Edited along the timeline of our 3 week trip through Peru & Bolivia.
It's a classic touristic trip but it was definitely wonderful. My focus was to highlight the beauty and the individual feel of the places.
It's my very first travel video, I picked up the camera on the day of the flight and there is a lot to learn still.

Titicaca Copacabana, Bolivia-Peru 4K
Lake Titicaca is a large, deep lake in the Andes on the border of Bolivia and Peru, often called the highest navigable lake in the world. By volume of water and by surface area, it is the largest lake in South America. Lake Maracaibo has a larger surface area, but it is a tidal bay, not a lake.
Lake Titicaca has a surface elevation of 3,812 metres (12,507 ft). The highest navigable lake claim is generally considered to refer to commercial craft. Numerous smaller bodies of water around the world are at higher elevations. For many years the largest vessel afloat on the lake was the 2,200-ton, 79-metre (259 ft) SS Ollanta. Today the largest vessel is most likely the similarly sized train barge/float Manco Capac, operated by PeruRail.
Titicaca je jezero v Centrálních Andách. Západní část jezera patří Peru, východní část Bolívii. Je to největší jezero v Jižní Americe a největší vysokohorské jezero a zároveň nejvýše položené jezero s pravidelnou (komerční) lodní dopravou na Zemi. Nachází se na Altiplanu, náhorní plošině And. Propadlina jezera je tektonického původu a jezero samotné je pozůstatkem obrovského zaniklého jezera Ballivián. Má rozlohu 8562 km². Je 204 km dlouhé a maximálně 65 km široké. Průměrně je hluboké 107 m a dosahuje maximální hloubky 283 m (i když někteří domorodci tvrdí, že je bezedné). Leží v nadmořské výšce 3812 m. Objem vody dosahuje 893 km³.

Copacabana, Lago Titicaca (Bolivia) 4K
Copacabana es una pequeña ciudad turística y un municipio de Bolivia y una de las principales localidades ribereñas del lago Titicaca. Es la capital de la provincia de Manco Kapac, ubicada en el departamento de La Paz. Está ubicada a 155 km de la ciudad de La Paz. Es un centro de peregrinación por hallarse en la misma la imagen de la Virgen de Copacabana, la advocación mariana más extendida en Bolivia.
La ciudad, construida entre los cerros Calvario y Niño Calvario (o Kesanani), tiene cerca de 6 mil habitantes. Se constituye la capital del Municipio homónimo, el cual abarca 33 comunidades campesinas originarias, con un total aproximado de 15 mil habitantes. Sin embargo la población urbana de Copacabana solo es de 3000 habitantes aproximadamente, lo que significa una población rural de 12 000 habitantes. Copacabana es famosa en todo el país por sus celebraciones religiosas, su patrimonio cultural y sus fiestas tradicionales.
Copacabana significa mirador del azul en lengua quechua, descendientes de los incas que habitaban la región del sur del lago Titicaca, desde donde fue llevada la imagen de Nuestra Señora de Copacabana. Kapa significa ‘claro, sereno, alegre’, y kahuana quiere decir ‘lugar cómodo, conveniente, desde donde se puede ver a lo lejos, que ofrece una bella vista’. Ese nombre fue castellanizado como Copacabana. Así se llamaba un sitio de adoración inca a orillas del Titicaca que los conquistadores ibéricos transformaron en un sitio de celebración cristiana.

Copacabana is a small town located on the shore of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia.
Completed in 1619, Copacabana Cathedral is one of Bolivia's oldest churches.
Lake titicaca(lago de titicaca) location : Lake Titicaca is located on the border between Bolivia and Peru. It is considered to be the highest navigable lake in the world. (3821m). Copacabana located at titicaca Bolivia side.
Covering an area of 8300 square kilometers, Lake Titicaca is the largest lake in South America.

