I WON in a VLOGGING CONTEST for Bohol last night! This was my entry. This video is a product of my love for the place I was born and raised: the beautiful Bohol. It's a first small achievement but I want to share this video which I made to participate in an online vlogging contest for Bohol, Philippines. I have to share it here, where I started, in Youtube, where each day even if it's just 1,2,3 or 4 subscribers added, these people inspired me and fueled me to just keep making videos. Do you want to know more about how to get there and what to see when you are on Bohol Island? Then come with me to the Philippines as I take you on a journey to show you how to get to Bohol Island, where to stay on Bohol and some of my favourite things to do on Bohol Island.
This is a video travel guide to the Best things to do and see on Bohol Island in the Philippines. From the beautiful beaches such as Anola Beach on Panglao Island in the south of Bohol to the Chocolate Hills and one of my favourite places to visit on Bohol, the Bohol Tarsier Sanctuary.
Rent a motorcycle and visit to Hinagdanan Cave on Panglao Island, one of the smaller islands offshore from Bohol Island, the Loboc River for a river cruise, Bilar the man made forest, the chocolate hills of Bohol at Carmen, one of tarsier sanctuaries on Bohol Island and let's not forget the beautiful beaches which the Philippine islands are famous for, one of my favourites is Alona Beach which comes to life at night.

But if you're planning to take a trip or move to Bohol, you need to know how much it will cost and your financial options, so let's take a look at the essential information that will help you decide if Bohol is the right place for you or not. Cost of living in Bohol
The first category is accommodation. Tagbilaran (tag be lar ran) is where many foreigners live in Bohol, so we will base these prices on this area. You can find several small two-bedroom apartments in the price range of 6000 pesos to 10,000 pesos (add currency conversion on video). If you're looking to live well, there are some beautiful 2 and 3bedroom houses available in the price range of 14K – 25K. I found that a lot of the properties in this area were unfurnished. With furnished came a price increase of around 12%, based on my calculations.
The next area of interest is the food, and if you are looking to save money, you will certainly enjoy living in Bohol. I found plenty of cheap eats and cost-effective food options across the island. Food delivery services are also available in Tagbilaran City. You will find many western and Filipino options. Food prices were slightly lower compared to Cebu in general, but there are also premium options.
So after doing some cold calling to the local gyms, I found that 100 – 300 pesos is all you need for a day pass. For long-term memberships, prices hover around the 1500 peso mark. However, there are budget-friendly gyms available. What are the living costs of Bohol for foreigners?
Transport is also an important area of concern for foreigners living in Bohol. Ferry prices can fluctuate, but from Cebu to Bohol, you can expect a pay 300 pesos for a one-way ticket. This is the most common and cheapest form of transportation between the islands. Flights from Cebu and manila are a few thousand pesos, so ferry is often the cheapest option. Taxis start at 40 pesos, but jeepneys are the cheapest forms of getting around.
I found the biggest expense to be entertainment such as bars and Tours. Therefore if you have a relatively quiet lifestyle, you will find Bohol cheap. Several YouTubers live in this area and have documented how they can live on an extremely low budget of $1000 or less. But I recommend at least $1500 a month to live in Bohol as an expat. However in all fairness, you can live comfortably for much less. These are the costs of living for expats in Bohol Philippines.

This video is all about the beautiful country that is the province of Bohol Philippines.
Adventures of Gerald and Rhia honors and pays reverence and tribute to this great province. We are staying true to our love for travel as main inspirations that led to the creation our channel that aims to explore and document life's wonders.
Bohol is a province of the Philippines, in the country’s Central Visayas region. It comprises Bohol Island and numerous smaller surrounding islands. Bohol is known for coral reefs and unusual geological formations, notably the Chocolate Hills. On the main island, near the town of Carmen, these 1,200 or so symmetrical mounds turn cocoa-brown in the dry season, contrasting with the surrounding jungle's greenery.
Boholanos still affectionately call their province the ‘Republic of Bohol’, in reference to the island’s short-lived independence at the turn of the 19th century. It's an appropriate appellation – today's successors of the republic are fierce protectors of Bohol's distinctive cultural heritage. The 7.2-magnitude 2013 earthquake killed more than 200 people and destroyed several of the island's majestic Spanish-era churches. Reconstruction is ongoing and is likely to continue for the next few years, but otherwise few obvious effects of the quake are visible.
