Air Canada's retrofitted A330s is the best way to fly between Florida and Canada. Due to the high capacity needed between Montreal and Fort Lauderdale during the winter months, the A330 became the perfect jet to fly the vacationers.

So you've heard the nightmare stories. Pearson Airport is in a state of constant chaos, Air Canada is cancelling flights left, right, and centre, and yes, they still serve cold plastic packaged bread rolls with their Economy dinner meals. But with all the horrible stories of nights stranded in the airport and bags getting lost, I still figured I should go check it out for myself. On this trip I'm headed into the eye of the storm, Toronto's Pearson International Airport, with a 3 hour connection as I travel from Montreal to Barcelona.

MAYDAY. Air Canada A330-300 returns to the field due to electrical smell in the cabin. Real ATC
THIS VIDEO IS A RECONSTRUCTION OF THE FOLLOWING SITUATION IN FLIGHT:
18-MAY-2023. An Air Canada Airbus A330-300 (A333), registration C-GFAH, performing flight ACA490 / AC490 from Toronto Pearson International Airport (Canada) to Montreal–Trudeau International Airport (Canada) during climb out of Toronto declared MAYDAY, stopped at 11000 feet, reported electrical smell in the cabin and requested return. Being on approach the pilots reported their intentions to stop on the runway after landing.

HOW I DO VIDEOS:
1) I monitor media, airspace, looking for any non-standard, emergency and interesting situation.
2) I find communications of ATC unit for the period of time I need.
3) I take only phrases between air traffic controller and selected flight.
4) I find a flight path of selected aircraft.
5) I make an animation (early couple of videos don’t have animation) of flight path and aircraft, where the aircraft goes on his route.
6) When I edit video I put phrases of communications to specific points in video (in tandem with animation).
7) Together with my comments (voice and text) I edit and make a reconstruction of emergency, non-standard and interesting situation in flight.
