Kerala is one of the most beautiful states in India for traveling and a road trip. In this series we are going to cover 5 main destinations by road - Wayanad, Athirapally falls, Vagamon, Varkala, and Alleppey. In this episode, I'm in Varkala, with some of the best beaches! It has places like black sand beach, and North Cliff, restaurants like Inda Cafe and Kerala God's Own Country Kitchen.
I actually traveled to Kerala from Karnataka and took an RT-PCR negative report with me while travelling and in this episode, I stayed at Cliff Stories, which is a really nice place for relaxing and staying at. ????

Varkala Cliff is our first destination in this vlog - we visited and took a tour of the cliff which is lined with a plethora of cafes, restaurants, resorts, hotels and shops. Varkala Cliff is the most happening and scenic place in Varkala.
The second destination is the Darjeeling cafe - which is the most happening cafe in Varkala. Darjeeling Cafe offers the best views of the Varkala beach, especially during the sunset in the evening. The food and the ambience are extremely delightful. Do try their Buddha Bowl.
Paravur Mangrove Forest was our third destination in the Varkala Vlog. We went to Paravur Mangrove Forest to try kayaking in the mangroves. It’s definitely a must-try in Varkala. We did this activity with a company called Paravur Mangrove Adventures. It’s a 10 on 10 and a highly recommended experience.
Jatayu Earth’s Centre is our forth destination in the Varkala Vlog Part 1. Jatayu Earth’s Centre has become the most famous attraction in Varkala Kerala. You can witness the largest bird statue in the world here and can only access this place through a cable car ride.

At a distance of 8 km from Varkala, and 18 km from Kollam, Kappil Beach is a gorgeous beach situated at Kappil near Varkala. Along the coast of the Arabian Sea, it is one of the lesser known beaches in Kerala, and among the top Varkala tourist places.
The Kappil Beach consists of at least one kilometer of sand that forms a spit between the Arabian Sea and the waters of Edava-Nadayara Lake. Surrounded by coconut palms, a narrow rocky stretch soon gives way to golden sands. The pristine Kappil Beach is an ideal blend of the backwaters and sea. Watching beautiful orange sunsets while dipping your toes in the pristine waters of the sea from the untouched sandy beaches of Kappil is one of the most calming and soothing things to do in Varkala.
Tourists can spend quality time at this place by indulging in some beach activities or by strolling along the seashore. It's a calm and peaceful beach where you can enjoy picnicking with your family or friends. The beach is extremely admired by beach lovers or honeymoon couples. The natural beauty and soothing atmosphere make this place a favorite destination for those who like holidaying in a place that is free from the crowd.
Also known as Kappil Lake, Edava-Nadayara Lake is a huge freshwater lake situated just adjacent to the beach. This smooth waterway rolls gracefully and intermixes with the Arabian Sea. A bridge built across the lake faces the seductive scenery of the lake stepping towards the blue horizon. One of the most delightful activities one can try here is boating where visitors can enjoy the picturesque view and the tranquil ambiance can soothe the nerves. Tourists can take a quiet 30-minute boat ride or rent a pedal boat from Priyadarshini Boat Club to search through this poised waterway. This is the perfect place for photo fanatics, nature lovers, nirvana seekers.

The stunning Thalikulam Snehatheeram Beach is located about 25 km or 1 hour ride from Thrissur and is loved for its natural ambience and wonderful visuals of the coast. It is one of the best maintained beaches in Kerala. The sunsets are especially lovely and people flock here in large numbers to enjoy the view. Children throng to the nearby park and occasionally there are musical performances at the nearby stage. It has a welcoming vibe at all times and is a highly recommended tourist spot in the area.

Varkala beach is one of the most unique places to visit in Kerala - its speciality being that it is the only cliff beach in Kerala. Just picture a long rustic beach surrounded by red-rock cliffs over a calming blue sea. Its called the GOA of kerala.
On top of the cliff, we overlooked the sea .With beautiful sunsets,breath taking views,amazing food and a cozy cottage we had an amazing time.
