Back to LAX for the second time this year for some more spotting. This time filmed from a brand new location for me at Imperial Hill on the southside of the airfield. A good location for catching movements on the southern runways 25L & 25R and the many cargo movements you get at LAX.
Was a fairly nice morning for it as far as LA weather goes. Wasn't too smoggy and pretty good visibility. Also some nice condensation effects over the wings of some of the 777's.

3 hours of watching airplanes landing and taking off at one of the world's busiest airports, Los Angeles International Airport KLAX/LAX. Perfect for relaxation, background noise, an afternoon viewing or however you want to enjoy.
I spend a lot of time and effort getting footage for these videos, documenting this world of flight for future generations of aviation geeks and citizens of this world alike. Why is it important to me?
Aviation itself in its many forms, is a very valuable gift. Travel by flight allows this world to become closer, to learn of each other, to become more profitable not just monetarily but also in knowledge and insight and to use precious time more efficiently as well. Yes, that realization may not be quite so present when standing in a lengthy line at the airport prior to the actual travel experience, but then shame on us as humankind for being so nearsighted and not allocating space, people and resources to give this gift the priority and prominence that would make it truly even more effective. The abilities that aviation allows should be treated as an investment for every community.
Aviation is multi-faceted and various types of aircraft allow for greater flexibility in a variety of situations but airliners tend to grab my attention the most. Certainly, there are other methods to get from place to place but consider how the hundreds and thousands of miles that in history past that were once a great divider and an obstacle to human achievement and connection are now so non-existent that people hardly give it a second thought... this is one of aviation's great gifts to mankind: the ability to cover great distances around the world with incredible speed. With airliners, people go global. How long would it take to travel the same distance through some other slower method?
And so it is a lifeblood of this world so ingrained in the way the world operates that to remove it would effectively cripple the world as we know it and as it has now been built because of it. Flight allows us to explore, to follow dreams, to visit and learn of distant lands, to gain more accurate viewpoints, to vacation far away, to see distant clients, friends, family and relatives, the list goes on and on. It is used by the rich, famous and the unwashed masses alike. It is natural that people either realize the value of it and treat it as special or couldn't care less and take it for granted. In truth, a reality this momentous deserves to be celebrated and so I take the time to document and celebrate it in as many forms as I am able and in as many opportunities as present themselves.
Personally, I find in aviation a best friend and something that has been with me most all of my life. It provides a rhythm of life for me that I have found few other things can provide. So many adventures, advantages and opportunities have come to me because of my interest in flight. Through it I have met many wonderful people which I may not have otherwise. Aviation inspires me to eliminate barriers and set goals in my own life, to dream and be the best I can be. There is always more and more to learn of it and through seeking to understand more of it I have learned how to study and to better myself and to attain knowledge in everything from science to personal discipline. In short, it has become a viewpoint that connects me to the world around me. I echo the words of great aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry who said, “I fly because it releases my mind from the tyranny of petty things. ”

(4K) AMAZING LAX ACTION - Planespotting at Los Angeles International Airport
A fun day of planespotting at Los Angeles International Airport from May 2023. In this video, planes are filmed from the H Hotel rooftop, In-N-Out Burger, and the Bat Bridge. In-N-Out Burger featured some super low overhead arrivals, including the Emirates A380 from Dubai which everyone stopped to look at. That thing created such a breeze afterwards and was so huge in person. The Bat Bridge is a nice location for north side arrivals and seeing them touch down, but the downside was some trees in the way which impeded the full landing video. French Bee was super majestic as it arrived and it was nice to see the Saudia special livery too, even though he was a bit overexposed and far, so not the best shots of him. I really liked spotting the China Airlines Airbus Livery too.

A few days ago JustPlanes released its 7th Plane Spotting video of LAX International Airport (watch the 20min video at the bottom of this description)
LAX is one of the most awesome airports for airplane spotters around the world but nothing equals aerial photography of this airport and in our 9th Just Planes TV film we visit the one and only specialist of these flights STAR HELICOPTERS. Star is actually celebrating its 10th anniversary of plane spotting flights. The folks at Star will remove the doors for you so you can have an unobstructed view of the runways below you and shoot some A380s and 747s touching down!
Star does many other flights too and we wanted to give you a small taste by flying over some of the landmarks in and around Los Angeles.

I elected not to go spotting at In-N-Out Burger this time due to
the 6L-24R closure, but I did do some terminal spotting from Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). It has been a long time since I've seen spotting conditions this good at LAX... the air was clear without almost any haze and you can see the Hollywood sign in some of these shots and they have tried to clean the TBIT terminal windows it appears.

World’s Busiest Airport Sights From Above: LAX
This video shares my love of aviation. It is the first of a video series on airports and shows the busy airplane movements. LAX is one of the busiest airports in the world (the third busiest in 2019, behind Atlanta and Beijing).
My love of aviation started more than 20 years ago as a plane spotter. I have spent countless hours watching airplanes coming and going at LAX. The video includes rare and incredible air-to-air footage, taken from a Helicopter.
This video feature some of the best LAX movements, including footage from many A380 operators such as Emirates, Lufthansa, Air France, Korean and China Southern. It also features many B747s, B777s, B787s and A350s showing take-off and landing from close quarters.
The video was filmed from various locations and from day to night including the gorgeous SoCal sunset.

During my trip to California I couldn't help but check out the iconic airport that is LAX for some spotting! This was all filmed on Friday 12th September 2014 from about midday until 4:30pm. LAX gets some incredible traffic which we rarely if not never see in the UK, so I made this video and filmed most traffic movements, all the little ones which we don't get in Europe altogether, not just the heavies. However it does still include absolutely tonnes of heavies too! I didn't know which bits to cut so I didn't... Here's everything I filmed :)

Runway 24 left & right are certainly more than enough to keep me entertained, with a never ending flow of arrivals and departures some of which line at perfect times for the perfect race of a departure & arrival! A few of which you can see in the video. The departures on RWY24L I was surprised at how soon after one aircraft has rotated the next one is rolling, you can see on several occasions in the video that I'm filming one aircraft climb away and you can already hear the next one powering up! Amazing.
Apologies for the shaky footage in places, didn't have a tripod so was all handheld and apologies for the 3 annoying trees in the way as well, but not much I could do about them.
