ROMANIA'S BEST CASTLE | FIRST STOP ON 10 DAY ROMANIAN ROAD TRIP (Peles Castle)
It's beginning! We load up big blue (our rental car) and begin our 10 day cross country road trip here in Romania! And our first stop is...Peles Castle! Peles Castle is definitely Romania's best, most luxurious castle in the country! This castle was incredibly different from most of the earlier, gothic castles and cathedrals we have been visiting throughout Europe. A must see stop in Romania for sure! It sits just outside the beautiful town of Sinaia where we grab a Romanian dinner then get to our final destination of Brasov!

5 Days in ROMANIA - Bucharest, Brasov, Bran, Sighișoara, Viscri & Sinaia || Full Travel Itinerary
Romania is a southeastern European country known for their capital Bucharest and also for Brasov & Sighisoara. It is the 12th largest country in Europe.
It’s a beautiful country and I had a really good experience visiting Romania. Almost everyone speaks English and it was very easy to communicate with them.
For travelling we had rented a car from Price Carz in Bucharest. We got a brand new rental car from them.
On our first day we visited city of Brasov where we saw many monuments about which I have mentioned in detail in the video.
On our second day we went to Bran which is a half an hour drive from Brasov and explore Bran Castle also known as Dracula Castle. Later on that day we went to an old village of Romania called VISCRI where we went to explore the VISCRI Fortified Church.
On our third day we went to Sighișoara and explored the town. It was a beautiful and colourful town. The people were really nice and kind to us. We had a good stay in an airbnb and enjoyed exploring specially the clock tower and the church on the hill.
On our fourth day we went to see the Peles Castle and Sinaia Monastery. We could not enter Peles Castle as it was closed for the day but it was the most beautiful looking castle I have ever seen atleast from outside.
On our fifth day we explored Bucharest where we went to the Palace of Parliament, Arcul De Triumpf, Romanian Athenaeum etc.

Incredible ROMANIAN Road Trip | Visiting Brasov, Rasnov, and the world’s largest bear sanctuary!
Welcome back to our Romanian road trip series! Today we are back on the road and visiting Brasov, Rasnov, and the world's largest bear sanctuary!
Our first stop of the day is at Libearty Bear Sanctuary, the world's largest bear sanctuary. The tour began with a heartbreaking short video explaining why this sanctuary was started and their future goals. Romania is home to 60 percent of Europe’s brown bear population and Libearty has rescued over 130 bears from an abusive life in small cages. Many of them were kept behind bars near restaurants, hotels, and gas stations as tourist attractions. Most of these bears are unable to return to the wilderness because they have spent their entire life in captivity. It was a sad and eye opening tour but definitely a place worth supporting!
We continued on to visit Rasnov Fortress. It is set high on the hilltop above the quaint town of Rasnov.The fortress has a great medieval feel and also offers a funicular ride to get up the very steep hill.
Since our Airbnb was located in Brasov, we decided to explore it at the end of the day after we had checked in. Brasov is an incredibly charming and historical city. We would say it is an excellent place to base yourself when you visit the Transylvanian region!

Roadtrip through Romania in a Campervan - What a beatiful country!
What a country Romania is! We drove our campervan through the country and saw all from wild bears in Transylvania, Dracula's Castle, Salina Turda Salt Mines, Mud Volcanoes, Dolphins in the Danube Delta to magical beaches along the Black Sea.
We we're really surprised over how friendly the Romanians were. Everyone was so welcoming and wanted our best, all the time. For example, our Air-Condition broke down in Cluj-Napoca and the owner of the auto-shop gave us his car for two days, visiting salina turda, and let us stay over night there aswell, before we got the car back working, 9pm on a saturday.
We drove the Transalpina from north to south and then back north via Transfagarasan, where we saw a total of 10 wild bears along the roads. Three of those was two small supercute cubs with their mama bear. The views from Transalpina and Transfagarasan is really stunning and as many times traveling with a campervan, the road is half the pleasure.
We also visited Castelul de Lut Valea Zanelor, Bran Castle (aka Dracula's Castle), Peles Castle, Brasov Castle and Mud Volcanoes before we drove to Tulcea to see the Danube Delta.
The wildlife in Danube Delta is spectacular. So many different birds living there in peace. We also drove the boat out to the Black Sea where we were lucky enough to spot some Dolphins playing around near the boat.
The last days we spent around the Black Sea. We drove from the north to the south hunting for lonely beaches who allowed to some nice camping along the beachside. Stayed at places like Corbu beach, Mamaia, Vama Veche.
To sum this up I have to say that Romania blew our expectations by far and is one of our favourite destinations in Europe at the moment! I would really recommend to go and see the country.
???????? THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ROAD IN THE WORLD (Transfagarasan Highway, Romania)
Top Gear were not wrong when they said this was the greatest driving road in the world!
Getting a chance to drive transfagarasan highway, or the most beautiful road in the world is a dream come true and it was (Almost) exactly as we expected!
After spending a couple of weeks exploring beautiful Romania we turned ourselves toward the biggest goal we had in this country, the Transfagarasan. This beautiful road took four years and 5000 tons of dynamite blasting through mountains to build. It is simply the greatest driving road in the world and really lives up to it's moniker!
If you ever find yourself anywhere close to this area of Europe, do yourself a favour, rent a car and drive this incredible driving road. You wont be disappointed. Just make sure you see the rest of Romania too. it's incredible!

Romania Road Trip Day 8 - Hiking Around Lacul Bâlea After Trouble Getting To Negoiu Trailhead
I wasted a couple of hours in the morning driving over rocks and through deep mud on the access road to the Negoiu Trailhead. Ultimately I gave up and turned the car around. Instead I drove back up the Transfăgărășan to Lake Bâlea. Frome there I climbed to the top of the ridge where I got a good look at Negoiu in the distance. I found out too late the Negoiu could be reached from the lake!
