PUERTO VIEJO, AN AFFORDABLE VACATION! (COSTA RICA)
Puerto Viejo is a much cheaper Caribbean vacation alternative than any place I visited in all of the Caribbean side of Mexico. I made videos from Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Akumal, Playa Del Carmen, Cozumel, Tulum and Mahahual which covered the whole Quintana Roo coast of Mexico and the Yucatan peninsula. I could not stay for as cheap in any of those locations compared to Puerto Viejo. I also traveled along the Oaxaca coast in Mexico and could not stay for as cheap there even in the famous place of Puerto Escondido and Huatulco. Puerto Viejo is a hidden paradise in my opinion.
The rest of Costa Rica had been expensive but the Carribean side was much cheaper than any place i visited in Costa Rica.

We made it to the world's FRIENDLIEST jungle! We landed in Costa Rica super late on our first night, so we booked a hotel close to the airport and decided to head out early the next day. After a 5-6 hour drive to Puerto Viejo (the Caribbean side of the country), we checked into our Bali-inspired Airbnb and explored the nearest beach. The next day, we toured some hidden gems around town and watched the most majestic sunset. Oh and the food... I swear I could eat Caribbean food everyday. I really can. It's so healthy, fresh, wholesome, and just simply divine. Stay tuned for part two!

Exploring Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica: local food, Manzanillo and sunset spots
In this video I'm taking you guys along on a full day of exploration of the beautiful towns of Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo in the southern Caribbean shore of Costa Rica. I'll be trying local food, make bamboo straws, go to a local laundry and end the day on a secluded tropical beach. A Week In Puerto Viejo de Talamanca l Costa Rica
In this video I arrive in Puerto Viejo to discover the southern Caribbean part of Costa Rica. I explore a national park, the beaches, the town and I get caught in a tropical rainstorm while biking.
On my last video, I travelled around Puntarenas and Monteverde on my first week back in Costa Rica. After that, I went to my tica mom’s place to leave on a girls trip to Puerto Viejo the next day. The road trip was nice, but arriving in Puerto Viejo felt like entering another country, the reggae, the palm trees, the layed back vibe… it was paradise, I felt like I was finally where I had wanted to go since I was in Costa Rica in 2020. Plus, we were staying at a nice eco resort and it felt even more like paradise. My family had been there before, so they showed me around.

A HIDDEN CARIBBEAN DESTINATION (PUERTO VIEJO)
I had been in the small town of Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica and today I would go out for a long bike ride and explore the coast. I almost made it to the border of Costa Rica and Panama.

Hey Friends! Welcome to Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica! There are many things to see and do on the Caribbean coast but I was here for a very short and relaxing time before heading to Panama!
I found this Waterfall that attracted hardly any tourists and just had a great night with some people from the hostel!

FAQ’s ❓
-How do you afford to travel?
I have had 2 jobs since I was 15 years old and made sure to save at least 90% of that for travel and school. I always have a temporary job when I am home but hope to be able to travel full time to consistently make videos!
-Is traveling solo safe?
I want to say the answer to YES! With lots of caution to everything you do and following my ‘basic backpacker rules’ you should be able to remain safe!

-What has been your favorite countries?
I LOVED Mexico, Nicaragua, Colombia and Ecuador. I know this is a lot but they are all amazing for backpacking throughout the country, meeting international friends, and keeping to a backpacker budget!
