Morocco's Most Underrated Tourist Destination- A Rabat City Travel Guide | Morocco's Capital City

Have you ever thought of visiting Morocco's most underrated tourist destination- Rabat Morocco? On a recent trip I stayed for two nights in Rabat the capital to explore the old city Medina in Rabat, the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Kasbah des Oudayas, Hassan Tower, and you can even visit the roman ruins of Chellah. There are so many things to do in Rabat, but there are also great day trips like visiting Sale Morocco an old pirate enclave across the river from the Kasbah walls. #rabatmorocco #moroccotravel #rabat #visitmorocco #travelguide #northafrica #travel #rabatcity

???????? Capital city of Morocco 2K | Rabat Downtown Drive (iPhone 14 pro)

Rabat was founded in the 12th century by the Almohads. The city grew at first but went into an extended period of decline following the collapse of the Almohads. In the 17th century, Rabat became a haven for Barbary pirates. When the French established a protectorate over Morocco in 1912 they made Rabat its administrative center. When Morocco achieved independence in 1955 Rabat became its capital.
