COOK ISLANDS: Iconic farmers market ????????️ in RAROTONGA (Punanga Nui Market)

Island of Rarotonga, Cook Islands, Pacific Ocean - the Farmers Market (Punanga Nui Market) in Rarotonga island. Let's go to the island of Rarotonga in the beautiful Cook Islands in the Pacific Ocean and let's visit the spectacular Farmers Market (also known as the Punanga Nui Market) which takes place only on Saturdays.
Punanga Nui is the original, most vibrant market in Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, specialising in local produce, fine fare and socialising with the community.
The island of Rarotonga is the largest of the Cook Islands, a nation of 15 islands in the central South Pacific. Volcanic peaks, ridges and rainforest dominate the interior of the island of Rarotonga. A 32km, round-the-island road links the beaches, coastal lagoon and reefs that make scuba diving and snorkeling popular. The Cross-Island Track is a rugged hiking trail that passes 650m Te Rua Manga peak, or The Needle.

Night Market at Punanga Nui, Rarotonga

- The local business investment authority (BTIB) in the Cook Islands has recently been promoting a 'Go Local' campaign and as part of that they organised a night market to encourage everyone - residents and tourists - to buy local food and products. The market was a huge success; there must have been thousands of people there to enjoy the food and entertainment. BTIB are talking about making it an annual event but it could easily be much more frequet than that.

Visit this market for some variety in your dinning experience. If the locals go there - you know it's going to be good.
