What are the most populated Equatorial Countries in the world?
An equatorial country is a country that sits on the equator, the equator is an imagery line that runs across our planet halfway between the North and South Pole at 0 degrees latitude.
The closer to the equator you are, generally the hotter your country is, there are other factors which may influence climate such as being high altitude or coastal, but it is fair to say that equatorial countries are hot, humid and wet.
There are 13 countries in total that sit on the equator, spanning across South America, Africa, Asia and Oceania.

Kasserine Pass WW2, Thelepte & Cillium: World War II, Archaeology & Insurgency in Tunisia's West
Today we head to Kasserine Governorate in the west of Tunisia to visit the location of the Battle of Kasserine Pass. Here, in February 1943, was the first major engagement between US and Axis troops in North Africa in World War II. Rommel's Afrika Korps killed over 3,000 American troops, leading to George S. Patton replacing Major General Lloyd Fredendall as Commanding General of the US II Corps. After seeing the war memorial, we head past Jebel Chambi National Park, then Thelepte Airbase, before arriving at the archaeological site of Thélepte. We end the day investigating the Ancient Roman remains of Cillium in Kasserine town itself, including the amazing Mausoleum of the Flavii.
SAFETY NOTE TO VIEWERS: There is an ongoing insurgency in Kasserine Governorate, concentrated in the mountainous regions around Jebel Chambi, Jebel Mghilla and Jebel Salloum (which are all very close to the town of Kasserine). I discuss this in the video. Be sure to check travel advisories before heading to this part of Tunisia, and take appropriate safety precautions.
