Puerto Plata & Region Explore its Attractions City Tour and Beaches
In this Documentary, I take you along for an adventurous journey around both Puerto Plata City, as well as checking out outlying beach towns. This trip is partly done by GoPro in the streets and by air with drone while visiting and interviewing various expats and tourists along the way.
The quick visits or drone sights include the Malecon with its beach bars / restaurants, the sculpture of Neptune, malls of Jumbo and La Sirena (Supermarkets), the new Amphitheater, Fortaleza San Felipe (fortress), the statue of General Gregorio Luperon, the light tower, the Teleferico (cable car) and Mt. Isabel, Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club, Ocean World Adventure Park and Marina, Fun City Go Kart park, Sosua bay with Playa Alicia and Sosua beach, Encuentro, Kite Beach, and Cabarete beach.
I also interview some locals and some YouTube fans, and I finish off by displaying a variety of clips from what I do and discover down here. Enjoy! Brgds Mr.T

In this video we go around the city of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic and explore all the top things to do and places to go! This video is a great tourist guide for those who are interested in visiting Puerto Plata. We first ride the Teleferico which is a mountain cable car all the way up to El Parque Nacional de Isabel Torres and then explore the park which is at the peak of the mountain. After that we make our way to Downtown Puerto Plata starting with Parque central Independencia and then moving to Umbrella street and pink street! We then take a nice ride down the malecon and end the day with a beachside dinner at La Carihuela! We're excited for you to check it out!

???????? Discovering the Heart of Puerto Plata: A Walking Tour of the City Center
Puerto Plata, located in the Dominican Republic, is a destination that is rich in history and natural beauty. Often referred to as the birthplace of tourism in the country, it offers a wide range of attractions that are sure to please any traveler. From its stunning beaches to its lush valleys, the area boasts a diverse landscape that includes the sea, mountains, rivers, and an abundance of beaches. The region is also known for its fertile soil which produces cacao and coffee trees, as well as being home to some of the world's clearest amber.
Christopher Columbus himself recognized the potential of this northern Atlantic coastline when he first laid eyes on it in 1492. The explorer was so taken by the sight of clouds shimmering over Mount Isabel de Torres and illuminating Puerto Plata's vast blue shoreline, he named the area the “Silver Port” and decided to settle at La Isabela with a mixed community of Tainos (original inhabitants of the area) and Spaniards. He also built the first church and his first home in the Americas. Visitors to the area can now follow in Columbus's footsteps and tour the archaeological ruins which are now part of a national park.