Founded in 1548 as Nuestra Señora de La Paz (“Our Lady of Peace”) by the conquistador Captain Alonso de Mendoza on the site of an Inca village, the city was renamed La Paz de Ayacucho in 1825, in commemoration of the last decisive battle in the wars of independence. The seat of national government was established there in 1898, but Sucre remains Bolivia’s constitutional capital, home to the country’s Supreme Court; La Paz is the seat of the executive and legislative branches. The Plaza Murillo, on the northeastern side of the river, is the heart of the city and site of the huge modern cathedral and government and legislative palaces. Although few colonial buildings survive, the narrow, steep, older streets, red-tile roofs, many skyscrapers, and highland Indians in colourful dress, with Nevado Illimani (21,004 feet [6,402 metres]) and other snowcapped peaks of the Cordillera Real in the background, give La Paz a distinctive atmosphere. La Paz is the site of the University of San Andrés (1830) and Bolivian Catholic University (1966). The National Museum of Art, a children’s museum, the Museum of Ethnography and Folklore, the National Museum of Archaeology, and the Mercado de Brujas (“Witches’ Market”), where herbs and other remedies used by the Aymara are sold, are among the city’s cultural assets. The city was hit by an earthquake in 1998 that killed hundreds of residents and destroyed many buildings.
Set at a staggering 3,600 metres above sea level, La Paz is likely to literally take your breath away. To help your body adjust to the altitude, get your hands on some coca tea and take it easy for a couple of days. To truly explore this crazy city, you’re going to need your strength!
La Paz’ markets are a great place to pick up South American souvenirs, though some rather wackier than others. The Witch’s market is thus named for all the weird and wonderful concoctions sold at the stalls there.
You can find a potion for every purpose, from ‘follow me’ dust to attract new partners, to ‘repel me’ powder to rid yourself of unwanted attention.
La Paz is fast becoming a must-visit destination on the South American gringo trail, partly due to its convenient location between many of Bolivia and Peru’s greatest sites. But this bustling metropolis at a breathtaking 11,600 feet (3,600 meters) above sea level has plenty of worthwhile attractions of its own. Let’s take a look at the top 20 things to see and do in what was recently declared one of the New Seven Wonder Cities of the world.
Cochabamba (Bolivia) 4K
Cochabamba es una ciudad boliviana, capital de la provincia Cercado y del departamento homónimo. Se encuentra situada en el centro del país, en el valle central del departamento. Tiene una población de 1 136 066 habitantes en el área metropolitana (según Censo 2012), llamado la Región metropolitana de Kanata a la cual pertenece junto a los municipios de Sacaba, Quillacollo, Colcapirhua, Tiquipaya, Vinto y Sipe Sipe.
Posee un clima seco y templado. Las temperaturas en invierno no bajan más de 10 °C y en verano no suben más de 30 °C.
Cochabamba se encuentra en un valle de tierra fértil y productiva a 2,558m de altura. La ciudad, rodeada por campos de cultivos y valiosos vestigios preincaicos e incaicos, conserva su personalidad virreinal.
Cochabamba recibe y ha recibido diferentes apodos vinculados a su vegetación: “La ciudad jardín” y “la ciudad de la eterna primavera”.
El centro de la ciudad, alrededor de sitios como la Plaza Colón o Plaza 14 de septiembre, es generalmente de una arquitectura moderna, contrastante con los numerosos vestigios urbanísticos coloniales y republicanos diseminados por toda la urbe.
Cuenta con diversas templos y conventos que muestran la ferviente fe católica que profesan sus habitantes. Entre los templos, cabe señalar como la más representativa a la Catedral construida a principios del siglo XVIII, sobre la base de un antiguo templo del siglo XVI, que se encuentra ubicada en la Plaza 14 de Septiembre, siendo uno de los símbolos característicos de la ciudad, denominada Catedral Metropolitana desde 1975. Así mismo, se destacan el templo de Santo Domingo, el templo y Convento de San Francisco, el templo de la Compañía de Jesús, el templo y convento de Santa Teresa, el templo y Convento de Santa Clara de estilo neo-gótico, el templo del Hospicio, y el templo San Juan de Dios, que era parte del antiguo hospital de la ciudad.
Del mismo modo el centro de la ciudad conserva el típico aire colonial que es contrastado con los avances arquitectónicos y construcciones modernas que van dando paso a una nueva fisonomía de la ciudad, sin duda el crecimiento vertical que está sufriendo la ciudad se debe en gran parte a los progresos y mejoras económicas que muestra en general todo el departamento.
Uno de los edificios representativos de la ciudad Cochabamba es el edificio Colón, que se encuentra en la plaza homónima, de casi 100 m de altura. También destaca, entre otros edificios llamativos, el conglomerado de edificios llamado Torres Sófer, en el que se encuentra un centro comercial y las instalaciones de un supermercado que abastece de productos a la zona norte y al centro de la ciudad.
Entre los atractivos naturales de Cochabamba puede destacarse el parque Tunari, situado a escasa distancia de la ciudad y que constituye un pulmón verde para la misma. Igualmente, se encuentra la laguna Alalay en la zona sur, la cual, como el citado parque, es un enclave rico en fauna y flora.
El Cristo de la Concordia es una estatua monumental de Jesucristo, que se encuentra sobre el cerro de San Pedro en la ciudad de Cochabamba, Bolivia, a una altura de 265 metros sobre la ciudad. La estatua mide 34,20 metros de altura, sobre un pedestal de 6,24 metros, con una altura total de 40,44 m. La estatua es ligeramente más pequeña que la estatua de Estatua de Cristo Rey (Świebodzin), (36 metros contando los dos metros de la corona) y es más alta que la estatua de Cristo Redentor en Río de Janeiro, que tiene 30 m, lo que la convierte en la segunda estatua de Jesús más grande del mundo.

