SONGKHLA, THAILAND (สงขลา) - Welcome to Songkhla, a province, and city in southern Thailand. It’s one of my favorite places in Thailand, with a fantastic mix of people, history, and delicious food. Today we’re going to eat at a legendary Thai rice and curry restaurant called Nong Yao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารนงเยาว์ (ป่าไม้ เจ้าเก่า). They serve many unique Thai dishes that are rarely available elsewhere.

The restaurant is so laid back and very locally popular. Aunty has been cooking for around 50 years, and her cooking skills are insane. She tosses ingredients in, sloshes things around, all within an ancient kitchen.

Along with you variety of Southern Thai rice and curry, you have to try something that you have to eat in Songkhla is called kai krob, which are salted egg yolks and two are stuck together - they sort of look like a butt!

This place serves amazing food, highly recommended when you visit Songkhla, Thailand.

????️ Khrua Luang Then ร้าน ครัวหลวงเทน:

Khrua Luang Then (ร้าน ครัวหลวงเทน) - During my trip to Southern Thailand, and specifically the southern Thai province of Phang Nga, one of the restaurants I was most looking forward to eating was Khrua Luang Then (ร้าน ครัวหลวงเทน) - it was a place I could feel I was going to love before going - just from the look of powerful spices in the dishes, and the laid-back environment. Turned out to be one of the best Thai food meals I’ve had in a long time, one of my new favorite restaurants in all of Thailand.

We arrived in the morning just as they opened, and already Chef was extremely friendly and welcoming. We ordered a bunch of dishes - and they have some unique southern Thai food dishes that you won’t find elsewhere - so I was extremely excited.

Here are the main dishes we ordered:

Sour curry sea catfish แกงส้มปลาดุกทะเล
Beef dry curry คั่วกลิ้นเนื้อ
Fried fish turmeric ปลาทอดขมิ้น
Black stingray curry ผัดเผ็ดปลากระเบนดำ
Red ant omelet ไข่เจียวมดแดง
Octopus pineapple โวยวายสับปะรด
Sea shells หอยชักตีน
Stir fried morning glory ผัดผักบุ้ง

Total price - 1,800 THB ($55.46)

Before eating, I had a chance to watch Chef as he masterfully cooked all the dishes. His insane skills and use of huge amounts of spice blew my taste buds before even starting to eat. He makes all his own curry pastes, and sources all his ingredients locally.

The food was absolutely insane, bold, spicy, tingly, and a sensation for the tongue. Mind blowing flavor, and strong to the max curries. I loved every bite, and the entire experience.

Khrua Luang Then (ร้าน ครัวหลวงเทน) is located in Khao Lak (เขาหลัก), Phang Nga province (พังงา) in southern Thailand. Khrua Luang Then (ร้าน ครัวหลวงเทน) is also featured in the Thailand Michelin Guide. Must eat if you are a spicy Thai food lover!

Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

Extreme Thai Street Food - JACUZZI MEAT PARADISE! | Hat Yai (หาดใหญ่), Thailand

???? Pakistani Thai Food:
???? Goyae Jaogao Restaurant (ร้านก๊ะเหย๊าะ เจ้าเก่า):

Hat Yai (หาดใหญ่), Thailand - Welcome to Hat Yai, in the Songkhla province of Southern Thailand - home to insanely delicious Thai street food, and some of the friendliest, nicest people I’ve met in all of Thailand. Today, we had the special opportunity to eat at Goyae Jaogao Restaurant (ร้านก๊ะเหย๊าะ เจ้าเก่า), a restaurant known locally for its goat curry, beef curry, and cow hoof soup - made in an extreme way. #streetfood #ThaiFood #Thailand

We arrived at 8 am in the morning to watch Aunty as she started cooking. I loved everything about the restaurant and her style as soon as she arrived. You’ll notice there’s not just one giant jacuzzi of boiling curry, not two, but 6 in the front, all bubbling away - with another in the back. The day we went she cooked an entire goat of curry, plus 50 kilos of cow hoofs, another huge amount of beef curry, and finally one of her specialities - beef bone soup with chamuang leaves, or garcinia cowa leaves.

My favorite styles, the best part of her cooking was when she tied the lemongrass like a rope and crumpled the garcinia cowa leaves and chucked them into the massive posts of bubbling curry. Amazing!

