing hot springs in the street, and a lovely – and large! – German Christmas market. We then move onto Rüdesheim, with its sprawling Christmas market that takes over the whole town, including some lovely little alleys and areas off the main streets. We also travel to Niederwald on the Rüdesheim cable car, which is a great addition to our visit to Rüdesheim.
German Christmas markets are some of the best places to visit at Christmas and Germany has some of the best European Christmas markets! If you’re looking for some Christmas travel, these German Christmas markets vlogs will hopefully give you some ideas of where to travel to at Christmas. These German Christmas markets are all in the German Rhine Valley.
We travelled with Leger Holidays and stayed at the hotel Alte Bauernschänke in Assmannshausen, near Rüdesheim in the Rhine Valley.
