White Peacock Dance | Karanji Lake | Mysore
Karanji Lake was built by the King of Mysore about 100 years back, as a percolation tank. This lake is surrounded by nature park consisting of butterfly park and a walk through aviary. The aviary has birds like Peacocks, White Peacocks, Black Swans, White Pigeons, etc.
My this video shows my walk through inside the aviary and visual treat of enjoying the view of birds.
I saw White Peacock for the first time and was lucky to see even its dance.

Peacocks are some of the most beautiful creations of God. White peacocks are rare and they too are very beautiful. This video is taken in Karanji Lake . Karanji Lake is a lake located in the city of Mysore in the state of Karnataka, India. The lake is surrounded by a nature park consisting of a butterfly park and a walk-through aviary. This aviary is the biggest 'walk-through aviary' in India. It has a variety Of birds. It has several Indian peacocks,white peacocks,different kinds of pheasants, love birds, budgerigars, saurus crane,black swan etc. Here you can see them at close quarters. The peacocks often dance and display their beautiful feathers. The birds here steal the hearts of all the visitors. This place is very beautiful and well maintained.

White Peacock is just as lovely in beauty. Its feathers and appearance is nearly exactly the same as its colorful counterpart, except its feathers are white. The White Peacock fans out its white train to display its feathers, revealing a cloud of white magnificence. The all white color of a peacock is a trait of beauty among a species of beautiful birds. Indian Peacock
Peafowl are two Asiatic and one African species of flying bird in the genus Pavo of the pheasant family, Phasianidae, best known for the male's extravagant eye-spotted tail covert feathers, which it displays as part of courtship. The male is called a peacock, the female a peahen, and the offspring peachicks. The adult female peafowl is grey and/or brown. Peachicks can be between yellow and a tawny colour with darker brown patches or light tan and ivory, also referred to as dirty white. The term also embraces the Congo Peafowl, which is placed in a separate genus Afropavo.
In common with other members of the Galliformes, males possess metatarsal spurs or thorns used primarily during intraspecific fights.
White peacocks are not albinos; they have a genetic mutation that is known as Leucism, which causes the lack of pigments in the plumage. Albino animals and birds have a complete lack of color and red or pink eyes while White peafowl have blue eyes. The white color appears in other domestically bred peafowl but in different quantities. Chicks are born yellow and become white as they mature, according to the Peafowl Varieties Database. Indian peafowl of all colors, including white, have pink skin.

The peafowl include two Asiatic bird species and one African species of bird in the genera.
The term peacock is properly reserved for the male; the female is known as a 'peahen', and the immature offspring are sometimes called 'Peachicks'.
The Indian peacock has iridescent blue and green plumage.
The peacock tail, known as a train, consists not of tail quill feathers, but highly elongated upper tail coverts. These feathers are marked with eye spots, best seen when a peacock fans his tail.

White albino Peafowl seen in the wild in Rajasthan
A male Indian blue Peacock is seen sitting on the barren branches of a tree with its elegant wings. It moves its head with grace as it looks here and there. Meanwhile, a White albino peafowl is seen roaming in the wild forests of Rajasthan.
Simply majestic, dazzling, and unique. This type of peafowl offers white feathering throughout with elegant, lacy tail feathers. A regal addition to any property, a white peafowl will certainly be the topic of conversation. A male India Blue Peacock can mate with a White peahen. White peafowl is a color variety of the India Blue Peacock. They are considered leucistic, a condition that affects the birds' feathers and turns them pale or white. Leucism differs from albinism in that this variety of peafowl has blue tinted eyes and lacks normal pigmentation, rather than no pigmentation in the eyes or feathers. While it is believed that White Peafowl do occur naturally, they are not common in the wild. It is possible that there are White Peafowl living in the wild in the natural range of India Blue Peafowl - across India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Peafowl can live in a variety of habitats, including deciduous forests and cultivated lands. Peafowl faces no danger in their native range. Peafowl has been raised in captivity for centuries. Historical documents mention them in Egypt, Greece, and Rome during ancient times. They are kept in zoos, aviaries, and by individuals all over the world today. The breeding season varies depending on several factors but should fall somewhere between March and July in the United States.

Peacock at Karanji Lake, Mysore
Karanji Lake is small heaven with lots of trees and birds of different varieties. It is situated at the centre of the Royal City, Mysore in Karnataka State, India.

Indian Peacock is one of the most beautiful birds of the world.The male, or peacock, is predominantly blue with a fan-like crest of spatula-tipped wire-like feathers and is best known for the long train made up of elongated upper-tail covert feathers which bear colourful eyespots. The Indian peafowl lives mainly on the ground in open forest or on land under cultivation where they forage for berries, grains but also prey on snakes, lizards, and small rodents.