We ordered and ate everything she has on her menu, and honestly I would recommend everything, it was that good:

Beef curry (แกงเผ็ดเนื้อ)
Goat curry (แกงแพะ)
Cow foot soup (ช่อมาลี)
Bone soup (ซุปกระดูก)
Organ soup (ซุปเครื่องใน)
Omelet (ไข่เจียว)

Total price - 600 THB ($19.12) for everything

She makes some of the best beef soup that I’ve ever had in Thailand, maybe the world, and the cow hoof soup was extraordinary. Both curries were also fantastic. Amazing restaurant and hospitality, must eat when you’re in Hat Yai (หาดใหญ่)!

Thank you for watching, hope you’re having a fantastic day!

In this video, we’re going on a street food tour of Satun, mainly local Malay and Thai food. #Satun #Thailand #MalayFood #curry

Here’s everywhere we ate on this street food tour:

Sam Pi Nong (ร้านสามพี่น้อง - For breakfast, we went to a legendary local restaurant run by three sisters. They serve a variety of Malay and Thai main dishes and desserts. Great place to eat breakfast when you’re in Satun.
Total price - 160 THB ($5.30)

Original Gaeng Tomae (แกงตอแมะห์) - This no name - literally no name - curry shop serves Gaeng Tomae (แกงตอแมะห์), a Satun Malay curry of fish that’s loaded with curry leaves. One of my personal favorite dishes in Thailand, and this is a very traditional version. Amazing.
Total price - 105 THB ($3.48)

Bang Dul Restoran (ร้านข้าวแกงบังดุลย์ - Next for lunch on this amazing street food tour of Satun, we went to Bang Dul Restoran (ร้านข้าวแกงบังดุลย์). And the Gaeng Tomae (แกงตอแมะห์) is also astoundingly delicious and rich.
Total price - 300 THB ($9.94)

Roti Mataba (ร้านโรตีมะตะบะ(หน้า พ.ส. - Finally, to finish this Thai and Malay street food tour of Satun, there’s no way we could miss roti, and roti mataba. In the evening, many locals from Satun enjoy hanging out, snacking on roti, and drinking tea. Perfect way to end an amazing day in Satun.

???? Jadjan Restaurant (ร้านจัดจ้าน):

PHUKET, THAILAND - Jadjan Restaurant (ร้านจัดจ้าน) is a laid back Thai street food / shophouse style restaurant where Chef Dang serves delicious family style Central and Southern Thai food. His friendly service, passion for cooking, and delicious food makes this restaurant a perfect place to have lunch or dinner when you’re in Phuket (ภูเก็ต)! #Phuket #Thailand #ThaiFood

We went for lunch, and I could immediately feel the passion and friendliness of Chef Dang, the owner and head chef of Jadjan Restaurant (ร้านจัดจ้าน). He welcomes you and he’s the type of Chef that will come and say hi to all of his customers - or if he’s busy, he’ll yell a greeting from the kitchen. He has all sorts of dishes on the menu, but mostly a mist of Southern Thai food, plus some Central Thai dishes, and then seasonal Phuket food ingredients like local seafood. The crab curry with betel leaves is one of his signature dishes, but unfortunately he didn't have it the day we went, so instead we had a fish curry which was outstanding. We also ordered stink beans stir fried with shrimp and minced pork, seafood tom yum, and probably the best deep fried squid with garlic I’ve ever had.

I highly recommend Jadjan Restaurant (ร้านจัดจ้าน) when you’re in Phuket, especially as a great laid back family restaurant. Jadjan was also included in the Michelin Guide to food in Phuket.

Total price - 910 THB ($28.95) - this is for everything we ordered

Giant SHRIMP BUTTER TOM YUM!! ????️ Spicy Thai Food in Phatthalung, Thailand!

???? Golden Crab Yolk - Thai Seafood Meal:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:
???? Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว):

PHATTHALUNG, THAILAND (พัทลุง) - Welcome to Phatthalung, located in Southern Thailand, it’s one of my favorite provinces in Thailand. The people are amazing, it’s so peaceful and quiet, and the food is spicy and powerful. Today we’re going to eat at a small family run restaurant, where they serve ultimate Southern Thai food and specialize in local seafood, especially freshwater shrimp. #ThaiFood #Phatthalung #tomyum

Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว) is in Phatthalung, near to Lake Songkhla. And something to note is that there’s not ocean front coastline in Phatthalung, but they do have lakefront. And so there is a different variety of seafood available than other parts of Southern Thailand.

