Road Trip & Things to do in Lapland, Finland
In search for the best winter spots Kristin & I went on a road trip through Lapland in Finland and checked out all the things to do in Lapland and it was magical!

I know it took a while to finish editing this video as I had to struggle with the 4k video data I got from my new toy: the drone. I'm now able to shoot lovely aerial footage to give you an even broader picture of the destination.
Our trip to finnish Lapland started in Rovaniemi with the visit of the Santa Claus village where we said hi to Santa himself and had some fun tubing and drinking at the ice bar in Snowman World.
Snowmobiling was a great way to start our second day & I would say it's one of the must dos in Lapland for sure!
Next stop was the area of Ylläs where we spent most of our time: ice sculpturing, snowshoeing, skiing, dog sledding, a reindeer safari, sauna and northern light sightings made this trip to once in a lifetime winter experience!

Here in our final episode in Finland we have decided to head out and explore more of Rovaniemi to see the Huskies, go hunt for the northern lights and find some tasty food experience.

Our second and final vlog here starts off with us preparing for our Northern lights hunt, so we needed to fill our bellies with a warm meal - we headed to Lapland Restaurant Kotahovi to eat some Salmon Soup before heading out.
We unfortunately had no luck with seeing the Northern Lights, but to warm our dampened experience we went to play with some huskies and go on a huskies sleigh ride.
We then ended our time at Santa's Salmon hut.

We spend a week in the Winter Wonderland of Finland - Starting in Lapland, we visit the Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi, meet THE Father Christmas, experience a husky ride, and take an Ice Breaker Cruise in the Baltic Sea, walking on the ice and swimming in the freezing cold waters too. Then we drive further north into Lapland, deep in the Arctic Circle to stay in a glass igloo and log cabin trying to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights in the sky, following a reindeer ride.
Finally we finish in Helsinki, Finlands Capital and take a day trip to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia just across the water via Ferry.

Lapland in 5 minutes ❄ ✨ Winter Activities & Northern Lights in Finland
Lapland enchants with magical northern lights and fantastic winter activities. We travel to the northernmost part of Finland and visit the arctic region at -20 degrees in winter.
There are many extraordinary activities in Lapland: husky sledding, feeding reindeers, fat bikes, horseback riding in the snow and visiting Santa Claus in Santa Claus Village.
The starting point for your Lapland trip is Rovaniemi. Rovaniemi Airport is only 3km from the city center. Santa Claus Village is also located here. You can easily spend half a day to a whole day at Santa Claus Village. The village is on the Arctic Circle and Santa Claus is living here. All the Christmas wishes arrive here at the Santa Claus Post Office.
For winter activities, we recommend driving two hours further north of Lapland. In Pyhä and Luosto - two small ski areas - there are wonderful accommodations. We stayed in the wooden house with a glass igloo ( *). There are other accommodations below in the description of this video. There are husky safaris, driving snowmobile, horseback riding and fat bike tours. In northern Lapland, you are even more likely to see the Northern Lights.
