Philippines Street Food in Salcedo Saturday Market | Best Place to Eat Street Food in Makati

Went to Salcedo Saturday Market to check out what food they offer and to find what philippines street food they sell.

Amazed by the food variety they offer from grilled foods, tasty desserts, yummy rice meals to refreshing drinks and other treats. Aside from Filipino cuisines, they also treat you with French, American, Spanish and Chinese cuisines that will certainly wet your appetites. This weekend market is popular among tourist, almost half of the costumers are not Filipinos.

There are tables set which you can enjoy your bought food or snacks. It is located inside a park which is in the center of the busy Makati Business District.

THIS FILIPINO MARKET is a FOODIE HEAVEN! Salcedo Market in Makati, Philippines

Visit the Saturday Salcedo Market in Makati, Metro Manila to try Filipino food and street foods from other cuisines. A tour of the weekend market in Philippines!
Follow on instagram:

Salcedo Saturday Market is a community market in Makati, Philippines that was formed in 2005! It meets at the Jaime Velasquez Park of Salcedo Village in Makati city every Saturday from 7AM-2PM and offers a range of fresh produce, food (Filipino and from other cuisines such as Malay, Thai, Mexican, Korean, Italian, etc.), as well as crafts. It is actually quit a small market but packed full with stalls. Be sure to go inside the stalls too, not just walking around it. I tried a lot of Filipino food stalls but if you're a local visiting, know that they have a TON of different kinds of food! Really a foodie heaven.

We stopped by this weekend market in metro Manila before heading to Pampanga. The market is very vegetarian and vegan-friendly with lots of artisanal goods. People were very friendly as well (Filipino hospitality is real :))! Besides the plastic bag to hold the fish, the market itself is more environmentally friendly and had signs everywhere about recycling and reducing plastic waste. It was an awesome market to visit on the weekend!

Salcedo Saturday Market: Satisfy Your Cravings in Makati City!

This is Salcedo Village’s answer to the Legazpi Sunday Market that we featured on this channel a month ago. This Saturday market was conceptualized earlier in 2004 patterned after European village markets but officially launched only a year later by a group of expats from surrounding condominiums of the posh village. From a handful of merchants, it grew to 150 different regional cuisines from the Ilocos, Pampanga & Bicol as well as international gourmet foods like French, Thai & Indonesian organic produce.

Local desserts & delicacies are also a major staple of the market. Other concessionaires also sell organic plants, flowers, healthy supplements, ceramics & other house wares. The market welcomes customers rain or shine & have been a popular tourist spot as well. Like its sister market in Legazpi, the Salcedo market provides an outdoor communal dining area with tables & chairs for shoppers & diners. The Salcedo Market is a project under the Women of Bel-Air Foundation, Inc.

The Salcedo Community Market opens at 7 AM to 2 PM every Saturday in Jaime Velasquez Park or more popularly called Salcedo Park in Tordesillas Street. It’s good to see this open-air street market very alive again (with so many foreigners) after on & off operations brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, let’s find some interesting foods & items that we never heard of nor normally find anywhere else – only in Salcedo Saturday Market!
