26-Year Active Duty Military Veteran Makes HUGE Announcement!

THIS VIDEO: Benny and Jessie plan for retirement while also announcing plans for their full time RV adventure! They also fix a few things on the RZR.

CHANNEL MISSION: Trek’r is an off-road, RV, and camping adventure channel. Our mission is to explore the Continental United States to experience all the beauty and challenges America has to offer.

CHANNEL VISION: This channel aims to help others see the incredible adventures that those in RVs get to enjoy on a regular basis. It will also review and evaluate products essential to campers such as pick-up truck parts, fifth wheel & camper accessories, and off-road tools.

BACKSTORY: Benito [ben-e-tho] (Benny) met Jessie early in his military career and they have been together ever since. Since having been based at multiple state-side locations and deployed to regions such as the Middle-East, Pacific Theater, and West Asia, Benny will finish his 26-year career at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois in June 2025 as Air Mobility Command’s Superintendent of Aircraft Maintenance Training. His uncommon skillsets include strategic planning, complex project management, and aerospace technical craftsmanship.

Jessica (Jessie-Girl) is an amateur tourist! She loves to traveling the country visiting wonderful and unique locations. So far, hers and Benny’s destinations include highly desired places such as Moab UT, The Grand Canyon CO, Asheville NC, & Hatfield McCoy WV. Having traveled nearly 50% of America’s states, the story is just beginning!

CURRENT BIG-RIG SETUP: Benny and Jessie own a 2023 Grand Design Momentum 350G fifth wheel toy hauler. They plan to use this while they full time. With its nearly 15-foot garage, there is plenty of space to stretch their legs and house their 2021 Polaris RZR XP Turbo S4. The RZR is a 925cc turbo charged off-road “beast”. It is, easily, the show stopper of all the equipment. The hauler is towed by their 2017 RAM 3500 SWR Turbo Cummins crew cab truck. In its infancy stages, there are a lot of upgrades that still need to take place to this diesel puller. Finally, the couple own a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude model. Still looking fresh, the Jeep is their daily driver and they plan on taking it with them on the road to help with local traveling, grocery-getting, and sight-seeing.

Overland Can-Am Maverick X3 Rig Walk-around - My ULTIMATE Adventure Vehicle

JUST back from the 8,650 mile overland off road adventure through 22 states around the USA - this is what worked and what didn’t.

This rig started out as a 2017 Can-Am Maverick X3 X RS Max on it's first few overland trips - got left at CT Raceworx outside Charlotte, North Carolina last year for a TOTAL rebuild making it into what I THINK is the ultimate adventure vehicle that can go ANYWHERE on OR off road.

She got a new 2020 chassis, had the power-coat burned off, gussets welded in, RE-powder-coated in desert tan and had a new cage added, which reinforced the upper rear shock mounting brackets.

Roof rack got extended for added capacity and lights and tool mounts added all the way around it.

Since the trip in the video, she's gotten a few extras like belt changing and oil swapping kits mounted to the cage, and a couple LIGHTWEIGHT (1/2 pound) fire extinguishers.

And onboard are PLENTY of spare parts - spare knuckles for all four corners, with bearings already pressed in, spare hubs with brake rotors and lug bolts pressed in, and LOTS spare bolts and nuts along with a host of other parts that MAY or may not be needed.

Where the rear seats used to be is a tool box fitted to bolt into the seat mounts, which carries all the tools and jacks necessary to strip the car down and put it back together again.

For communications, its' got Rugged Radios for car-to-car in case somebody wants to come along (ALL are welcome to RIDE), a Garmin InReach mounted to the cage, which connects to the iPhone via Bluetooth for satellite texting, a SPOT GPS beacon, which throws out the location of the rig every 30 minutes or so, and an ACR emergency beacon for a backup.

She's COMPLETELY street legal and gets me and hounds around MOST of the country with speed, comfort, AND style.

it's got 15' Fuel 6+1 offset wheels with 31 BFG KO2 All-Terrain Tires, an OEM electronic flip up windshield, Baja Designs Lights, PLENTY of spare fuel and water, a shovel, high lift jack and a hydraulic jack with jack stands, tools,

What it DOESN'T have is a BOOMING stereo OR a cooler.

Kawasaki KRX 1000 - PRP Limit Straps installation (front and rear)

LONG video but it goes over all the trials and tribulations of the install without have any instructions or prior knowledge. I do a quick overview at the beginning of the video with the full install following. I am hoping this will help someone not have to spend near the amount of time it took me. I could not find any video or good install documentation online for the KRX so here ya go :)

Also, I did call PRP and was told they recommend putting the rears on the outside. I do not see how that could work with the factory offset running 35s (or ever 31s) without rubbing on the tires and being a hazard. If you know otherwise, please let me know. Again, I am not an expert just a hands-on kind of guy. IF you run a different offset or 2in spacers I could see that as an option.

Straps purchased from here: Great deal!

Tools needed: (or at least that I needed)
17mm socket/wrench to remove existing shock bolts
19mm for new bolt nut
10mm allen socket for new bolt
Breaker bar (to break things)
Hammer (to beat crap)
Large flathead screwdriver (to help line up shock hole
Phillips screwdriver (if you need to remove brake line spacer/holder)
Torque Wrench (for torquing)
- 88.5 ft/lbs wheels
- 70.4 ft/lbs shock bolts
Jack stands
Floor jack
Patience
Zip ties
Heat shield wrap