From the look of Pa Ngiao Restaurant (ร้านอาหารป้าเงี้ยว), I already knew it was going to be my kind of restaurant. The family was friendly and they took care and pride in their dishes. We ordered a mix of different dishes, including tom yum goong, and some Southern Thai curries.

It was a spectacular meal, one of the best meals that I’ve had in a long time in Southern Thailand. The tom yum goong was huge and so incredibly tasty. And their gaeng som, or southern Thai sour orange curry was one of the best versions I’ve ever had in my life.

Highly recommended. Don’t miss it when you’re in Phatthalung (พัทลุง), Thailand!

Street Food Jungle!! AMAZING THAI FOOD + Grilled Chicken in Tropical Paradise!

???? Best Seafood in Thailand:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:

Phatthalung (พัทลุง), Thailand - Welcome to Phatthalung (พัทลุง) one of the best and most relaxing and green tropical provinces in Thailand. The culture is so laid back and the food is spicy and some of my favorites in Thailand too.

Today we’re going on a jungle street food tour of Tainod Green Market (หลาดใต้โหนด which is this amazing local market where you’ll find everything from cooked southern Thai food to market fresh ingredients to southern Thai culture. You don’t want to miss the amazing food selection. Here’s what I ate:

Chicken - 15 Baht ($0.48) per piece - This was honestly some of the best grilled chicken I’ve had in a long time. It was so perfectly flavorful and rich, and smoky.

Rice and curry - 50 THB ($1.59) - Can’t ever beat a plate of rice and curry when you’re in Phatthalung (พัทลุง), just the best, it’s a meal I never get tired of.

Rice noodles - 15 THB ($0.48) - Next up for a plate of freshly made khanom jeen rice noodles. The southern Thai curries are pungent and spicy.

Arenga pinnata palm fruit (ลูกชก) - Another snack you’ll find is the jelly fruit from a palm tree called the Arenga pinnata. Unique and very good.

Fried cempedak - 20 THB ($0.64) - Next up for one of the greatest deep fried fruits in the world. It’s not a jackfruit, but a cempedak, which is common in southern Thailand and Malaysia. It’s so good, and almost has a natural honey juiciness to it. When you open a cempedak, if you do it correctly - I haven’t done it correctly many times, it opens so the skin peels and all the fruit remains on the core. Deep fried is heaven.

Snakefruit - 20 THB ($0.64) - Finally to complete this Thai jungle street food tour at Tainod Green Market (หลาดใต้โหนด) I had a bowl of peeled snake fruit. I loved the natural packaging.

It’s an amazing market, one of my favorite markets in all of Thailand. The atmosphere, the greenness, and the delicious Thai food is what makes it spectacular.

Street Food 21 CURRIES FOR LUNCH!! Unseen Food Tour in Southeast Asia!! ยะลา

???? Indian Malay Food in Pattani:
???? Subscribe for NEW VIDEOS:

YALA (ยะลา), THAILAND - Located in the very far south, the Deep South of Thailand, Yala is a beautiful province known for its Malay culture and food, forest, and fruit paradise. In this Malay street food tour in Yala we ate one of the best traditional curry meals I’ve ever had in my life, and then continued on to the city to eat famous beef soup. Finally, we drove outside the city for some curian and cempedak. Get ready for some insanely delicious curry and fresh fruit in Yala, Thailand!

Khrua Wahid (ครัววาฮิด - Welcome to one of the best traditional curry restaurants I’ve eaten at in a long time. They serve traditional Malay and Thai curries and dishes from Yala. I was fascinated by the variety, and the ingredients present in each of the dishes. Literally every dish was outstanding, and many of them were new for me - even having traveled quite a lot in both Thailand and Malaysia. One of the many highlights was the quail and chili leaf curry. But really, you cannot make a bad choice at Khrua Wahid (ครัววาฮิด), it’s a must eat if you love curry when you’re in Yala, Thailand.

Quail - We stopped on the side of the road for a quick delicious roasted quail, so tasty.

Organ Soup (ซุปเครื่องใน (มัสยิดกาโบ) - In the iconic market of Yala in the the center of the city, you’ll find this legendary generations old beef soup restaurant. The soup is simple and refreshing, mainly focusing on beef organs and stomach. Additionally, you have to eat the soup with an omelet. The combination is fantastic.

