???????? What to do in Aruba! ???? - Aruba Cruise Port Tour
We get lots of questions about what to expect at the Aruba cruise port. To help you plan your trip we are going to tell you everything you need to know about the Aruba cruise port . Stay tuned to find out what we thought and how you can prepare for your day in Aruba.
The arrivals and departures are very easy at the Oranjestad Aruba cruise port. There are 4 spots for ships, you will be docked at berth B, C, F or G all of which are close together.It is not a far walk to the terminal building or out of the port, it only takes about 5 minutes which is awesome. Being that it is not a large dock there were not any trams. If you are interested in an Aruba tour there are companies right at the port offering Aruba cruise excursions. Just remember to leave lots of time to get back to the port as the cruise ship will not wait. You can always book an excursion with the cruise line and they will wait.
The Aruba cruise port is really a jumping off point to start your Aruba trip. There aren't any restaurants or bars at the cruise port, I think that is because you are just a just a short walk from the restaurants, shops and bars downtown. Most people will be going there instead of staying at the port. So when planning your Aruba trip you will want to think about exploring outside of the port.
In our Aruba cruise port guide we also talk about what is near the port so you have some ideas. If you are interested in exploring the island on your own the public buses are affordable and stop at many beaches, taxes are also a great way to explore the island. If you are interested in shopping the town of Oranjestad is right outside the port. Some of the other common places to visit in the downtown area are the Archaeological Museum of Aruba, the Fort Zoutman Historical Museum, and the Renaissance Mall and Marketplace. As we said you can book your Aruba cruise excursions with the cruise line, explore on your own or book at the port. The top 5 beaches in aruba are Eagle Beach, Baby beach, Palm Beach, Arashi and Druif Beach. I'm usually all for walking but it seemed like a bit too much of a walk in the heat of the day so I would recommend taking a taxi or the bus instead. So when thinking about Aruba things to do, you have lots of options from a chill beach day, shopping or a more extreme excursion.

Beautiful San Juan Puerto Rico ???????????????? Caribbean Cruise Ports
San Juan Puerto Rico is one of the busiest Caribbean Cruise Ports. Lots of cruise lines visits here including Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruises, Princess, Celebrity Cruises and a bunch of others. We're going to give you a tour of what you’ll experience here if you decide to walk around the port. This can help you to understand if you should pick an excursion or not. Stay tuned to find out what we thought and how you can prepare for your day in San Juan.
We have a variety of cruise ports videos and we organize them into categories. We review arrivals and departures, port atmosphere, food and dining, what is near the port, what you need to bring and our overall thoughts.
The San Juan Puerto Rico Cruise port is very popular with around 500 cruise ships stopping here every year. There can be up to 7 cruise ships here at once between the 4 piers, and 2 cruise terminal buildings. For some cruisers this will be a port of call on their itinerary while others it will be the homeport to start and end their cruise. There is no need to tender with the 4 piers.
San juan is the capital and largest city in Puerto Rico.The pier is close to downtown, but there is not much at the pier. This is not a manufactured Port like Costa Maya .As you exit the terminal building or get to the end of the pier there is a main street you will walk up to get to the old city, along the road there are local vendors set up selling their products. The cruise port is in a great location just a few blocks from historic old San Juan.

Part 1 - Royal Caribbean Cruise Arriving in St Lucia - Docking - Day 4
March 2011 we arrive in St Lucia. What a wonderful place.
We had another ship behind us. The ship had to make a 180 degree turn to dock.
Got a chance to film both sides of cove as we came in.
A plane takes off - boats leaving for the day and much more.
What a great place to visit - we had the best day ashore touring the Island.
This was the best day of the entire cruise.
Took a Cosol Tour ran by a very nice man named Cosol.
It looks overcast - it was hot yet breezy and comfortable the entire day.

Our second stop was the Island of St Lucia.

In this video we see many great sites of St. Lucia
- Beach next to the Petit Piton.
- Stops along the road back to Ship.
- Marigot Bay where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean and Dr Dolittle.
- Overlook of the Port and many ships docked.
- More refreshments also fresh hot bread with cheese.
This is the best Island Tour we have ever been on. We have been on more than a few.
Cosol Tours - we researched and found many good reviews for this tour group. We sent an email and received a prompt response and booked it. We were lucky enough to have a private car for our tour - the mini bus tours were having lots of fun as well.
We left the port at 8:30am and returned at 4:00pm.
For the money and experience and service there is no better tour company than Cosol Tours.
We were well looked after. Breakfast of very good local foods, made by a wonderful lady, Claudia. More than enough for everyone including drivers/guides
Beer/refreshment van was at every major stop and there were many stops. We were all well looked after.
I can not say enough wonderful things about this experience or our driver/tour guide Alex.
This exceeded all our expectations. Other tours could learn much from this wonderful group of individuals.
Many thanks for your time and patience Alex and everyone else involved.

A timelapse video shot from the Carnival Freedom cruise ship as she arrives in Castries, St Lucia.
It's interesting how the video appears almost black & white at the beginning, due to clouds and the direction of the sun... and by the end of the video all the colors come alive, not unlike something out of The Wizard Of Oz.
Notice the arrival of the pilot boat about 13 seconds in to the video. After dropping off the local pilot (who helps guide the ship in to port safely) you see the pilot boat leave a few seconds later.
A little more than a minute in to the video, the Captain turns on the side thrusters in order to spin the ship 180 degrees around. You can see the sand that is kicked up by the thrusters. Once the ship has spun around, it is in the right position for an easy straight-out departure later in the day.
This was shot from the balcony of our cabin on the Carnival Freedom. The metal structure you see in the upper left corner of the video is simply the edge of the balcony's ceiling. This was one stop on a 12-day Caribbean cruise.
This time lapse video was shot with a HTC One smartphone using the Framelapse Pro app. There is no audio track.

If you're traveling by cruise ship and happen to be docking in the Pointe Seraphine Cruise Port in St. Lucia, there are a few things that you should know. First, I would highly recommend booking an excursion through the cruise line. If that's not an option, then be sure to grab a taxi.
We tried to walk into town because it was just one mile away. The cab drivers will actually walk with you, giving you tips on where to go in an effort to score a ride. At one point, we were surrounded by 5 taxi drivers who wouldn't take no for an answer. I've gotta be honest, it's no way to start the day.
Once we got through all the madness, we did finally stumble upon some pretty cool spots.
My favorite was the Immaculate Conception Church. It's ranked as the 13th Top Thing To Do by TripAdvisor. It has some amazing artwork and is commonly known as the largest Church in the Caribbean.
We also loved Derek Walcott Square and Castries Central Market.
