Predator 3500w NEW STYLE (Wheel Brake on Left) Remote Start and Stop Kit Installation Video!
Come along as I walk through the installation of the new style remote start and stop kit. This video goes over the steps for the Predator 3500w with the wheel brake on the left side.
We built the new kits with a universal pigtail so no matter which style you have or end up with (Wheel brake on the left or right) we have the correct wire harness for your kit!
Imagine waking up in your nice warm trailer after a decent nights rest. The outside temp is a biting 24 degrees. Without getting out of bed, you reach to the key fob on the night stand and start up the generator. No more having to get shoes and a jacket on, opening the noisy trailer door letting all that cold air in just to go turn your generator on. You are now ready to ease into the day in your warm trailer and hot cup of coffee.

Predator 3500 Watt Super Quiet Inverter Generator from Harbor Freight
We got rid of our Champion 4k Generator and got a Predator 3500 Inverter/Generator! The Predator 3500 watt inverter/Generator is way quieter. It is also more fuel efficient.
The predator 3500 Inverter/Generator features electric start, a 2.8 Gallon fuel tank and super quiet at 57db.
So far it runs perfectly. I recommend the predator 3500 Inverter/Generator for RV and camping. I got it at Harbor freight but is also available at Amazon under various labels.

Running a 30 amp Camper With Two Harbor Freight Predator Generators
This is two Harbor Freight 1,600 - 2,000 watt generators connected with a parallel connector. For this test I ran the A/C, refrigerator and television. I would probably turn something off before kicking on the coffee maker or microwave. These generators are super quiet and you can barely hear them running inside.
I got this system primarily for emergency power but the twin generators give me the flexibility to take one when I don't need the big setup. The twin generator configuration means double the maintenance and higher up front costs. We felt the costs were justified because the generators are easier to move. I couldn't life the 3,500 watt generator but I can load these in the truck without assistance.

Harbor Freight Predator inverter generator compared to Champion Inverter generator
Harbor Freight Predator 3500/3000 watt inverter generator compared to Champion 100233 - 3400/3100 Watt Inverter Generator.
I ended up with the Champion because the Predator died 6 months after I bought it. Never used it just break in and monthly warm ups. It was replaced but not until after my first RV trip. It died the day before the trip during the test run. So I ran out and bought the Champion to break it in for the no hook up site.
Now I have redundancy if one breaks I will have a back up.
Likewise My Ecoworth solar controller also lasted a few months dying the week before the first trip. ( )
I eventually replaced it with a very awesomely impressive Victron Blutooth one. ( )
I will buy a back up solar controller for when I am retired on long trips. Redundancy is the key word there again.

We have discussed this for a long time, the storm pushed us to make this decision!
???? We have a small “ish” travel trailer with 1 AC unit and a small house!
✅ We can use these at the house & in the RV (they cannot power the whole house)
✅ The portability & weight will be easy to transport
✅ We have a parallel kit and will add a soft start!
✅ We started them up and tested on the RV! Everything went well!