Bang Lang Bridge and Lake - Finally to finish this street food tour of Yala, we drove about an hour to the iconic Bang Lang Lake and bridge. On the way, we stopped for some Yala fruit, including durian and cempedak. Unfortunately all the small “durian baan” were finished for the season, but the mon thong variety was still pretty good. And the view over the lake was spectacular.

I had an amazing time exploring Yala, but too short, so much more to eat and still do in Yala. I hope to visit again.

???? Mae Hong Son Street Food Tour:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:
???? Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง):

BANGKOK, THAILAND: Easily the best all around seafood restaurant I’ve been to in Bangkok is Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) a restaurant where owner and chef P’Note sources his own seafood and also often goes fishing himself in Southern Thailand and brings back the catch to serve at the restaurant. Tonight we’re eating a huge seafood meal, and along with the best ever Thai pepper crab, P’Note served us an omakase meal of all the parts of a 40 kg. Giant grouper fish! #Bangkok #Thailand #seafood

Also in the video, I was hanging out and eating with friends P’Tan ( and P’Tape (

???? If you’re in Bangkok, Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง): is located in Bang Na, and they are also doing delivery across Bangkok. Seafood is the best of the best and they might have fresh seafood specials of the day.

We started this Thai seafood meal with the fresh giant grouper. P’Note and staff are highly skilled at parting and slicing fish. They parted it out, and actually for our meal we enjoyed some of the lesser known parts of the giant grouper, but some of the best tasting - like the collar, cheeks, and face. The pepper crab was loaded with green pepper, garlic, and kaffir lime leaves. Another favorite dish here are the penshells, or sometimes razor clams if available cooked Hong Kong style with tons of garlic, green onions, and mung bean noodles - the best!

Usually we eat at Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) at least once a week because the food is so incredible good, and fresh, and consistent. Come to Baan Pu Khai Dong (ร้านบ้านปูไข่ดอง) for the best seafood meal in Bangkok!

Golden Goose Eggs - BALLOON OMELET!! Rare Jungle Food in Southeast Asia!!

????️ WATCH NEXT: Village Food in Thailand:

TRANG, THAILAND (ตรัง) - Today we are going to eat traditional food in Southern Thailand, and we got lucky today with rare goose eggs - and I’m talking about the fluffiest omelet you’ve ever had!

Khrua Boon Ma (ครัวบุญมา - Although the official name of the restaurant is Khrua Boon Ma (ครัวบุญมา), also they call the restaurant as Wan Wan local Trang food (วันวาน). The owner is extremely cool and his aim is to preserve the traditional food and cooking methods of Southern Thai food. I ate a lot of food in Trang, but this my favorite restaurant - I love everything about it. And his catfish curry is probably the best I’ve ever had, ever.

Goose egg omelet - This was my first time to eat a goose egg omelet. Unlike chickens, geese only lay their eggs one or two times per year during the right season. So you’ve got to be in the right place at the right time - and luckily for us - this was the time. To make the Southern Thai style goose egg omelet, she mixed in 5 eggs, with cha om (climbing wattle shoots), some soy sauce, and a plate of chilies and garlic. The omelet was deep fried to a crispy balloon - literally like an inner tube - perfection. Hand down the fluffiest omelet I’ve ever had.

And again, I can not get enough of their catfish curry here, it’s so insanely good, and one of the species curries in Trang. He uses long pepper, huge amounts of galangal, tree basil, and chilies out of control.

Highly highly recommended, one of my favorite restaurants in Thailand. When you’re in Trang, don’t miss it.

Gas Station Street Food!! GREATEST UMAMI MEAL in The Fish Sauce Capital!

???? Slipper Lobster Tom Yum in Narathiwat -
???? Restaurant is Khrua Nasi Ulang (ครัวนาซิ อุลังค์)

Sai Buri (สายบุรี) - Welcome to Sai Buri, in Pattani province, on the border of Narathiwat in Thailand. This is the best and most well known area for Malay style fermented anchovy sauce, known locally as Nam budu (น้ำบูดู).

Khrua Nasi Ulang (ครัวนาซิ อุลังค์ Here’s the restaurant: - This amazing restaurant in Sai Buri, serves a dish called Nasi Ulang, a Malay dish of rice and a variety of vegetables (and also a variety of fish and curries), all served with tempoyak (fermented durian) and importantly, a few different types of fermented anchovy sauce.

