Pressed Pennies on TV - Season 1
So this has been an ongoing project of mine over quite a few years. This started while I was watching the very first episode of the revamped Hawaii Five-O tv series and I noticed a pressed penny machine in one of the scenes. Then it just seemed that periodically I would find another one in the background of various shows. I wrote an article on my Blog about it and have been updating it as I come across new ones. Pressed Pennies on TV - Season 2
A few years ago I put together a compilation of various Television shows I had watched that had a special appearance by a pressed penny machine. Some where actually machines you could visit (at that time) while others were fictional. Now here we are finally with Season 2. We assumed it was being converted over to the new payment system, but to my surprise it was completely replaced with a brand new machine. Hollywood Studios Pressed Pennies - Toy Story Land / Galaxy's Edge 2019
Here we are with the final trip to Hollywood Studios on our tour of the park on the hunt for all the pressed penny machines. In this video we start out with the Animation Courtyard, head into Toy Story Land and finish it off at Star War's Galaxy's edge for a ride on the new attraction Rise of the Resistance. We found all the pressed coin machines and had a great time exploring the park.

Disney's Robin Hood NEW Pressed Pennies | Epcot
I am so excited to share with everyone that Disney has finally released a set of pressed pennies themed around one of my all-time favorite Animated Classics Robin Hood. The machine is located in a unique place over in Epcot at the Disney Traders gift shop. But not to worry I bring you along as I head over to the park and hunt down this new machine. Day 3 of our Miami vacation we got up early and headed over to Miami's Seaquarium. They had both indoor and outdoor exhibits, with lots of sea creatures, from Dolphins to Manatees, and some big iguanas just wandering around grounds. This place was actually had quite the pressed penny selection with 3 machines available and a total of 12 penny designs. Oh did I mention this was the home of Flipper the dolphin? Pretty cool history in this interesting place.

The Jungle Book NEW Pressed Pennies | Animal Kingdom
Over the last week or so we have seen the release of some new pressed penny machines, and they just keep rolling out. During a visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom we found another new machine just outside the Island Mercantile Store near the Tree of Life. Disney Junior NEW Pressed Pennies | Hollywood Studios
Not too long ago we had some friends in town visiting the Walt Disney World parks. They know all about my pressed penny obsession, and periodically would send me pictures of penny machines they came across in the parks just to make sure I had them. Of course most of them I have already visited and collected, but on this one day they send me a picture of a brand new machine I hadn't seen before. Immediately I went onto the Disney App and somehow was able to get a park reservation for the following day so I could investigate this further. Sure enough it was a brand new machine, with designs themed around various Disney Junior television shows. This machine is located in an area of the park that is not really being used right now, and is kind of hidden but don't worry I'll make sure and show you exactly where it can be found. Keep on Pressing!

An elongated coin (pressed penny) old machine at tourist attractions in japan
CRT TV, grainy digital image, a machine full of old atmosphere.
This machine used to be everywhere in tourist spots in Japan, but these days it is almost impossible to see it. So now it's very valuable.
The coins made by this machine are often used as commemorative or souvenir tokens.
And when you watch to the end, the music of this machine flows.
Pressed Pennies at the Universal Store Orlando Airport NEW Terminal C
Orlando International Airport recently opened their brand new Terminal C building. It had been rumored that there were pressed penny machines inside Universal Studios Store but unfortunately all the shopping and dinning is beyond the TSA Security check only available to travelers arriving or departing this Terminal. That recently changed and they now offer a Shopping Pass that allows anyone to venture inside the new Terminal. So I took full advantage of this so I could check on the store and can confirm there are not one but two new penny machines inside. Cafe Du Monde New Orleans Elongated Coin Machine Part 1
I was at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans and I made a video of the first of the two elongated coin machines there. 51 cents is cheap compared to the Machines at the Smithsonian in D.C. Both machines were the hand cranked type.
