Qatar Airways Business Class Qsuite A350-1000
Qatar Airways Business Class has been described to me as being so good, you don’t need First Class. In fact, it’s been one of the most requested videos by subscribers to this channel.
In this video, we’ll highlight all it has to offer on a 12+ hour flight from Dulles to Doha. From the lounge in Washington, DC to the Qatar Airways Business Class Qsuite seat itself, the Qatar Airways Business Class food, the Oryx One Inflight Entertainment, and the Qatar Airways Business Class Service, you’ll see it all!
This flight is the first episode of our #NewlywedWorldTour! We’re two tremendous aviation enthusiasts, and, in order to celebrate our honeymoon, we strung together several ultimate aviation experiences into one African adventure that took us from the United States to Kenya, the Seychelles, and Egypt.

I recently flew with Qatar Airways from Dubai via Doha to Los Angeles. It was my first-time flying Qatar Airways in a long time. They just re-started their service to Dubai in January.
My first flight was onboard a Qatar Airways B787 Dreamliner, a short 50-minute hop from Dubai to Doha. We departed with foggy weather in Dubai and the Qatar Airways crew still managed to serve a meal on this short flight.
During my transit in Doha Hamad International Airport, I visited the Al Mourjan Business Class Lounge. I was given a tour and got to see what’s changed inside the lounge. I celebrated Chinese New Year in the Qatar Airways Lounge.
My next flight was onboard a Qatar Airways A350-1000 to Los Angeles. Flight time was over 15 hours flying over the North Pole (87 degrees in latitude). The flight is equipped with the award winning QSuite in Business Class. The entire flight was very light with less than 100 passengers onboard. I discovered the changes in both the QSuite Business Class and Economy Class products onboard. We flew past some great scenery en-route and it was amazing to look out of the window to appreciate nature from 40,000 ft.

Hello and welcome to Egypt, Again! Today I'll be flying with Qatar Airways from Cairo to Doha. Qatar first introduced Qsuite in 2017, its innovative features such as sliding privacy doors, on-demand dining, double beds, and the ability to convert middle seats into quad configurations, have redefined Business Class travel. It has constantly been ranked as the world's business class seat.
However, Qatar is also famous for its last-minute aircraft swaps, after changing my flight 4 times, I finally got the chance to experience this great product today! Let's go!

Flying the Largest Airbus Twin - A350-1000 Qatar Airways
This is a video containing some great details about flying on the Airbus A350-1000, with footage from the cockpit. I flew on Qatar Airways A350-1000 from Los Angeles to Doha. The flight time was nearly 15 hours, with a maximum take-off weight of 316,000 kgs. The pilots explained in detail about the A350 cockpit, pre-flight, take-off, landing and what they do during the flight. Watch the exciting 360 camera angles during take-off and landing.
The A350-1000 is the largest twin-engine aircraft that Airbus has made to date and it is a rival to the Boeing 777X. The list price of A350-1000 is $366 million.
I flew in the luxury Qatar Airways Q Suite. A few passengers with different backgrounds on the same flight shared their stories. One Qatar Airways cabin crew was surprised by the other crew, who celebrated her birthday onboard. I encountered nothing less than a great sense of humanity during my travel.

My journey started at LHR T4 in the amazing Qatar Airways Business Class lounge. This is probably the best business class lounge I have visited! It was not too busy and the lounge had a great offering from showers, drinks, a-la-carte dining as well as other dining options, wireless and wired charging for devices and, friendly and helpful staff! I don’t normally eat in the lounge too much but they seemed to have some good options and the staff were so welcoming that I couldn’t resist!
When it was time to board the aircraft, I arrived as the first passenger to board. Elina was at the door and helped me to my seat. She asked one of the crew to go through the seat features, safety and so on with me. Once seated, I received a cold towel, pyjamas and a welcome drink. I opted for their signature mint and lemon drink which was delicious.
As it was a night flight, the lights were dimmed for take-off and replaced with some beautiful mood-lighting! The aircraft has 2 external cameras giving you a better overall viewing experience.
The aircraft is WIFI enabled! Qatar Airways own loyalty programme is called The Privilege Club and just by joining this programme gives you 1 hour of free WIFI on-board! Alternatively, you can pre-purchase a pass for $8 prior to the flight or a pass on board for just $10! This is cheap!
There are 3 lavatories serving the 46 QSuites, so about 1 lavatory for every 15 QSuites. The lavatories are stocked with lotion, dental and shaving kits! They were always kept clean!
The IFE (Inflight Entertainment) screen measures in at 21.5 inches from its top left corner to its bottom right corner. The screen is crisp and clear as well as responsive! However, you can also pair your own device or use the hand held controller.
The safety video mentions that there are over 4,000 entertainment options available! Whilst I didn’t count them, I did notice that there were a decent number of movies and TV programmes to choose from. Disappointingly, there were no live streaming channels available but what I did like was that there were many episodes for each TV programme selected!
The headphones were comfortable and over-the-ear headphones. I prefer these as the buds always fall out! The quality was good and being noise-cancelling, they did a pretty good job in cancelling out the aircraft noise!
Qatar offers their Business and First Class passengers flexi-dining or as some call it, dine-on-demand. This means, you can choose the time you wish to eat! This is handy if you have just eaten a huge meal in the lounge! JK. But it is very useful as eating at certain times can help your body become used to the new daily meal pattern at your final destination (if there is a significant time difference) and this helps with limiting your jetlag!
The meal was excellent and I accompanies this with Laurent Perrier Rose Champagne! A premium champagne compared with their rival serving Moet or similar!
Qatar offers amenity boxes rather than amenity bags for flights flying into Doha. The box contains products by Distyque. The contents include, facial cream, body lotion, lip balm, fragrance, eye shades, ear plugs and socks!
On this flight they had also provided a protection kit containing hand sanitiser, gloves and face mask.
I found the bedding to be comfortable and I enjoyed a good rest.
The service overall was good but the cabin crew named Elina who originally greeted me on-board was also always checking up on me. Her attention to detail was immaculate and was so friendly and provided a superior level of service then most airline crew! As such, she helped lift the overall score for the overall service! I should add, I have always had excellent service on Qatar Airways business class flights!
If you haven’t tried QSuites, you really need to! You are really missing out! However, I must add, booking a QSuite over a standard business class seat will incur a small premium. The airline also reserves the right to change aircraft which may result in your seat being changed from a QSuite to a standard business class seat and the airline does not have to compensate you for this change. But what is positive is that Qatar are retro-fitting more of their aircrafts with QSuites and expanding the QSuite route.

