Le complexe WAP est un site présentant une biodiversité d’une très grande importance en raison des facteurs suivants
: (i) le plus important continuum d’écosystèmes terrestres, semi-aquatiques et aquatiques de la ceinture de savane d’Afrique de l’ouest
, (ii) le territoire le plus significatif pour la conservation des éléphants dans toute la sous-région d’Afrique de l’ouest, (iii) le
refuge naturel le plus viable disponible aux espèces d’animaux vulnérables et /ou menacés au Bénin, au Burkina Faso et au Niger, (iv) un réseau de terres humides d’une grande importance.
HIDDEN GEM IN NIAMEY NIGER (SAFARI PARC) | EPISODE 2
In episode 2, as I continue to explore Niamey, my friends and I spent the day at this hidden gem located about 10km outside of the city called Safari Parc. This park offers family friendly activities including Jet Skiing, Paint-balling, boat rides and many other activities. Unfortunately due to a massive flood that Safari Parc experienced just a few months prior to my visit, many of these activities were not available . Despite being in full rebuilding mode, I was still allowed to come and experience this BEAUTIFUL hidden Gem.hope you guys enjoy this video.

Wildlife in Pendjari National Park, Benin (February 2012)
Some clips of a 2-day visit to Pendjari National Park in northern Benin during February 2012. Unfortunately, I had a much less fancy camera back then, but I think the video gives a good impression of this beautiful nature reserve. You will see African Elephants, Hippos, Western Buffaloes, Kob, Defassa Waterbuck, Bushbuck, Roan Antelope, Western Hartebeest, Olive Baboon, Patas Monkey, Warthogs, Nile Crocodiles, and some birds (e.g., Denham's Bustard, Black Crowned Crane, Abyssinian Roller, Marabou Stork, and African Fish Eagle). I wish I could travel there again!

The Yankari Game Reserve is a large wildlife park located in Bauchi State, in northeastern Nigeria. You can find there African bush elephants, different monkeys, antelopes, buffalo, water- and bushbucks and hippopotamus. We went there 1982 with a car, when I lived in Warri, Nigeria.

Sable Antelope live in wooded savannah where they eat mid-length grass and leaves. They are diurnal but are less active during the heat of the day. Sable Antelope form herds of ten to thirty females and calves led by a single male. Sable Antelope males will fight among themselves; they drop to their knees and use their great sweeping horns.
