Everyone has seen the astonishing Treasury that was hand carved into the side of a mountain but this ancient city is way more than that. Petra is the size of 50,000 football fields and has more than 1,000 tombs, endless slot canyons, and intricate carvings that will blow your mind. Petra has to be in the top 3 world wonders and once you step foot in this jaw dropping city, you can only imagine how 30,000 Nabateans lived here in a place considered to be paradise. One of the most astonishing discoveries about Petra is the water system because Jordan is one of the most water scarce countries in the world.

I FINALLY MADE IT TO PETRA in Southern Jordan, which means I've officially visited all 7 New Wonders of the World!
This one, in all seriousness, might be my favorite wonder of them all.
Petra is a 2,400-year-old archaeological city in the middle of the Jordanian desert, that's half built & half carved into rose-colored rock and giant sandstone cliffs.
I can explain more about it here… but words can't do justice like a video can. Just watch to discover the beauty of this ancient city. Has anyone else been to Petra? Did you love it as much as I did?

The Best Way to Explore Petra | What to Know | One of 7 New Wonders of the World
What is good travel people?
We have to say, with the full honesty, that Jordan has been one of our most favourite places to visit. And OMG is it beautiful… A history that not many know and the places that not many will ever see.
Today we are sharing our awesome day in one of the 7 new world wonders - Petra. You probably have seen this place if you have ever watch Indiana Jones. Hehe yeah, it was filmed here - and those are the vibes that you will definitely get.
Useful information:
* Entrance - 50 JD (free with the Jordan pass)
* Arrive as early as possible - we suggest around 7am.
* Do not ride camels here or the donkeys - they are treated very poorly and you will have plenty of chances to take pictures (for free) in Wadi Rum
* Local guides will charge you anything from 10-40 JD to take you up to the Treasury view point but as we showed you in this video - you can do it on your own
* Make sure to wear nice hiking shoes because the day will be long (we spent 10hrs and saw maybe 2/3 or even less)
* A lot of scams and fake jewellery is being sold on the premisses of Petra
* DO NOT follow stranger if you are alone to “Secret caves” - it’s a common sense but just DO NOT!

I was harassed in Petra as soon as I went through the first turnstile, and in this video is a side of Petra that they don’t show you.