What is it like to fly Qatar Airways QSuite Business Class? Come join me and let's fly to New York aboard Qatar's Airbus A350-1000 in comfort and style!
Starting October 28, 2018, Qatar Airways changed aircraft on one of their 2 Doha to New York flights from a Boeing 777-300ER to an Airbus A350-1000 outfitted with the new QSuite Business Class product and we were fortunate enough to try it out for the first time.
Although this wasn't our first QSuite flight, we were very excited as this was our first long haul flight with the product, and we totally loved it!
Business Class on Qatar's new Airbus A350-1000 is laid out in a 1-2-1 configuration. Some seats face forward, while others are rear facing. The center seats can be opened-up so that a family or friends of 4, can still see each other and converse during the flight.
I was seated in 5K, a rear facing window seat in the starboard side of the plane, while my companion was in 6H, a front facing window seat.
What I liked:
The seats were very comfortable. I was initially concerned that because of the sliding door, the QSuite might feel tight and claustrophobic, but this was not the case. The seat felt spacious and very private.
The service was topnotch and was done in typical Qatar Airways fashion. Meal trays are not used, and the plates are placed directly on the white linen. Qatar Airways offers a dine-on-demand concept in business class, where you can order anything from the menu at any time during the flight. The flight attendants were a little uninterested, but charming and efficient nonetheless. They were proactive and constantly checked if passengers needed anything during the flight.
The food was also delicious. My first meal was breakfast, which was nice and filling. Then I ordered from the snack menu, mid-flight. I was really eye-ing the afternoon tea set, so I had it for the pre-landing meal, and it was delicious!
Onboard amenities were also excellent. The crew offered turndown service, and mattress pads were placed on the seat when you're ready to wind down and get some sleep. The lavatories were stocked with toothbrushes, shaving kits, and bottles of moisturizers and facial mist. They were also regularly cleaned by the crew.
It was OK:
The Al Mourjan business class lounge at the Hamad International airport is one of the best lounges in the world, in my opinion. The lounge is huge, very airy with high ceilings and plenty of seating to relax. Well, it seems that more and more people are loving the lounge so much that it's almost impossible to get a shower room nowadays unless you have a long layover. The shower queue is usually 6-8 people deep and that could take a long time.
The Bric's hard case amenity kit is OK, but I actually prefer the old Giorgio Armani soft pouches from before. The White Company Pajamas/slippers provided was also a nice touch, but their old business class pajamas and slippers were of better quality in my opinion.
What I didn't like:
I'm really nitpicking here because it's really hard to fault Qatar for any of their premium services, but one thing that comes to mind is how Qatar handles the required secondary security screening for US-bound flights. The process is fairly chaotic. Carry-ons have to be re-screened, and electronics larger than a smartphone have to come out, and passengers have to go through another metal detector before reaching the boarding area. The boarding process could also be improved, but overall these are minute issues.
Bottom Line:
Qatar Airways has really revolutionized the business class product with the introduction of the QSuite. The seats, service, amenities, and food rivals even some of the best First Class products available. I would give this flight a 9.8 out of 10. The product really is #firstinbusiness

This time we’re making the very most out of it on an ultra long haul to San Francisco from Doha.
That’s over 16 hours that one will spend in this marvel of engineering.
In order to make it the ultimate QR experience I’ll also enjoy the Al Safwa First Class lounge, as I arrived to Doha on a First Class ticket.
I sincerely hope that Qatar Airways brings back more A350’s into the fleet as it’s by far the most comfortable experience and superior product on this airline.

This is the review of the year, the absolute highlight of 2019, a 12 hours journey on board the world’s best business class on the world’s best airline. I booked this Qatar airways flight as a roundtrip from JFK to Bangkok during a 2600 USD promotional fare. Both of the sectors between New York and Doha are operated by Airbus A350-1000 featuring Qsuite. I booked the morning departure from JFK in order to have adequate lighting for filming. The flight itself is beyond what word can describe. With incredible crew, outstanding food and beverage, and near-perfect hard product, the 12 hours I had onboard Qatar Airways resemble one of the best flights I have ever experienced.