Nasi Ulang is a meal that is also very common in the northern Malaysian province on Kelantan, which shares the same culture with this area in Thailand. The food was outstanding, the variety of vegetables and all the different dipping sauces, and the mis of fermented durian with fermented anchovy sauce - it’s a flavor that will always excite your mouth.

After lunch we drove down the road, and just into Narathiwat to see a small family run nam budu (น้ำบูดู), fermented anchovy sauce factory. It was great to learn about how it’s prepared and the important role that fermented anchovy sauce plays in the local Malay food of Pattani and Narathiwat.

Huge thank you to Muhammad and Rus from Papa Tagu ( for taking me around on another incredible day of Thai and Malay food in Pattani!

Ultimate STREET FOOD NOODLE HEAVEN ????!! Local Market Tour + Best Food in Mae Hong Son!

???? 5 Aunty’s Cook Huge Curry:
???? NEW T-shirts and caps available now:

MAE HONG SON (แม่ฮ่องสอน), THAILAND - Welcome to the main city of Mae Hong Son, the capital also of Mae Hong Son province in Northwestern Thailand. It’s one of the most removite, mountainous, and beautiful provinces in Thailand. Today we’re going on an ultimate Thai / Shan / Burmese street food tour of Mae Hong Son! #MaeHongSon #streetfood #Thailand

Morning Market - We begin at the morning market in Mae Hong Son - and it was actually a cold morning so it felt good to use a jacket. We wandered around the market, and you’ll find that it’s unlike anywhere else in Thailand - many of the people are from hill tribes, and surrounding villages, and there’s a large Shan / Thai Yai influence and many Karen people. At the front of the market, you’ll find some street food stalls. I tried a bowl of Shan noodles in a tofu gravy with fried tofu on the side. I’ve have Shan tofu before and I love it. This was delicious, almost like a bowl of porridge, yet it was yellow pea tofu. Price - 25 THB ($0.84) per bowl. Next to that stall I tried a bowl of khao sen, thin rice noodles with a tomato pork broth and serves with crispy Shan deep fried veggies - which are extraordinary. Price - 20 THB ($0.67) per bowl. Two great bowls of noodles, you don’t want to miss on your street food tour in Mae Hong Son!

Pa Si Bua (ร้านป้าศรีบัว) Restaurant - Located right in the heart of Mae Hong Son is the legendary Pa Si Bua (ร้านป้าศรีบัว) Restaurant where they serve a variety of Shan style rice and curry. Whatever looks good you can order it and it will likely be good. You don’t want to miss their jeen lung, which are Shan meatballs, and could be some of the greatest meatballs in the world. We ordered everything they had for the day, and it was a delicious meal. You can really taste how Shan food is its own unique cuisine. Total price - 290 THB ($9.69)

Khao Sen Yai Jaang (ร้านข้าวเส้นยายจ่าง) - After doing some sightseeing and visiting some of the top attractions in Mae Hong Son, we then headed for an afternoon bowl of noodles at Khao Sen Yai Jaang (ร้านข้าวเส้นยายจ่าง). Served out of the front of the house, her khao sen is on another level. It just melts in your mouth and it doesn’t even look like it’s going to be that flavorful, but somehow it just blows you away with layers of amazing flavor. I loved it, and also loved their khao kan jeen, rice steamed with blood. Price - 25 THB ($0.84) per bowl

Mae Hong Son (แม่ฮ่องสอน) is really one of the most special and unique provinces and cities in Thailand. It’s so laid back, the people are friendly, and there’s so much interesting food to try.

THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN I HAVE HAD IN THAILAND SO FAR

While Nisma and I are traveling through Thailand we like trying out popular hangouts that locals frequent and enjoy. We were told that this place located at 316 Si Thammasok Rd in Nakhon Si Thammarat was THE BOMB when it came to delicious, crispy, mouth watering fried chicken. It has been a family business for over 40 years. The locals were not wrong. The coating is excellent and crispier then the Colonel. In my opinion this recipe blows away a lot of the competition. The prices are more than affordable especially if you are a backpacker or traveling on a tight budget. You can also call ahead and have a delivery company pick it up if you don't want to leave your hotel. There are only 3 things on their menu. Fried Chicken, Fried Onions (NOT RINGS) and Sticky Rice. I wish they did Fries and Onion Rings. Possibly next time I stop in I will bring some frozen fries and see if they will toss them in for me..

To sum it up, Great Food at a VERY AFFORDABLE PRICE!!
