Peru Market Cusco ????????

■ PERU, CUSCO; In Bolivia many market vendors do not want to sell what's in their store to you. So what about Peru? Things couldn't be more different. Whilst many Peruvians also don't speak the Queen's english, they do their utmost to make you feel welcome in their stores and explain the meaning behind their native statues, knitted Llama shirts and all the other goods they specialize in.

Shopping at Cusco's native market in the center of the city was therefore and incredibly pleasant experience. But what about the prices? Can you get some bargains here? And what goods do they sell? And what about the quality? Join me on this bargain market tour of my first Peruvian shopping experience. . .

Extreme STREET FOOD Tour in Cusco, Peru - CORN BEER PORK CHOP + Crazy Spicy Chilies Tour!

????Epic Peruvian Seafood in Lima:
????T-shirts and caps:
????Mark Wiens Banana Chips - Worldwide Shipping Available Now:

CUSCO, PERU - This was a fully unplanned street food tour of Cusco, Peru, we just set off in the morning and decided to eat what we could find, visit some markets, and just enjoy the really local food of Cusco, Peru. It turned out to be an amazing day, full of surprises, friendly people, and delicious Andes food! #Cusco #Peru #PeruvianFood

Quinoa - This is a very popular breakfast in Cusco, which is a seed of a flower, rich in nutrients, and native to the Andean region. It’s made into a drinkable porridge with fruit. We also tried Maca, a Peruvian ginseng, used as traditional medicine in the Andes. Price - 1 PEN ($0.30) per cup

Mercado de Wanchaq - We then headed over to the market, bought some Rocoto chilies (Scoville scale: 50,000 – 250,000 SHU), and headed to the food court section. I was interested in trying an Andean dish call Chairo - Freeze dried potato stew. Price - 3 PEN ($0.91) per bowl

Kapchi de habas - Somewhere on a street corner in Cusco, we then tried a dish of fava beans with potato and cauliflower, I think a bit of cheese in there too. With a sprinkle of tomatoes and rocoto chili, it was delicious. 4 PEN ($1.22) Price per bowl

Peruvian pork adobo - Pork stewed in chicha (corn beer) - But nothing in the day compared to the ultimate dish - Peruvian adobo stew, with an entire pork chop stewed in local corn beer with rocoto chilies. It’s delicious, and very very porky. 11 PEN ($3.34) - Price per bowl

San Pedro Market - Next we headed over to San Pedro Market, which is one of the most famous and well known markets in Cusco, Peru. The food court is astounding, and there’s so much to choose from.

Tarwi - Species of Andean Lupin. If not prepared correctly, it’s poisonous from bitter alkaloids. 5 PEN ($1.52) - Price per plate

Trucha Frita - Fried trout plate. 5 PEN ($1.52) - Price per plate

Avocado and Mango - Perfect fruit shake. 6 PEN ($1.82) - Price per shake

Peruvian Chicharron - Finally to end this Peruvian street food tour of Cusco, Peru, we couldn’t miss chicharron, Peruvian style fried pork served with fried potatoes. It was all you could ever want in fried pork, oily and delicious. 10 PEN ($3.04) - Price per plate

South American Food - EXOTIC DELICACY in Cusco, Peru! | Peruvian Food Tour!

????Epic Peruvian Seafood in Lima:
????T-shirts and caps:
????Mark Wiens Banana Chips - Worldwide Shipping Available Now:

Eating Guinea Pigs in the Andes Mountains regions of South America is a long and special tradition. They’ve been raised and eaten for thousands of years, and to this day, they remain very popular, and reserved for special meals. The city of Cusco, Peru, and the surrounding areas is one of the best places in Peru to eat guinea pig, known locally as cuy. #Cusco #Peru #PeruvianFood

In this Peruvian cuy tour, we ate three different guinea pigs in a row:

1. San Pedro Market - Right in the heart of Cusco is San Pedro Market, a wonderful Peruvian food market with everything you can imagine. In the morning you’ll find quite a few vendors selling to-go guinea pigs. We had this first, but it wasn’t the best of the day.

2. Tipón, Peru - For our guinea pig number two we drove to Tipón, a town that claims to be a “National Capital of Delicious Baked Guinea Pig.” We headed straight for Cuyeria Monica, where she baked a fresh cuy, bubbled the skin, and served us the full cuy Peruvian food plates. Fresh out of the oven, with the crispy skin, it was incredibly delicious. 35 PEN ($10.61) - Price per cuy

3. Cuyeria Sol Moqueguano - Back to the center of Cusco, we tried a famous restaurant for cuy, Cuyeria Sol Moqueguano, where they have both baked and deep fried. This was an incredible meal, the deep fried version was sensational. The entire plate, including the sausage and rocoto relleno, was outstanding. 42 PEN ($12.73) - Per per cuy

It was a fantastic Peruvian food day in Cusco, and a learning experience.

SUNDAY PISAC MARKET | Sacred Valley of the Incas | Cusco Day Trip to Pisac Peru

Part 1 of our day trip to Pisac, Peru.

