Living in Charlotte NC | Charlotte North Carolina Pros and Cons: Safety, Economy, Fun, and More
Hello All, Welcome to my channel!
Charlotte, North Carolina is a city that has seen an explosion of growth over the years and there is a good reason for it. They offer a diverse job market and population, natural beauty, and some amazing suburbs. Much growth in the area is in Charlotte proper, but the suburbs have seen quite significant growth as well. Places like Davidson, Huntersville, and Cornelius to the north can be expensive, but they may be places to check out for affluent home buyers. Whereas, places like Matthews, NC or Fort Mill SC may be better if you are on a budget.
Charlotte is a very diverse city and you definitely find places that have old fashioned charm and a modern flair throughout the city. The city can have a tendency to be a bit economically segregated, which in turn does lead to pockets of diversity that may not be quite as widespread. Politically, Charlotte is a very liberal city and they are considered a democratic stronghold for the state. If you are conservative, don’t fret. Every surrounding North Carolinian county voted red in the 2020 election. So, no matter which party you may align yourself with you can live somewhere that shares your political beliefs.
Citizens' most significant concern here is probably got to be the high crime rate. The city is 51% higher than the national average in both property and violent crime. When you move to the area, there are definitely places with better crime numbers, so do your homework as much as you can to avoid high crime areas.
Charlotte is a city that offers opportunities for many, while offering a variety of potential lifestyles. If you are interested in moving to Charlotte check out the description for some sources I have linked below that may pique your interest in Charlotte.
