DJI Phantom 3 - Distance Test 4,6km (15,100 feet) towards Portofino
On a clear day with no wind i tested out the range and distance of my DJI Phantom 3 Advance. After less then 5 Min i was at 4,6km and 76% battery life still left.
DJI was already suggesting to come home so I did. I Chickend out although i could have gone a bit further. I will try it out an other time.

Portofino, Rapallo & Santa Margherita - The Italian Riviera (Liguria)
Portofino is a charming sea village on the Italian Riviera circumscribed by the green of the Natural Regional Park and Marine Reserve. This splendid sea resort with its lux, Mediterranean personality, also boasts an ancient marine culture. The area around Portofino is a protected park.
The little streets leading up from the harbour can be explored in very little time. As well as expensive boutiques, there are cheaper souvenir shops and also general stores where you could put together a picnic if you're planning on a walk. Via Roma leads upwards from the harbour, and is the busiest street, with a range of shops, the Portofino Tourist Information Office and the Post Office.
The pretty Piazzetta by the harbour is lined with cafe and restaurant tables, a lovely place to relax with a drink and watch the boats.
Wandering the waterfront and the lanes, you'll find yachting boutiques, jewellers and art galleries.......
#Rapallo was originally a traditional harbour town, and is now the largest and most important seaside resort on the Mediterranean coast in north-west Italy. It is not far from Portofino and with its range of hotels, Rapallo makes a good base for exploring the coast. Bigger and busier than its neighbours, and a little less expensive. Rapallo is convenient for travellers as it is also nearer the autostrada and has more 'stopping' train services......
#Santa Margherita Ligure is that wonderfully old-fashioned kind of Riviera resort where palm fronds wave along the esplanade and is also well placed to explore local highlights such as Portofino. The seafront is the main attraction at Santa Margherita Ligure, with its beach, lively harbour and promenade, and is very picturesque with palm trees, grand buildings and brightly coloured houses immediately behind the seafront.There are two quite extensive areas of beach in the centre of the town, hence its popularity as a base for visitors exploring the region.....

???????? San Fruttuoso, Camogli (GE) Liguria - Italy | Hidden Ligurian village viewed by our FPV drones
The San Fruttuoso abbey is a corner of paradise you can reach only by ferry from Camogli and Rapallo or on foot.
This fishing village, that takes its name from the Abbey, stands amid the earth and the woodlands of Mount Portofino and the blue sea of eastern Liguria. There are no shop and no facilities of any sort there! So once the last boat leaves, you will find yourself immersed in entirely natural surroundings! This is quite unique...
This one-time Benedictine monastery (10th century), from the 13th century the Abbey’s fate became intertwined with that of the Doria family, who renovated its design, adding the loggia and transferring here the family burial ground. Thanks to the donation from the Doria family, since 1983 the Abbey has been part of the architectural heritage of FAI - Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano (The National Trust for Italy), which has restored it and, since then, has been taking care of it.
For fans of diving its bay houses the famous statue of Christ of the Abyss, placed on the seabed in 1954 and restored in the late nineties.

L'Abbazia di San Fruttuoso è un angolo di paradiso che si può raggiungere solamente via nave (da Camogli o Rapallo) o a piedi seguendo un lungo ma panoramico sentiero escursionistico.
Il villaggio di pescatori, che prende il nome dall'Abbazia, si trova tra i promontori di Portofino e il Mar Ligure. Non ci sono negozi o servizi nel paese perciò una volta salpato l'ultimo traghetto ci si ritrova completamente immersi nella natura... una sensazione unica!
Un tempo monastero benedettino (X secolo), dal XIII secolo il destino dell'abbazia si intrecciò con quello della famiglia Doria, che ne rinnovò il disegno, aggiungendo la loggia e trasferendo qui il luogo di sepoltura della famiglia. Nel 1983 l’Abbazia è stata donata dalla famiglia Doria al FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano, che lo ha restaurato e da allora se ne prende cura.
Per gli appassionati di immersione è interessante sapere che la baia ospita il famoso Cristo degli Abissi piazzato sui fondali nel 1954 e recentemente restaurato.