La ciudad de La Paz, oficialmente Nuestra Señora de La Paz, es la sede de gobierno y capital administrativa de Bolivia. Es el centro político, financiero, social, académico y cultural más importante del país, además de ser la ciudad más desarrollada y con mayor calidad de vida en Bolivia. Con una población estimada de 940.000 habitantes, en 2020, La Paz es la tercera ciudad más poblada del país, detrás de Santa Cruz de la Sierra y El Alto. Sin embargo el área metropolitana de La Paz, que incluye a los municipios vecinos de El Alto, Viacha, Achocalla, Mecapaca, Palca, Laja y Pucarani, es la más poblada del país, llegando a tener una población estimada de 2,1 millones de habitantes en 2020.
Ubicada en el oeste de Bolivia, a 68 km al sureste del lago Titicaca, La Paz está situada en un cañón creado por el río Choqueyapu y está rodeada por las altas montañas del altiplano, entre ellas el nevado Illimani, cuya silueta ha sido un emblema importante de la ciudad desde su fundación. A una altura promedio de 3650 m s. n. m., La Paz es la metropoli más alta del mundo. Esta característica junto a la topografía accidentada de la urbe ofrecen vistas únicas de la Cordillera Real. Debido a esta elevación, La Paz tiene un clima subtropical de altura, con veranos lluviosos e inviernos secos.
La Paz fue fundada el 20 de octubre de 1548 por el capitán español Alonso de Mendoza en el asentamiento inca de Laja con el nombre de Nuestra Señora de La Paz, en conmemoración a la pacificación de las guerras civiles en el Virreinato del Perú. La ciudad fue trasladada posteriormente a su ubicación actual en el valle de Chuquiago Marka. La Paz fue inicialmente controlada por el dominio español del Virreinato del Río de la Plata como una ciudad de tránsito establecida en la ruta comercial entre Potosí y Lima. Posteriormente la ciudad experimentó numerosas revueltas a favor de su independencia, siendo las más importantes la revuelta de 1781, cuando el líder indígena Túpac Katari sitió la ciudad por seis meses, y la del 16 de julio de 1809, cuando el patriota Pedro Domingo Murillo inició una revolución en la ciudad, dando inicio a las guerras de independencia hispanoamericanas.
Como capital administrativa y sede de Gobierno de Bolivia, La Paz alberga el Palacio Quemado y la Casa Grande del Pueblo, sedes del Poder Ejecutivo boliviano, el Palacio de la Asamblea Legislativa Plurinacional, sede del Poder Legislativo, el Tribunal Supremo Electoral, máxima instancia del Poder Electoral y la vasta mayoría de las entidades gubernamentales. En La Paz se encuentran asentadas todas las embajadas extranjeras acreditadas en Bolivia.