Today, we boarded a colectivo (shared bus) to do one of the most popular Cusco Day Trips, a day visit to Pisac Market. This Cusco to Pisac ride costs only 5 Peruvian Soles, or less than 1.50 USD!

The Market in Pisac is considered to be one of the must visits in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It's the the biggest market in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Due to its popularity, this market in Pisac happens three times a week (Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays). But the Sunday Pisac Market is still the best day to experience this colorful place.

At 11 am, they have a Catholic mass at the Iglesia de San Pedro Apostol, the main church in Pisac. The mass is in the Quechua language, and locals show up in colorful traditional Andean clothing.

We also visited the Horno Colonial San Francisco, one of the communal ovens in town. It is a clay oven, mainly to cook cui (guinea pig) or empanadas. A very interesting scene to check out in Pisaq!

This is part 1 of our Pisac Day Trip, which only includes the Pisac Market on Sunday. Part 2 is coming up next, which will take you on a two-hour hike to the Pisac Ruins.

For more on Day trip to Pisac from Cusco, tips on what to do and what to expect, check out our blog post: Day Trip To Pisac From Cusco – See The Pisac Market and Ruins

Peru Market Machu Picchu: Silver and Ponchos ????????

■ MACHU PICCHU, PERU: When people hear Machu Picchu, they probably don't think of shopping, but there is nevertheless a market there as soon as you get off the train and start wandering towards either the ruins or your hotel. So naturally I felt compelled to go and check out what was on sale plus gauge the prices there vis-a-vis other markets in Cusco and Bolivia.

To say that the prices shocked me would be understatement of the year.... this is by far the priciest market I've visited in South America but they did indeed have some nice things for sale. Bargains though, they were not, as many vendors would not budge even one Soles. That made for a pretty entertaining back and forths...

San Pedro Market in Cusco, Peru ???????? *AMAZING*

The San Pedro Market in Cusco, Peru is one of the cheapest places to shop! For the last couple of days that I've been in Cusco I've been heading into the San Pedro market to drink myself an amazing freshly made juice. I've made really good friends with the juice lady here and zI come by to visit here every morning after the gym, as she makes me 3 cups of freshly squeezed juice for around 1 USD. The San Pedro Market in Cusco is one of my favorite markets in the world and I highly recommend that you visit when visiting Cusco. I Hope you enjoy this video and I hope to see you on some of my many other Peru travel vlogs.

PERU: ULTIMATE San Pedro Market + STREET FOOD Tour in Cusco | Peru 2019 Vlog

San Pedro Market in Cusco, Peru as some of the best street food, groceries and incredible gifts. #Cusco #Peru #PeruvianFood #streetfood

The San Pedro Market in Cusco, Peru is very close to Plaza De Armas. It's about a 10 minute walk.

Peru is know for having some of the world’s great cuisines, and we were so excited have a chance to visit Peru to learn about and taste the food. In this video, get ready for an ultimate tour of San Pedro Market and all her glory ..including her street food.

Here’s everything included in this tour:
*** I mispronounced the fruit smoothie I had it's not Lume it's Lúcuma, or in Quechua Lucma which is a native Andean fruit, with a flavor that is deep and reminiscent of meat or some say sweet potato like, while still sweet and fruity. Peruvian government has named it a signature fruit of Peru.

San Pedro Market - If you love vegetable markets, I don’t think anywhere else in Cusco is as colorful, energetic, and vibrant. This place is unreal we fully enjoyed walking around and seeing the diversity of ingredients from around Peru all in one busy wholesale Market.
Breakfast and Coffee - We can't remember the name of the shop but there's a section specifically for breakfast and coffee. Just ask for the cream sandwich made from the milk. They'll know what you're talking about.

Smoothies - There is a section dedicated to smoothies. Many stands worked by women who will basically shake a menu in your face to get you to order from their stand which all had numbers in front.. It's pretty incredible how this is done. The smoothie I had was made with the Amazon fruit called Lucma, con leche. Dave had a mango and passion fruit smoothie. Both extremely fresh tasting and delicious. Highly recommended.

Ceviche- This is one of the most common of all Peru street food. Ceviche is caught daily and should always be consumed by early afternoon. We were impressed with how fresh tasting the fish was. We didn't have ceviche at the San Pedro Market but a place called Cevicheria & Tiburoncito was pretty busy so we're assuming it's good.

Caldos de Gallina
The chicken soup they served here was huge. They put all kinds of tasty ingredients and spices along with the chicken and sometimes they even serve that chicken with the feet. So if you don't want to see chicken feet in your soup then go ahead and tell them when you place your order that you don't want the feet. Maybe you like the feet. We don't.

Textiles - There are so many stations of textiles for you to chose. Don't be afraid to negotiate on the prices. They shops all start their prices high, especially if they know you're a gringo. So definitely do some negotiating. They totally expect that.

In this video we'll give you some great tips and advice if you and/or family plan to visit San Pedro Market.
