Our First Impressions of Beautiful Turks and Caicos ???? Providenciales + Britain's Caribbean Paradise
Welcome to Turks and Caicos Islands! In this video we're visiting Turks and Caicos for the first time and giving you our very first impressions! If you're wondering what to expect while visiting Turks and Caicos this video is for you.
We're in Providenciales (Provo) and exploring the island for the first time.
We start off by visiting Grace Bay Beach for the first time. This beach is often rated as one of the best beaches in the world and now we can see why. The sand is perfectly white and the water is calm and crystal clear.
While at the beach we talk about things that surprised us, one is driving on the left hand side of the road in the right side of the car.
Also, bring your USD with you, we had a difficult time finding an ATM that worked.
After the beach we headed to Bay Bistro for Sunday brunch where we had Bloody Caesar's and egg's Benedict.
After brunch we walked up the beach to find somewhere with beach chairs. We ended up at Ama Beach Equipment Rentals where we paid $40 for chairs and an umbrella.
Lastly, later in the evening we went to Turtle Bay Marina to a restaurant called Sharkbite to have a happy hour beer.

We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.
We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.
We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

We're in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos and talking about costs. The Turks and Caicos islands are very expensive. It would be difficult to come here on a very strict budget so in this video we're talking about how expensive are the Turks and Caicos islands.
We start off talking about accommodations and take you on a tour of our AirBNB rental which happened to be very affordable for the island. It was in the Turtle Cove area and included access to a pool.

Later we head out in our rental car to Turks Kebab for lunch and later to Grace Bay Beach.
Throughout the course of the video we discuss the costs of rental cars, taxis, restaurants and drinks (including happy hour, beer, wine and cocktails).
We also discuss the costs of beach chair rentals and groceries.
Be prepared to spend some money if you're coming to Turks and Caicos!

Turks and Caicos is an archipelago of 40 low-lying coral islands in the Atlantic Ocean, a British Overseas Territory southeast of the Bahamas. The gateway island of Providenciales, known as Provo, is home to expansive Grace Bay Beach, with luxury resorts, shops and restaurants. Scuba-diving sites include a 14-mile barrier reef on Provo’s north shore and a dramatic 2,134m underwater wall off Grand Turk island.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos - Part II
Season 2! Gay Canadian partners Shawn and Kevin of Travel by Numbers head to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos on Westjet to visit Grace Bay - the #1 beach in the world. Turquoise blue and crystal clear waters await as we land on Provo, the largest of 42 islands in the Turks and Caicos chain.
In this episode, we take you shopping at Salt Mills outdoor shopping complex. It, and Regency Village across the street, is loaded with duty free and jewelry shops, clothing shops, artisans selling their creations, a 50's diner called Big Al's, dive shops, a pro cycle shop, the famous Potcake Dog Rescue and Provo's best gym chain - Wrightfully Fit. You'll also find places to organize adventure trips on and around the islands.
After an always delicious lunch at Hemmingway's, overlooking the beach, we discuss food options on this high-end island, including some of the best and most expensive restaurants, the best place to get Grouper and of course the world famous Da Conch Shack - a must-do in Providenciales. We finish off at Sweet T's, a place the locals go to get very inexpensive fried chicken.

Turks and Caicos Food Tour! We're still in Providenciales Turks and Caicos and this week we're eating all the food. We're exploring Provo for you and finding the best places and dishes to eat while you're in Turks and Caicos.
We start off at a place called Coco Van which is a restaurant out of an airstream and right in the main part of Grace Bay. Here we try fried mac and cheese balls as well as a mahi (fish) taco and a peking duck taco.
Our second stop is great if you're looking for something in Providenciales that is more affordable. This fried chicken takeout is called Sweet T's. We ordered the $5 combo which came with three pieces of chicken, fries and a drink.
Our third stop was nearby Sweet T's. Turks Head Brewery is the main beer provider for the islands but is also a craft brewery. We visited their headquarters to get a beer flight and try a few of their many beer options.
Our very last stop was one of the most popular places on Providenciales, Da Conch Shack. While here we of course tried the conch fritters and also the PeppaJoy chicken tacos.

It was a great time as we got to try some of the #localcuisine and # experience the #islandlife.

We'll take you kayaking in Chalk Sound, an in-land lagoon with 265 islands and very shallow waters perfect for stand up paddle-boarding or kayaking. Watercraft rentals are available at Neptune Resorts on the south-east end of the lagoon, and they also have a pool and bar at your disposal if you make dinner reservations at their restaurant named Las Brisas.
