It's a very popular and picturesque tourist resort with narrow cobbled streets and a beautiful castle, crammed between the blue, crustal clear lake waters and the imposing mountain ridge behind called Monte Baldo, that watches over the town.
Also called the olive grove shore” thanks to the myriad of olives that can be seen everywhere in that region, Malcesine is a true gem of Lago di Garda. A must-visit when you travel to Italy since it's the perfect location for a good Italy road trip and for those seeking a more local experience on Lake Garda.
In our walking tour of Malcesine we visit the old town and walk through the cobbled lanes, full of shops and restaurants, and just take in and enjoy the ambiance and the peaceful vibes of this Italian town. We visit the new port as well as the old port. We check out the most beautiful squares where you can have a nice lunch or dinner. We can't miss paying a visit to the historic castle, called Castello Scaligero, where we can see some amazing views of the lake Garda and the whole town of Malcesine, and its surroundings. This is also where we end our city tour.

While walking in Bardolino and spending a whole day there I can truly say that it is one of the most enchanting villages on Lake Garda. Art and tradition are brought together to create a fun, wonderful world in which you just wanna immerse yourself and be surprised by the harmony of its colors.
The large promenade is the best place to go for a walk and watch the sunset. It is the perfect way to end a day, before heading over to your hotel room. Or explore the nightlife of Bardolino.
When you're planning your trip to Italy I strongly recommend setting aside a few days for Lake Garda. It is located 25 kilometers northwest of Verona, so it is very easy and fast to reach. A complete Italy tour has to include Lago di Garda.

this is our first walk tour in our channel. after patiently waiting the days for our camera and gimbal, they finally arrived today. so we went out for a walk and thought of doing our first walk tour to non other than the beautiful city of Desenzano del Garda.... where we are resident for almost 2 years already, so i guess there is no better place to start our tour than on our own town....
Desenzano del Garda is a town and comune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, Italy, on the southwestern shore of Lake Garda. It borders the communes of Castiglione delle Stiviere, Lonato, Padenghe sul Garda and Sirmione.
in this tour we'll see
-the coastline of Desenzano del Garda , a stroll along the coastline of the town is recomended because it is a picturesque town between mountain range and italy's largest lake the Lake Garda.
-from this stroll we will arrive at the new port (Porto Nuovo) where the lighthouse is located
-to the old port ( Porto Vecchio)
-the city center
-and the Castle Ricetto.
